1Moreover Elihu answered and said,
1பின்னும் எலிகூ மாறுத்தரமாக:
2Hear my words, ye wise men; And give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
2ஞானிகளே, என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள்; அறிவாளிகளே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்.
3For the ear trieth words, As the palate tasteth food.
3வாயானது போஜனத்தை ருசிபார்க்கிறதுபோல, செவியானது வார்த்தைகளைச் சோதித்துப்பார்க்கும்.
4Let us choose for us that which is right: Let us know among ourselves what is good.
4நமக்காக நியாயமானதைத் தெரிந்துகொள்வோமாக; நன்மை இன்னதென்று நமக்குள்ளே அறிந்துகொள்வோமாக.
5For Job hath said, I am righteous, And God hath taken away my right:
5யோபு: நான் நீதிமான்; தேவன் என் நியாயத்தைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார் என்றும்,
6Notwithstanding my right I am [accounted] a liar; My wound is incurable, [though I am] without transgression.
6நியாயம் என்னிடத்தில் இருந்தும் நான் பொய்யனென்று எண்ணப்படுகிறேன்; மீறுதல் இல்லாதிருந்தும், அம்பினால் எனக்கு உண்டான காயம் ஆறாததாயிருக்கிறதென்றும் சொன்னாரே.
7What man is like Job, Who drinketh up scoffing like water,
7யோபைப்போலவே, பரியாசம்பண்ணுதலைத் தண்ணீரைப்போல் குடித்து,
8Who goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, And walketh with wicked men?
8அக்கிரமக்காரரோடே கூடிக்கொண்டு, துன்மார்க்கரோடே திரிகிறவன் யார்?
9For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing That he should delight himself with God.
9எப்பயடியெனில், தேவன்மேல் பிரியம் வைக்கிறது மனுஷனுக்குப் பிரயோஜனம் அல்ல என்றாரே.
10Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: Far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, And from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
10ஆகையால் புத்திமான்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; அக்கிரமம் தேவனுக்கும், அநீதி சர்வவல்லவருக்கும் தூரமாயிருக்கிறது.
11For the work of a man will he render unto him, And cause every man to find according to his ways.
11மனுஷனுடைய செய்கைக்குத்தக்கதை அவனுக்குச் சரிக்கட்டி, அவனவன் நடக்கைக்குத்தக்கதாக அவனவனுக்குப் பலனளிக்கிறார்.
12Yea, of a surety, God will not do wickedly, Neither will the Almighty pervert justice.
12தேவன் அநியாயஞ் செய்யாமலும், சர்வவல்லவர் நீதியைப் புரட்டாமலும் இருக்கிறது மெய்யே.
13Who gave him a charge over the earth? Or who hath disposed the whole world?
13பூமியின்மேல் மனுஷனுக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்தவர் யார்? பூச்சக்கரம் முழுதையும் ஒழுங்குப்படுத்தினவர் யார்?
14If he set his heart upon himself, [If] he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
14அவர் தம்முடைய இருதயத்தை அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகத் திருப்பினாராகில், அவனுடைய ஆவியையும் அவனுடைய சுவாசத்தையும் தம்மிடத்தில் இழுத்துக்கொள்ளுவார்.
15All flesh shall perish together, And man shall turn again unto dust.
15அப்படியே மாம்சமான யாவும் ஏகமாய் ஜீவித்துப்போம், மனுஷன் தூளுக்குத் திரும்புவான்.
16If now [thou hast] understanding, hear this: Hearken to the voice of my words.
16உமக்கு உணர்விருந்தால் இதைக் கேளும், என் வார்த்தைகளின் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடும்.
17Shall even one that hateth justice govern? And wilt thou condemn him that is righteous [and] mighty?-
17நீதியைப் பகைக்கிற ஒருவன் ஆளக்கூடுமோ? மகா நீதிபரரைக் குற்றப்படுத்துவீரோ?
18[Him] that saith to a king, [Thou art] vile, [Or] to nobles, [Ye are] wicked;
18ஒரு ராஜைவைப் பார்த்து, நீ பொல்லாதவன் என்றும், அதிபதிகளைப் பார்த்து, நீங்கள் அக்கிரமக்காரர் என்றும் சொல்லத்தகுமோ?
19That respecteth not the persons of princes, Nor regardeth the rich more than the poor; For they all are the work of his hands.
19இப்படியிருக்க, பிரபுக்களின் முகத்தைப்பாராமலும், ஏழையைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஐசுவரியவானை அதிகமாய் எண்ணாமலும் இருக்கிறவரை நோக்கி இப்படிச் சொல்லலாமா? இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் அவர் கரங்களின் கிரியையே.
20In a moment they die, even at midnight; The people are shaken and pass away, And the mighty are taken away without hand.
20இப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் சடிதியில் சாவார்கள்; ஜனங்கள் பாதிஜாமத்தில் கலங்கி ஒழிந்துபோவார்கள்; காணாத கையினால் பலவந்தர் அழிந்துபோவார்கள்.
21For his eyes are upon the ways of a man, And he seeth all his goings.
21அவருடைய கண்கள் மனுஷருடைய வழிகளை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது; அவர்களுடைய நடைகளையெல்லாம் அவர் பார்க்கிறார்.
22There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
22அக்கிரமக்காரர் ஒளித்துக்கொள்ளத்தக்க அந்தகாரமுமில்லை, மரணஇருளுமில்லை.
23For he needeth not further to consider a man, That he should go before God in judgment.
23மனுஷன் தேவனோடே வழக்காடும்படி அவர் அவன்மேல் மிஞ்சினதொன்றையும் சுமத்தமாட்டார்.
24He breaketh in pieces mighty men [in ways] past finding out, And setteth others in their stead.
24ஆராய்ந்து முடியாத நியாயமாய் அவர் வல்லமையுள்ளவர்களை நொறுக்கி, வேறே மனுஷரை அவர்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலே நிறுத்துகிறார்.
25Therefore he taketh knowledge of their works; And he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
25அவர்கள் கிரியைகளை அவர் அறிந்தவரானபடியால், அவர்கள் நசுங்கிப்போகத்தக்கதாய் இராக்காலத்தில் அவர்களைக் கவிழ்த்துப்போடுகிறார்.
26He striketh them as wicked men In the open sight of others;
26அவர்கள் அவரை விட்டுப் பின்வாங்கி அவருடைய எல்லா வழிகளையும் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாமல் போனபடியினாலும்,
27Because they turned aside from following him, And would not have regard in any of his ways:
27எளியவர்களின் கூக்குரல் அவரிடத்தில் சேரும்படி செய்ததினாலும், சிறுமையானவனுடைய கூக்குரலைக் கேட்கிற அவர்,
28So that they caused the cry of the poor to come unto him, And he heard the cry of the afflicted.
28எல்லாரும் பார்க்கும்படி அவர்களைத் துன்மார்க்கரென்று அடிக்கிறார்.
29When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn? And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? Alike whether [it be done] unto a nation, or unto a man:
29மாயக்காரன் ஆளாதபடிக்கும், ஜனங்கள் சிக்கிக்கொள்ளப்படாதபடிக்கும்,
30That the godless man reign not, That there be none to ensnare the people.
30ஒரு ஜனத்துக்கானாலும் ஒரு மனுஷனுக்கானாலும், அவர் சமாதானத்தை அருளினால் யார் கலங்கப்பண்ணுவான்? அவர் தமது முகத்தை மறைத்தால் அவரைக் காண்கிறவன் யார்?
31For hath any said unto God, I have borne [chastisement], I will not offend [any more]:
31நான் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டேன்; நான் இனிப் பாவஞ்செய்யமாட்டேன்.
32That which I see not teach thou me: If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more?
32நான் காணாத காரியத்தை நீர் எனக்குப் போதியும், நான் அநியாயம்பண்ணினேனானால், நான் இனி அப்படிச் செய்வதில்லை என்று தேவனை நோக்கிச் சொல்லத்தகுமே.
33Shall his recompense be as thou wilt, that thou refusest it? For thou must choose, and not I: Therefore speak what thou knowest.
33நீர் அப்படிச் செய்யமாட்டோமென்கிறபடியினால், உம்மோடிருக்கிறவர்களில் ஒருவனை உமக்குப் பதிலாக அதைச் செய்யச்சொல்வீரோ? நான் அல்ல, நீரே தெரிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும்; அல்லவென்றால், நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறதைச் சொல்லும்.
34Men of understanding will say unto me, Yea, every wise man that heareth me:
34யோபு அறிவில்லாமல் பேசினார்; அவர் வார்த்தைகள் ஞானமுள்ளவைகள் அல்லவென்று,
35Job speaketh without knowledge, And his words are without wisdom.
35புத்தியுள்ள மனுஷர் என் பட்சமாய்ப் பேசுவார்கள்; ஞானமுள்ள மனுஷனும் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பான்.
36Would that Job were tried unto the end, Because of his answering like wicked men.
36அக்கிரமக்காரர் சொன்ன மறுஉத்தரவுகளினிமித்தம் யோபு முற்றமுடிய சோதிக்கப்படவேண்டியதே என் அபேட்சை.
37For he addeth rebellion unto his sin; He clappeth his hands among us, And multiplieth his words against God.
37தம்முடைய பாவத்தோடே மீறுதலைக் கூட்டினார்; அவர் எங்களுக்குள்ளே கைகொட்டி, தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளை மிகுதியாக வசனித்தார் என்றான்.
