¹[A Psalm] of David. Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.

¹எவனுடைய மீறுதல் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டதோ, எவனுடைய பாவம் மூடப்பட்டதோ, அவன் பாக்கியவான்.

²Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile.

²எவனுடைய அக்கிரமத்தைக் கர்த்தர் எண்ணாதிருக்கிறாரோ, எவனுடைய ஆவியில் கபடமில்லாதிருக்கிறதோ, அவன் பாக்கியவான்.

³When I kept silence, my bones wasted away Through my groaning all the day long.

³நான் அடக்கிவைத்தமட்டும், நித்தம் என் கதறுதலினாலே என் எலும்புகள் உலர்ந்துபோயிற்று.

⁴For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: My moisture was changed [as] with the drought of summer. Selah

⁴இரவும் பகலும் என்மேல் உம்முடைய கை பாரமாயிருந்ததினால், என் சாரம் உஷ்ணகால வறட்சிபோல வறண்டுபோயிற்று. (சேலா)

⁵I acknowledged my sin unto thee, And mine iniquity did I not hide: I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah

⁵நான் என் அக்கிரமத்தை மறைக்காமல், என் பாவத்தை உமக்கு அறிவித்தேன்; என் மீறுதல்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கு அறிக்கையிடுவேன் என்றேன்; தேவரீர் என் பாவத்தின் தோஷத்தை மன்னித்தீர். (சேலா)

⁶For this let every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: Surely when the great waters overflow they shall not reach unto him.

⁶இதற்காகச் சகாயங்கிடைக்குங்காலத்தில் பக்தியுள்ளவனெவனும் உம்மை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பஞ் செய்வான்; அப்பொழுது மிகுந்த ஜலப்பிரவாகம் வந்தாலும் அது அவனை அணுகாது.

⁷Thou art my hiding-place; thou wilt preserve me from trouble; Thou wilt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah

⁷நீர் எனக்கு மறைவிடமாயிருக்கிறீர்; என்னை நீர் இக்கட்டுக்கு விலக்கிக்காத்து, இரட்சணியப் பாடல்கள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளும்படி செய்வீர். (சேலா)

⁸I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.

⁸நான் உனக்குப் போதித்து, நீ நடக்கவேண்டிய வழியை உனக்குக் காட்டுவேன்; உன்மேல் என் கண்ணை வைத்து, உனக்கு ஆலோசனை சொல்லுவேன்.

⁹Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding; Whose trappings must be bit and bridle to hold them in, [Else] they will not come near unto thee.

⁹வாரினாலும் கடிவாளத்தினாலும் வாய் கட்டப்பட்டாலொழிய, உன் கிட்டச் சேராத புத்தியில்லாக் குதிரையைப்போலவும் கோவேறு கழுதையைப்போலவும் இருக்கவேண்டாம்.

¹⁰Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he that trusteth in Jehovah, lovingkindness shall compass him about.

¹⁰துன்மார்க்கனுக்கு அநேக வேதனைகளுண்டு; கர்த்தரை நம்பியிருக்கிறவனையோ கிருபை சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளும்.

¹¹Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous; And shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

¹¹நீதிமான்களே, கர்த்தருக்குள் மகிழ்ந்து களிகூருங்கள்; செம்மையான இருதயமுள்ளவர்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் ஆனந்தமுழக்கமிடுங்கள்.
