¹Rejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous: Praise is comely for the upright.

¹நீதிமான்களே, கர்த்தருக்குள் களிகூருங்கள்; துதிசெய்வது செம்மையானவர்களுக்குத் தகும்.

²Give thanks unto Jehovah with the harp: Sing praises unto him with the psaltery of ten strings.

²சுரமண்டலத்தினால் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து, பத்து நரம்பு வீணையினாலும் அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுங்கள்.

³Sing unto him a new song; Play skilfully with a loud noise.

³அவருக்குப் புதுப்பாட்டைப் பாடுங்கள்; ஆனந்த சத்தத்தோடே வாத்தியங்களை நேர்த்தியாய் வாசியுங்கள்.

⁴For the word of Jehovah is right; And all his work is [done] in faithfulness.

⁴கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உத்தமமும், அவருடைய செய்கையெல்லாம் சத்தியமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

⁵He loveth righteousness and justice: The earth is full of the lovingkindness of Jehovah.

⁵அவர் நீதியிலும் நியாயத்திலும் பிரியப்படுகிறார்; பூமி கர்த்தருடைய காருணியத்தினால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.

⁶By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁶கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையினால் வானங்களும், அவருடைய வாயின் சுவாசத்தினால் அவைகளின் சர்வசேனையும் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டது.

⁷He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: He layeth up the deeps in store-houses.

⁷அவர் சமுத்திர ஜலங்களைக் குவியலாகச் சேர்த்து, ஆழமான ஜலங்களைப் பொக்கிஷவைப்பாக வைக்கிறார்.

⁸Let all the earth fear Jehovah: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

⁸பூமியெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுவதாக; உலகத்திலுள்ள குடிகளெல்லாம் அவருக்கு அஞ்சியிருப்பதாக.

⁹For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

⁹அவர் சொல்ல ஆகும், அவர் கட்டளையிட நிற்கும்.

¹⁰Jehovah bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

¹⁰கர்த்தர் ஜாதிகளின் ஆலோசனையை விருதாவாக்கி, ஜனங்களுடைய நினைவுகளை அவமாக்குகிறார்.

¹¹The counsel of Jehovah standeth fast for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹¹கர்த்தருடைய ஆலோசனை நித்தியகாலமாகவும், அவருடைய இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகள் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாகவும் நிற்கும்.

¹²Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, The people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

¹²கர்த்தரைத் தங்களுக்குத் தெய்வமாகக்கொண்ட ஜாதியும், அவர் தமக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட ஜனமும் பாக்கியமுள்ளது.

¹³Jehovah looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;

¹³கர்த்தர் வானத்திலிருந்து நோக்கிப்பார்த்து, எல்லா மனுபுத்திரரையும் காண்கிறார்.

¹⁴From the place of his habitation he looketh forth Upon all the inhabitants of the earth,

¹⁴தாம் வாசமாயிருக்கிற ஸ்தானத்திலிருந்து பூமியின் குடிகள் எல்லார்மேலும் கண்ணோக்கமாயிருக்கிறார்.

¹⁵He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, That considereth all their works.

¹⁵அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களையெல்லாம் அவர் உருவாக்கி, அவர்கள் செய்கைகளையெல்லாம் கவனித்திருக்கிறார்.

¹⁶There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

¹⁶எந்த ராஜாவும் தன் சேனையின் மிகுதியால் இரட்சிக்கப்படான்; சவுரியவானும் தன் பலத்தின் மிகுதியால் தப்பான்.

¹⁷A horse is a vain thing for safety; Neither doth he deliver any by his great power.

¹⁷இரட்சிக்கிறதற்குக் குதிரை விருதா; அது தன் மிகுந்த வீரியத்தால் தப்புவியாது.

¹⁸Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness;

¹⁸தமக்குப் பயந்து, தமது கிருபைக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களின் ஆத்துமாக்களை மரணத்திற்கு விலக்கி விடுவிக்கவும்;

¹⁹To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.

¹⁹பஞ்சத்தில் அவர்களை உயிரோடே காக்கவும், கர்த்தருடைய கண் அவர்கள்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறது.

²⁰Our soul hath waited for Jehovah: He is our help and our shield.

²⁰நம்முடைய ஆத்துமா கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறது; அவரே நமக்குத் துணையும் நமக்குக் கேடகமுமானவர்.

²¹For our heart shall rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.

²¹அவருடைய பரிசுத்த நாமத்தை நாம் நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், நம்முடைய இருதயம் அவருக்குள் களிகூரும்.

²²Let thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, According as we have hoped in thee.

²²கர்த்தாவே, நாங்கள் உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியே உமது கிருபை எங்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.
