¹उहइ समइया क लगभग राजा हेरोदेस कलीसिया क कछू निअंबर क सताउब सुरू किहेस।

¹Now about that time, King Herod stretched out his hands to oppress some of the assembly.

²उ यूहन्ना क भाई याकूब क तरवार स कतल कराइ दिहेस।

²He killed James, the brother of John, with the sword.

³उ जब इ लखेस कि इ बात स यहूदी खुस होत हीं तउ उ पतरस क भी गिरफतार करइ बरे सोचेस (इ बे खमीरे क रोटी क उत्सव क दिनन क बात अहइ)

³When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This was during the days of unleavened bread.

⁴हेरोदेस पतरस क धइके जेलि मँ धाँध दिहेस। ओका चार चार सिपाहियन क कतार क पहरा लगाइ दीन्ह गवा। मतलब इ रहा कि ओह प मुकदमा चलावइ बरे फसह क त्यौहार पाछे ओका मनइयन क समन्वा बाहेर लइ आवा जाइ।

⁴When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.

⁵तउ पतरस क जेल मँ रोक दीन्ह गवा। ओहर कलीसिया हिरदय स ओकरे बरे परमेस्सरस पराथना करत रही।

⁵Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him.

⁶जब हरोदेस मुकदमा चलावइ बरे ओका बाहेर लोगन क सामने लइ आवइ क रहा, उ रात पतरस दुइ सिपाहियन क बीच सोवा रहा। उ दुइ जंजीरे स बँधा रहा अउर दुआर प पहरुआ जेल क रखवारी करत रहेन।

⁶The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.

⁷एकाएक पर्भू क सरगदूत हुँवा आइके खड़ा भवा, जेल क खोली रोसनी स जगमगाइ उठी। उ पतरस क बगली थपथपाएस अउर ओका जगावत भवा कहेस, “हाली, खड़ा ह्वा!” जंजीर ओकरे हाथ मँ खुलके गिरि गइ।

⁷And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying, “Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off from his hands.

⁸तबहिं सरगदूत ओका कहेस, “तइयार ह्वा अउर आपन चप्पल पहिरा।” तउ पतरस वइसा ही किहेस। सरगदूत ओका फिन कहेस, “आपन चोगा पहिरा अउर मोरे पाछे चला आवा।”

⁸The angel said to him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him, “Put on your cloak, and follow me.”

⁹फिन ओकरे पाछे-पाछे पतरस बाहेर निकरि आवा। उ समुझ नाहीं पाएस कि सरगदूत जउन कछू करत रहा, उ फुरइ रहा। उ बिचारेस कि उ कउनो दर्सन लखत अहइ।

⁹And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.

¹⁰पहिले अउर दूसर पहरे क छोड़िके आगे बटत भवा उ पचे लोहा क उ फाटक प आइ गएऩ जउन सहर कइँति जात रहा। उ फाटक ओनकइ बरे खुद ही खुलि गवा। अउर उ पचे बाहेर निकरि गएन। उ पचे अबहिं गली क पार किहेन कि उ सरगदूत एकाएक ओका छोड़ि गवा।

¹⁰When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.

¹¹फिन पतरस क जइसे होस आवा, उ बोला, “अब मोरी समझ मँ आवा ह कि असल मँ फुरइ अहइ कि पर्भू आपन सरगदूत क पठइके हेरोदेस क पंजा स मोका छुटकारा दियाएस ह। यहूदी लोग मोह प जउन कछू बुरा होइ क सोचत रहेन, ओहसे उहइ मोका बचाएस ह।”

¹¹When Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.”

¹²जब उ इ समझ गवा तउ उ यूहन्ना क महतारी मरियम क घर चला गवा। (यूहन्ना जउन मरकुस भी कहवावत ह।) हुँवा ढेर मिला बटुरा रहेन अउर पराथना करत रहेन।

¹²Thinking about that, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.

¹³पतरस दुआरे क बाहेर स खटखटाएस ओका लखइ रूदे ऩाउँ क एक दासी हुँवा आइ।

¹³When Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a maid named Rhoda came to answer.

¹⁴पतरस क अवाज क पहिचान के खुसी क मारे ओकरे बरे फाटक बगैर खोले भए उ उलटिके भीतर दउड़ आइ अउर उ बताएस कि पतरस दुआरे प खड़ा अहइ।

¹⁴When she recognized Peter’s voice, she didn’t open the gate for joy, but ran in, and reported that Peter was standing in front of the gate.

¹⁵उ पचे ओसे बोलेन, “तू पागल होइ गइ अहा।” मुला उ जोर दइके कहतइ रही कि इ अइसा ही अहइ। ऍह पॅइ उ पचे कहेन, “उ ओकर सरगदूत होइ।”

¹⁵They said to her, “You are crazy!” But she insisted that it was so. They said, “It is his angel.”

¹⁶ओहर पतरस दुआर खटखटावत ही रहा। फिन उ पचे जब दुआर खोलेन तउ उ पचे अचरज मँ पड़ि गएन।

¹⁶But Peter continued knocking. When they had opened, they saw him, and were amazed.

¹⁷ओनकइ हाथे स चुप रहइ क इसारा करत भए उ खोलिके बताएस कि पर्भू ओका जेलि स कइसे बाहेर निकारेस ह। उ कहेस, “य़ाकूब अउर दूसर भइयन क इ बारे मँ बताइ दिहा।” अउर तब उ ठहर क तजिके कउनो दूसर स्थान प चला गवा।

¹⁷But he, beckoning to them with his hand to be silent, declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. He said, “Tell these things to James, and to the brothers.” Then he departed, and went to another place.

¹⁸जब भोर भवा तउ पहरुअन मँ बड़ी खलबली मचि गइ। उ पचे अचरज मँ पड़ा सोचत रहेन कि पतरस क संग का भवा होइ।

¹⁸Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Peter.

¹⁹ऍकरे पाछे हेरोदेस जब ओकर छानबीन कइ चुका अउर उ ओका नाहीं मिला तउ उ आपन पहरुअन स पूछताछ किहेस अउर ओनका मारि डावइ क हुकुम दिहेस। हेरोदेस फिन यहूदिया स जाइके कैसरिया मँ रहइ लाग। हुँवा उ कछू समइ बिताएस।

¹⁹When Herod had sought for him, and didn’t find him, he examined the guards, and commanded that they should be put to death. He went down from Judea to Caesarea, and stayed there.

²⁰उ सूर अउर सैदा क मनइयन स बहोत कोहान रहत रहा। उ पचे एक झुण्ड बनइके ओसे भेंटइ आइ रहेन। राजा क खुद क सेवक बलास्तुस क मान मनउवल कइके उ पचे हरोदेस स सांति क पराथना किहेन काहेकि ओनकइ देस क राजा क देस स खाइक मिलत रहा।

²⁰Now Herod was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon. They came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus, the king’s personal aide, their friend, they asked for peace, because their country depended on the king’s country for food.

²¹एक निहचत दिन हेरोदेस आपन राजसी वेस-भूसा पहिरिके आपन सिंहासन प बइठा अउर मनइयन क बियाख्यान देइ लाग।

²¹On an appointed day, Herod dressed himself in royal clothing, sat on the throne, and gave a speech to them.

²²लोग चिचियाने, “इ तउ कउनो देवता क बानी अहइ, मनई क नाहीं।”

²²The people shouted, “The voice of a god, and not of a man!”

²³काहेकि हेरोदेस परमेस्सर क महिमा नाहीं दिहेस, यह बरे फउरन पर्भू क एक दूत ओका बीमार कइ दिहेस। अउर ओहमाँ किरवा परि गएन जउन खाइ लागेन अउर उ मरि गवा।

²³Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn’t give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.

²⁴मुला परमेस्सर क बचन क प्रचार होत रहा अउर उ फइलत जात रहा अउर बिसवासियन की संख्यि बढ़त जात रही।

²⁴But the word of God grew and multiplied.

²⁵बरनाबस अउर साऊल आपन काम पूरा कइके मरकुस कहवावइवाला यूहन्ना का भी संग लइके अन्ताकिया लौटि आएऩ।

²⁵Barnabas and Saul returned to TR reads “from” instead of “to” Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their service, also taking with them John whose surname was Mark.
