1पौलुस दिरबे अउर लुस्त्रा मँ भी आवा। हुवँइ तीमुथियुस नाउँ क एक चेला रहा। उ कउनो बिसवासी यहूदी स्त्री क बेटवा रहा मुला ओकर बाप यूनानी रहा।
1He came to Derbe and Lystra: and behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewess who believed; but his father was a Greek.
2लुस्त्रा अउर इकुनियुम क सहर क भाइयन क संग ओकर अच्छा उठब बैठब रहा।
2The brothers who were at Lystra and Iconium gave a good testimony about him.
3पौलुस तीमुथियुस क जात्रा प लइ जावा चाहत रहा। तउ उ ओका आपन संग लइ लिहेस अउर स्थानन प बसइया यहूदियन क कारण ओकर खतना किहेस; काहेकि उ पचे सबहिं जानत रहेन कि ओकर बाप एक यूनानी रहा।
3Paul wanted to have him go out with him, and he took and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts; for they all knew that his father was a Greek.
4सहरन स जात्रा करत भवा उ पचे हुवाँ क मनइयन क ओन नियम क बारे मँ बताएन जेनका यरुसलेम मँ प्रेरितन अउर बुजुर्गन तय कइ दिहे रहेन।
4As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered the decrees to them to keep which had been ordained by the apostles and elders who were at Jerusalem.
5इ तरह हुवाँ क कलीसिया क बिसवास अउर मजबूत होत गोवा अउर रोज हर ओनकइ गनती बाढ़त गइ।
5So the assemblies were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily.
6तउ उ पचे फ्रूगिया अउर गलातिया क पहँटा स होइके निकरेन काहेकि पवित्तर आतिमा ओनका एसिया मँ पवित्तर बचन क प्रचार क मना कइ दिहे रही।
6When they had gone through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.
7फिन उ पचे जब मूसिया क सरहदे प पहोंचन तउ उ पचे बितूनिया मँ प्रवेस किहेन। मुला ईसू क आतिमा ओनका हुवाँ भी जाइ नाहीं दिहेस।
7When they had come opposite Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit didn’t allow them.
8तउ उ पचे मूसिया होत भए त्रोआस पहोंचेन।
8Passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.
9राति क समइ पौलुस दिब्य दर्सन मँ निहारेस कि मैसीडोनिया क मनई ओसे पराथना करत भवा कहत अहइ, “मैसीडोनिया मँ आवा अउर हमार मदद करा!”
9A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, “Come over into Macedonia and help us.”
10इ दिब्य दर्सन क लखे क पाछे तुरंतहि इ नतीजा निकारत भए कि परमेस्सर ओन मनइयन क बीच सुसमाचार क प्रचार करइ हमका बोलाए अहइ हम पचे मैसीडोनिया जाइ बरे ठान लीन्ह।
10When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Good News to them.
11इ तरह हम त्रोआस स जल मार्ग क जरिए जाइ बरे आपन नाउ खोलि दीन्ह अउर सोझइ समोथ्राके जाइ पहोंचेन। फिन अगले दिन नियापुलिस चला गएन।
11Setting sail therefore from Troas, we made a straight course to Samothrace, and the day following to Neapolis;
12हुवाँ स हम पचे एक रोमी उपनिवेस फिलिप्पी पहुँचेन जउ मैसीडोनिया क उ पहँटा क एक प्रमुख सहर रहा। इ सहर मँ हम कछू दिन बितावा।
12and from there to Philippi, which is a city of Macedonia, the foremost of the district, a Roman colony. We were staying some days in this city.
13फिन सबित क दिन इ बिचारत भए कि पराथना करइ बरे हुवाँ कउनो स्थान होइ हम सहर-दुआरे नदि क तीरे गए। हम पचे हुवाँ बइठे अउर बटुरी भइ स्त्रियन स बातचीत करइ लागे।
13On the Sabbath day we went forth outside of the city by a riverside, where we supposed there was a place of prayer, and we sat down, and spoke to the women who had come together.
14हुवँई लुदिया नाउँ क एक स्त्री रही। उ बैगनी रंग क ओढ़ना क बिऋी करत रही। उ परमेस्सर क आराधिका रही। उ बड़ा धियान स हमार बातन क सुनत रही। पर्भू ओकरे हिरदय क दुआर खोल दिहस ताकि, जउन कछू पौलुस कहत रहा, उ ओन बातन प धियान देइ सकइ।
14A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one who worshiped God, heard us; whose heart the Lord opened to listen to the things which were spoken by Paul.
15आपन समूचइ परिवार क संग बपतिस्मा लेए क पाछे उ हम सबन स इ कहत भए बिनती किहेस, “जदि तू पचे मोका पर्भू ईसू क सच्चा भगत मानत ह तउ मोरे घरे आवा।” तउ उ हम पचन क जाइ बरे तइयार किहेस।
15When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and stay.” So she persuaded us.
16फिन अइसा भवा कि जब हम पचे पराथना ठउर कइँति जात रहे, हम पचन क एक दासी मिली जेहमाँ एक सगुन वतावइ वाली आतिमा क सवारी रहीं। उ मनइयन क भाग्ग बताइके आपन मालिकन क ढेर धन कमाइके देत रही।
16It happened, as we were going to prayer, that a certain girl having a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by fortune telling.
17उ हमरे पौलुस क पाछे इ चिचियात भइ होइ गइ “इ पचे परम परमेस्सर क सेवक अहइँ। इ पचे तोहका मुक्ति क रस्ता क संदेसा सुनावत अहइँ।”
17Following Paul and us, she cried out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us a way of salvation!”
18उ बहोत दिनाँ तलक अइसा ही करत रहाइ तउ पौलुस परेसान होइ गवा। उ मुड़िके उ आतिमा स कहेस, “मइँ ईसू मसीह क नाउँ प तोहका आदेस देत हउँ, ‘इ बिटिया मँ स बाहेर निकरि आवा!”‘ तउ उ फउरन ओहमाँ स बाहेर निकरि गइ।
18She was doing this for many days. But Paul, becoming greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” It came out that very hour.
19फिन ओकर स्वामी लोगन जब लखेन कि ओनकइ कमाई क आसा स मन टूटि गवा अहइ तउ उ पचे पौलुस अउर सिलास क धइ दहबोचेन अउर ओऩका घेरर्ावत भए बजार क बीच नगर क अधिकारियन क समन्वा लइ गएऩ।
19But when her masters saw that the hope of their gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas, and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.
20फिन न्यायकर्ता क लगे ओनका लइ जाइके बोलेन, “इ सबइ यहूदियन अहइँ अउर हमरे सहर मँ गड़बड़ी फइलावत बाटेन।
20When they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, “These men, being Jews, are agitating our city,
21इ पचे अइसी रीति रिवाज क दोहाई देत हीं जेनका अपनाउब या जेन पइ चलब हम रोमी मनइयन बरे निआव क मुताबिक नाहीं बा।”
21and set forth customs which it is not lawful for us to accept or to observe, being Romans.”
22भीड़ भी खिलाफत मँ मनइयन क संग होइके हमला करइ आइ। दण्डनायक भी ओनकइ ओढ़ना फाड़िके उतरवाइ दिहेन अउर आग्या दिहेन कि ओनकइ कुटुम्मस होइ।
22The multitude rose up together against them, and the magistrates tore their clothes off of them, and commanded them to be beaten with rods.
23ओन पइ बहोत मारि पड़ चुकइ क पाछे उ पचे ओनका जेल मँ डाइ दिहेन अउर जेल क अधिकारि क आदेस दिहेन कि ओनके बरे करर्ा पहरा बइठाइ दीन्ह जाइ।
23When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely,
24अइसा आदेस पाइके उ ओनका जेल क भितरी खोली मँ धाँध दिहेन। उ ओनकइ गोड़वा मँ कठघरा जड़ दिहेन।
24who, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison, and secured their feet in the stocks.
25लगभग आधी राति बीते प पौलुस अउर सीलस परमेस्सर क भजन गावत भएऩ पराथना करत रहेन अउर दूसर कैदी ओनका अनकत रहेन।
25But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
26तब्बइ हुवाँ अचानक एक अइसा खौफनाक भूचाल आवा कि जेल क नींव हल गइ। अउर फउरन जेल क फटक्का खुल गवा। हर कउनो क बेड़ी ढ़ीली होइके फिसल गइ।
26Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were loosened.
27जेलि क अधिकारी जागिके जब लखेस कि जेलि क फटक्का खुलि गवा अहइँ तउ उ आपन तरवार हींच लिहेस अउर इ सोचत भए कैदी पराइ गएन बाटेन। उ खुद क मार डावइ वाला रहा तबहिं
27The jailer, being roused out of sleep and seeing the prison doors open, drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
28पौलुस उँची अवाज मँ चिल्लाइके कहेस, “आपन क नस्कान जिन पहोंचावा काहेकि हम सब हियँइ अही।”
28But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, “Don’t harm yourself, for we are all here!”
29ऍह पइ जेल क अधिकारी मसाल मँगवाएस अउर हल्बुली मँ भितरे गवा। अउर डर स काँपत भवा पौलुस अउर सीलास क समन्वा भहराइ पड़ा।
29He called for lights and sprang in, and, fell down trembling before Paul and Silas,
30फिन उ ओनका बाहेर लइ जाइके बोला, “साहेब लोगो, उद्धार पावइ बरे मोका का करइ चाही?”
30and brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
31उ पचे जवाब दिहेन, “पर्भू ईसू प बिसवास करा। ऍहसे तोहार उद्धार होइ-तोहार अउर तोहरे परिवार क।”
31They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
32फिन ओकरे सारे परिवार क संग उ सबइ ओका पर्भू क बचन सुनाएन।
32They spoke the word of the Lord to him, and to all who were in his house.
33ओकरे पाछे जेल क अधिकारी उहइ रात अउर उहइ घड़ी ओनका हुवाँ स लइ गवा। उ ओकर घाव धोएस अउर आपन सारे परिवार क संग बपतिस्मा लिहेस।
33He took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes, and was immediately baptized, he and all his household.
34फिन उ पौलुस अउर सीलास क आपन घर लइ गवा अउर ओनका खइया क खिलाएस। परमेस्सर मँ बिसवास क कारण उ आपन समूचइ परिवार क संग आनन्द मनाएस।
34He brought them up into his house, and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, with all his household, having believed in God.
35जब भोर भवा तउ हाकिम इ कहइ बरे पिआदा क हुवाँ पठएन कि ओन पचन क छोड़ दीन्ह जाइ।
35But when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants, saying, “Let those men go.”
36फिन जेलि क अधिकारी इ बतियाँ पौलुस क बखानेस’ “दण्डधिकारी तू पचन क छोड़ि देइ क कहवाइ पठएन ह। यह बरे अब तू बाहेर आवा अउर सांति क साथ चला जा।”
36The jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates have sent to let you go; now therefore come out, and go in peace.”
37मुला पौलुस ओन सिपाहियन स कहेस, “जद्यपि हम रोमी नागरिक अही, मुला उ पचे हमका बिना अपराधी होए बिना सब मनइयन क समन्वा मारेन पीटेन ह अउर जेलि मँ धाँध दिहेन। अउर अब चुप्पे चुप्पे उ पचे हमका बाहेर पठइ देत चाहत हीं, निहचय ही अइसी नाहीं होइ। होइ तउ इ चाही कि उ पचे खुद ही आइके हम पचन क बाहेर खदेरइँ।”
37But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us publicly, without a trial, men who are Romans, and have cast us into prison! Do they now release us secretly? No, most certainly, but let them come themselves and bring us out!”
38सिपाही लोग न्याहाधीस क इ सब्द जाइके सुनाएन। न्यायाधीस क जब इ पता लाग कि पौलुस अउर सीलास रोमी आहइँ तउ उ सबइ बहोत ससाइ गएन।
38The sergeants reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans,
39तउ उ पचे हुवाँ आएन अउर ओनसे छमा माँगिके ओऩका बाहेर लइ गएऩ अउर ओनसे सहर क तजि देइ क कहेन।
39and they came and begged them. When they had brought them out, they asked them to depart from the city.
40पौलुस अउर सीलास जेल स बाहेर निकरिके लुदिया क घर पहोंचेन। धर्म बंधुअन स मिलत भए उ पचे ओनकइ हौसला बढ़ाएऩ अउर फिन हुवाँ स चलि दिहेन।
40They went out of the prison, and entered into Lydia’s house. When they had seen the brothers, they encouraged them, and departed.
