¹फिर अम्फिपुलिस अउर अपुल्लोनिया क सफर पूरा कइके उ पचे थिस्सलुनीके पहोंच गएऩ। हुवाँ यहूदियन क एक आराधनालय रहा।

¹Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue.

²आपन साधारण सुभाव क अनुसार पौलुस ओनके लगे गवा अउर तीन सबित क दिन तलक ओनकइ संग सास्तरन प बिचार क लेन-देन करत रहा।

²Paul, as was his custom, went in to them, and for three Sabbath days reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

³अउर सास्तरन स लइके ओनका समझावत भवा इ सिद्ध करत रहा कि मसीह क यातनाइँ झेलइ क रहा अउर फिन ओका मरा भवन मँ स जी उठब रहा। उ कहत, “इ ईसू ही, जेकर मइँ तोहार बीच प्रचार करत हउँ, मसीह अहइ।”

³explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.”

⁴ओहमाँ स कछू जउन ओकरे मते स मेल खाएन, पौलुस अउर सीलास क मत मँ सामिल होइ गएन। परमेस्सर स डेराइवालन अगिनती यूनानी भी ओहमाँ मिलि गहन। एहमाँ ढेर खास खास स्त्रियन भी मिलि गएन।

⁴Some of them were persuaded, and joined Paul and Silas, of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and not a few of the chief women.

⁵मुला यहूदी तउ डाह मँ जरत भूँजत रहेन। उ पचे कछू बाजारू जुण्डन क बटोरेन अउर एक मजमा बनइके सहर मँ दंगा कराइ दिहेन। उ पचे यासोन क घर मँ धावा बोल दिहेन। अउर इ जतन करइ लागेन कि कउऩो तरह पौलुस अउर सीलास क मनइयन क समन्वा लइ आवइँ।

⁵But the unpersuaded Jews took along TR reads “And the Jews who were unpersuaded, becoming envious and taking along” instead of “But the unpersuaded Jews took along” some wicked men from the marketplace, and gathering a crowd, set the city in an uproar. Assaulting the house of Jason, they sought to bring them out to the people.

⁶मुला जब उ पचे ओनका नाहीं पाइ सकेन तउ यासोन क अउर कछू दूसर भाइयन क सहर क अधिकारी क समन्वा घेरर्ाइ के लइ आएन। उ पचे चिचियानेन, “इ मनइयन जउऩ सारी दुनिया मँ उथर पुथर मचाए बाटेन अब उ पचे हियाँ आइ अहइँ।

⁶When they didn’t find them, they dragged Jason and certain brothers The word for “brothers” here and where the context allows may be also correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” before the rulers of the city, crying, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here also,

⁷अउर यासोन सम्मान क संग ओऩका आपन घरवा मँ ठहराए बा। अउर उ पचे सबहिं कैसर क आदेसन क खिलाप काम करत बाटेन। अउर कहत हीं एक राजा अउर अहइ जेकर नाउँ अहइ ईसू।”

⁷whom Jason has received. These all act contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus!”

⁸जब भीड़ अउर सहर क अधिकारी इ सुनेन तउ उ पचे भड़केन।

⁸The multitude and the rulers of the city were troubled when they heard these things.

⁹अउर इ तरह उ पचे यासोन अउर दूसर मनइयन क जमानती मुचलका लइके छोड़ दिहेन।

⁹When they had taken security from Jason and the rest, they let them go.

¹⁰फिन तुरंतहि रातउ रात पौलुस अउर सीलास क बिरीया पठइ दिहेन। हुवाँ पहुँचिके उ सबइ यहूदी, आराधनालय मँ गएन।

¹⁰The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Beroea. When they arrived, they went into the Jewish synagogue.

¹¹इ पचे थिस्सलुनीके क मनइयन स जिआदा नीक रहेन। इ मनइयन पूरा चित्त लगाइके बचन क सुनेन अउर हर दिन सास्तरन क उलटत पलटत भएऩ जाँच करत रहेन कि पौलुस जउन बातन क बताएस ह, का उ बातन फुर अहइँ।

¹¹Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

¹²एकरे कारण बहोत स यहूदी लोग अउर खास खास यूनानी स्त्री-पुरुसन भी बिसवास धरेन।

¹²Many of them therefore believed; also of the prominent Greek women, and not a few men.

¹³मुला जब थिस्सलुनिके क यहूदियन क इ पता लाग कि पौलुस बिरीया मँ भी परमेस्सर क बचन क प्रचार करत बाटइ तउ उ पचे हुवँई आइ धमकेन। अउर हुवाँ भी गल्बा करइ अउर मनइयन क हुस्कावइ सुरू कइ दिहन।

¹³But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was proclaimed by Paul at Beroea also, they came there likewise, agitating the multitudes.

¹⁴यह बरे तबहिं भाइयन तुरंत पौलुस क समुद्दर क किनारे जाइ क पठएन। मुला सीलास अउर तीमुथियुस हुवइँ ठहरा रहेन।

¹⁴Then the brothers immediately sent out Paul to go as far as to the sea, and Silas and Timothy still stayed there.

¹⁵पौलुस क लइ जाइवालन मनइयन ओका एथेंस पहुँचाइ दिहेन अउर सीलास अउर तीमुथियुस बरे इ हुकुम दइके कि उ पचे हाली स ओकरे लगे आइ जाइँ, हुवाँ स चल दिहेन।

¹⁵But those who escorted Paul brought him as far as Athens. Receiving a commandment to Silas and Timothy that they should come to him very quickly, they departed.

¹⁶पौलुस एथेंस मँ तीमुथियुस अउर सीलास क जोहत भए सहर क मूरत स भरा भवा लखिके मन ही मने मँ तिलमिलात रहा।

¹⁶Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw the city full of idols.

¹⁷यह बरे हर रोज आराधनालय मँ यहूदियन अउर यूनानी भगतन जउन असली भगवान का पूजत रहेन स बहस-मुबाहसा करत रहा। हुवाँ बजार-हाट मँ जउन कउनो होत उ ओहसे भी हर रोज तर्क करत रहत।

¹⁷So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the marketplace every day with those who met him.

¹⁸कछू इपीकूरी अउर स्तोईकी दर्सन क ग्यानी भी ओसे सास्तार्थ करइ लागेन। ओहमाँ स कछू कहेन, “इ अंटसंट बोलवइया कहब क चाहत ह?” दूसर लोग कहेन, “इ तउ बिदेसी देवतन क प्रचारक जान पड़त ह।” उ पचे इ यह बरे कहे रहेन कि उ ईसू क बारे मँ उपदेस देत रहा अउर ओकरे फिन स जी उठइ क प्रचार करत रहा।

¹⁸Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers also TR omits “also” were conversing with him. Some said, “What does this babbler want to say?” Others said, “He seems to be advocating foreign deities,” because he preached Jesus and the resurrection.

¹⁹उ पचे ओका धइके अरियुपगुस क सभा मँ आपन संग लइ गएऩ अउर बोलेन, “का हम जान सक्ति ह कि तू जउन मनइयन क समन्वा रखत बाट्या, उ नई सिच्छा का अहइ?

¹⁹They took hold of him, and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “May we know what this new teaching is, which is spoken by you?

²⁰तू कछू अजूबी बात हमरे काने मँ डावत अहा, तउ हम पचे जानइ चाहित ह कि इ बातन का अरथ का अहइ?”

²⁰For you bring certain strange things to our ears. We want to know therefore what these things mean.”

²¹हुवाँ रहत भए एथेंस क सबहिं मनइयन अउर परदेसि सिरिफ बिल्कुल नवा सुनइ या ओनही बातन क चर्चा क अलावा कउनो भी अउर बातन मँ आपन समइ न लागावत रहेन।

²¹Now all the Athenians and the strangers living there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

²²तब पौलुस अरियुपगुस क समन्वा खड़ा होइके कहेस, “हे एथेंस क मनइयन, मइँ लखत हउँ कि तू पचे हर तरह स धार्मिक अहा।

²²Paul stood in the middle of the Areopagus, and said, “You men of Athens, I perceive that you are very religious in all things.

²³टहरत फिरत तोहार आराधना क चीजन क लखिके मोका एक अइसी वेदी भी मिली जेह पइ लिखा रहा, ‘अनबूझ परमेस्सर बरे’ तउ तू पचे बेजानिके जेकर आराधना करत बाट्या मइँ तोहका उहइ बचन क सुनावत हउँ।

²³For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ What therefore you worship in ignorance, this I announce to you.

²⁴“परमेस्सर, जउऩ इ जगत क अउर इ जगत भितरे जउऩ कछू बा, ओकर रचना किहेस, उहइ धरती अउर अकास क पर्भू अहइ। उ हथवा स बनावा गवा मंदिर मँ नाहीं रहत।

²⁴The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands,

²⁵ओकरे लगे कउऩो चीजे क कमी नाहीं बा। ऍहसे मनई क हथवा स ओकर सेवा नाहीं होइ सकत। उहइ सबन क जिन्नगी, साँस अउर दूसर सब कछू देत रहत ह।

²⁵neither is he served by men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things.

²⁶“एक ही मनई स उ मऩई क सबहिं जातिन क बनएस ताकि उ पसे समूचइ धरती प बसि जाइँ अउर उहइ मनइयन क समइ निश्चय कइ दिहेस अउर उ ठउर क जहाँ उ पचे रहइँ, चउहद्दी बाँधि दिहेस।

²⁶He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings,

²⁷ओकर मतलब इ रहा कि मनई परमेस्सर क हेरइँ। होइ सकत ह कि उ पचे ओका ओकरे ताई पहोंचिक पाई सकइँ। ऍतना होए प भी हम सबन मँ कउनो स भी उ दूर नाहीं बा:

²⁷that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

²⁸‘काहेकि उहइ मँ हम पचे रहित ह, उहइ मँ हमारा चलब फिरब बा अउर उहइ मँ हमार थिर रहब बा!’ इहइ तरह खुद तोहरे ही कछू लिखवइया भी कहेन ह: ‘काहेकि हम पचे ओकर बचवा अही।’

²⁸‘For in him we live, and move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’

²⁹अउर काहेकि हम परमेस्सर क संतान अही। यह बरे हमका इ कबहुँ नाहीं सोचइ चाही कि उ देउता सोना या चाँदी या पाथर क बनी भइ मानुस कल्पना या कारीगरी स बनी भइ कउनो मूरत जइसी अहइ।

²⁹Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold, or silver, or stone, engraved by art and design of man.

³⁰अइसे अगियान क जुग क परमेस्सर धियान नाहीं दिहेस अउर अब हर कतहुँ क मनई क मनफिराव क आदेस देत बाटइ।

³⁰The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,

³¹उ एक दिन तय किहेस ह जब उ आपन एक मनई क जरिए जेका उ मुकईर किहेस ह निआव स दुनिया क निआव करी। मरे भएऩ मँ स ओका जिआइके उ हर कउनो क इ बात क परमान दिहेस ह!”

³¹because he has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he has ordained; of which he has given assurance to all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.”

³²जब उ पचे मरे भएऩ मँ स जी उठइ का बात सुनेन तउ ओहमाँ स कछू तउ ओकर हँसी हसारत करइ लागेन मुला कछू कहेन, “हम सबइ इ विसय प फिन कबहुँ तोहार प्रबचन सुनब।”

³²Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; but others said, “We want to hear you again concerning this.”

³³तब पौलुस ओनका तजिके चल दिहेस।

³³Thus Paul went out from among them.

³⁴कछू मनइयन बिसवास कइ लिहेन अउर ओकरे संग होइ गएऩ। एहमाँ अरियुपगुस क निअम्बर दियुनुसियुस अउर दमरिस नाउँ क स्री अउर ओकरे संगे क अउर मिला भी रहेन।

³⁴But certain men joined with him, and believed, among whom also was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
