¹जब उ सबेनह जात रहेन तउ उ एक ठु पैदाइसी आँधर मनई क देखेस।

¹As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.

²इ देखि क ईसू क चेलन ओसे पूछेन, गुरू, इ मनई आँधर पैदा भवा ह मूला केकरे पाप क कारण उ आँधर भवा ह अपने पाप या अपने महतारी बाप क?”

²His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

³ईसू जवाब दिहेस, “न तउ इ कउनो पाप करे अहइ अउर न एकर महतारी बाप कउनो पाप करे अहइँ। इ एह बरे आँधर पैदा भवा अहइ जइसे कि ऍका नीक कइके परमेस्सर क ताकत देखाई जा सकइ।

³Jesus answered, “Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but, that the works of God might be revealed in him.

⁴ओकर काम जउन मोका भेजे अहइ, दिन रहतइ कइ लेइ चाही, काहेकि जब रात होइ जाइ तउ कउनो काम नाहीं होइ पावत।

⁴ I must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.

⁵जब तलक मइँ इ दुनियाँ मँ अहइ तब तलक मइँ दुनिया क ज्योति अहउँ।”

⁵ While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

⁶ऍतना कहिके ईसू जमीन प थूकेस अउर ओसे थोरि क माटी सानेस ओका आँधर मनई क आँखी प मल दिहेस।

⁶When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,

⁷अउर ओसे कहेस, “जा अउर सीलोह क पोखरा मँ धोइ आवा।” (सीलोह क मतलब अहइ “भेजा भवा।”) अउर फिन उ आँधर जाइके आपन आँखी धोइ आवा। जब उ लौटा तउ ओका देखॅाइ देइ लाग।”

⁷and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.

⁸फिन ओकर पड़ोसी अउर उ लोग जउऩ ओका भीख माँगत देखत रहेन, कहेन, “का इ उहइ मनई अहइ जउऩ बइठे-बइठे भीख माँगत रहा?”

⁸The neighbors therefore, and those who saw that he was blind before, said, “Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”

⁹Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.” He said, “I am he.”

¹⁰इ देखिके उ सबेन्ह ओसे पूछेस, “तोहका आँखी क प्रकास कइसन मिली?”

¹⁰They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”

¹¹उ जवाब दिहेस, “ईसू नाउँ क एक मनई माटी सानके मोरी आँखी प मलेस अउ मोसे कहेस, जा अउर सीलोह मँ धोइ आवा अउर मइँ जाइके धोइ आएउँ। मोका उहइ वजह स आँखन क प्रकास मिल गवा।”

¹¹He answered, “A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”

¹²फिन उ सबेन्ह ओसे पूछेन, “उ कहाँ अहइ?” उ जवाब दिहेस, “मोका पता नाहीं अहइ।”

¹²Then they asked him, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.”

¹³उ मनई जउन पहिले आँधर रहा, उ सबेन्ह ओका फरीसियन क पास लइ गएन।

¹³They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.

¹⁴जउने दिन ईसू, माटी सानके अँधरे क आँखी क प्रकास दिहे रहा। उ सबित क दिन रहा।

¹⁴It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.

¹⁵ऍह तरह फरीसियन ओसे एक बार फिन पूछइ लागेन, “उ अपने आँखिन क प्रकास कइसे पाएस?” उ बताएस, “उ मोरी आँखी प गीली माटी लेपेस अउर मोसे कहेस, जा धोइ ल्या,’ मइँ धोइ लीन्ह अउर अब देख सकित हउँ।”

¹⁵Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”

¹⁶कछू फरीसी कहइ लागेन, “इ मनई परमेस्सर क तरफ स न अहइ, एह बरे कि इ सबित क पालन नाहीं करत।” एक क सुनिके दूसर मनई बोलेन, “कउनो पापी मनई भला ऍतना अदूभुत कारजन कइसे कइ सकत ह” इ तरह स ओनके बीच मँ आपस मँ मतभेत होइ लाग।

¹⁶Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” There was division among them.

¹⁷फिन यहूदी नेतन उ आँधर मनई स बोलेन, “ओकरे बाबत तू का कहत अहा? एह बरे कि तू जानत अहा कि उ तोका आँखी दिहे अहइ।”

¹⁷Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”

¹⁸यहूदी नेतन ओह समइ तक ओकरे ऊपर बिसवास नाहीं करत रहेन, कि उ मनई आँधर रहा अउर ओकरे आँखिन का प्रकास मिल गवा। जब तक ओकरे महतारी बाप क बोलाइके

¹⁸The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,

¹⁹उ पचे इ नाहीं पूछ लिहेन कि, “का इ तोहार बेटवा अहइ जेकरे बारे मँ तू कहत अहा कि वह आँधर रहा। फिन इ कइसे होइ सकत ह कि अब उ देख सकत ह”

¹⁹and asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”

²⁰इ सुनिके ओकर महतारी बाप जवाब देत कहेन, “हम जानित ह कि हमार बेटवा अहइ अउर हमार बेटवा पैदाइसी आँधर रहा।

²⁰His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;

²¹मुला हम इ नाहीं जानित कि अब उ कइसे देख सकत ह अउर न तउ हम इ जानित थी कि एका आँखिन मँ प्रकास के दिहेस। अब इहइ स पूछा, इ काफी बड़ा होइ गवा अहइ। अपने बावत इ खुदइ बताय सकत ह।”

²¹but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”

²²ओकर महतारी बाप इ बात इ बरे कहे रहेन कि उ यहूदी नेतन स डेरात रहेन। काहेकि उ पहिले स निस्चय कइ चुका रहेन कि जउन मनई ईसू क मसीह मानी तउ ओका आराधनालय स निकार दीन्ह जाई।

²²His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.

²³इ बरे ओकर महतारी बाप कहेन, “उ काफी बड़ा होइ गवा अहइ स पूछा।”

²³Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”

²⁴यहूदी नेतन उ मनई क जउऩ आँधऱ रहा दूसरी बार बोलाएन, अउर कहेन, “सही सही बोल, अउर जउन तू नीक होइ ग अहा ओकर महिमा परमेस्सर क द्या। हमका पता अहइ कि इ मनई पापी अहइ।”

²⁴So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

²⁵इ सुनिके उ जवाब दिहेस, “मइँ इ नाहीं जानित कि उ पापी अहइ कि नाहीं, मइँ तउ इहइ जानित ह कि मइँ आँधर रहेउँ अउर अब मइँ देख सकित ह।”

²⁵He therefore answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”

²⁶इ सुनिके उ सबइ ओसे पूछेन, “उ तोहका का किहेस? उ तोहका कइसे आँखी दिहेस?”

²⁶They said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”

²⁷उ मनई ओऩ सबेन्ह क जवाब दिहेस, “मइँ तउ तोहका बताय चुका अहउँ मुला तू मोर बात सुनतइ नाहीं अहा। तू फिन स काहे उहइ बात सुना चाहत अहा? का तू ओकर चेलन बना चाहत अहा?”

²⁷He answered them, “I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”

²⁸इहइ बात प उ पचे ओकर बेइज्जती करेन अउर कहेन, “तू ओकर चेला अहा अउर हम सबेन्ह मूसा क चेलन अही।

²⁸They insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

²⁹हम सब जानित ही कि परमेस्सर मूसा स बतियात रहा, मुला हम सबेन्ह इ नाहीं जानित कि इ मनई कहाँ स आइ बाटइ?”

²⁹We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”

³⁰एकर जवाब देत उ मनई ओनसे कहेस, “बड़ी अचरज की बात अहइ कि तू सबेन्ह इ नाहीं जानत अहा कि उ कहाँ स आइ बाटइ? मुला मोका आँखिन क प्रकास उहइ दिहेस।

³⁰The man answered them, “How amazing! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

³¹हम पचे जानित ह कि परमेस्सर पापियन क नाहीं सुनत, उ तउ ओनकइ सुनत ह जउऩ समर्पित अहइँ अउर उहइ परमेस्सर क जउन इच्छा रहत ह, उहइ करत ह।

³¹We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of God, and does his will, he listens to him. Psalm 66:18, Proverbs 15:29; 28:9

³²आज तलक इ कबहूँ सुना नाहीं ग रहा कि कउनो आँधरे मनई क कहूँ आँखी क प्रकास दिहे रहा। होइ।

³²Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.

³³जब मनई परमेस्सर क तरफ स नाहीं आइ अहइ तउ उ इ सब कछू नाहीं कइ सकत।”

³³If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

³⁴ऍकरे जवाब मँ उ सबइ कहेन, “तू हमेसा स पापी रह्या, जब स तोहार जनम भवा। अउर आज तू हम सबका सिखावइ चला अहा?” इ कहिके यहूदी नेतन ओका धकियाइके बाहेर निकार दिहेन।

³⁴They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” They threw him out.

³⁵ईसू इ सुनेस कि यहूदी नेतन ओका धकियाइके बाहर निकार दिहेन तउ ओसे मिलके उ कहेस, “का तू मनई क पूत मँ बिसवास करत ह”

³⁵Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”

³⁶एकरे जवाब मँ उ मनई बोला, “हे प्रर्भू, इ बतावा कि मनई क पूत कउन अहइ? इ बरे कि मइँ ओकरे मँ बिसवास करइ लागाऊँ!”

³⁶He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”

³⁷ईसू ओहसे कहेस, “तू ओका लखि चुका अह अउर उ उहइ मनई अहइ जेहसे तू इ समइ बात करत अहा।”

³⁷Jesus said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”

³⁸फिन उ कहेस, “पर्भू, मइँ बिसवास करित हउँ!” अउर उ फिन ओकरे सामने ओनके गोड़वा पइ गिर गवा।

³⁸He said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshiped him.

³⁹ईसू कहेस, “मइँ इ दुनिया मँ निआव करइ क बरे आइ अहउँ, जइसे कि जउन देखि नाहीं सकत अहइँ, उ देखइ लागइँ अउर जउन देखत अहइँ, उ सबइ आँधर होइ जाइँ।”

³⁹Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”

⁴⁰कछू फरीसी जउन ईसू क साथे रहेन, इ सुनिके ईसू स कहेन, “हम सब जरूर आँधर नाहीं अही। का हम पचे आँधर अही?”

⁴⁰Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?”

⁴¹ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “जदि तू आँधर होत्या तउ तू पापी न होत्या मुला जइसे तू सबेन्ह कहत अहा कि देख सकत अहा, इ बरे तू सबेन्ह जरूर पापी अहा।”

⁴¹Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
