¹जइसे ही भिंसार भवा, मुख्ययाजकन, धरम सास्तिरियन, बुजुर्ग यहूदी नेतन अउर समूची यहूदी महासभा एक ठु खाका बनाएन। उ पचे ईसू क बाँधिके लइ गएन अउर ओका पिलातुस क सौंप दिहेन।

¹Immediately in the morning the chief priests, with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, held a consultation, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate.

²पिलातुस ओसे पूछेस, “का तू यहूदियन क राजा अहा?” ईसू जबाव दिहेस, “अइसा ही अहइ। तू खुदइ कहत अहा।”

²Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” He answered, “So you say.”

³फिन मुख्ययाजकन ओह पइ बहोत स दोख मढ़ेस।

³The chief priests accused him of many things.

⁴पिलातुस ओसे फिन पूछेस, “का तोहका जबाव नाहीं देइ क अहइ? देखा, उ पचे केतॅनी बातन क दोख तोह पइ लगावत अहइँ।”

⁴Pilate again asked him, “Have you no answer? See how many things they testify against you!”

⁵मुला ईसू अबहुँ कउनो जबाव नाहीं दिहस। एह पइ पिलातुस क बहोतइ अचरज भवा।

⁵But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate marveled.

⁶फसह क त्यौहार क मउके प पिलातुस कउनो एक बंदी क जेका मनइयन चाहत रहेन, ओनके छोड़ देत रहा।

⁶Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whom they asked of him.

⁷बरअब्बा नाउँ क एक बन्दी उ विद्रोह करवइयन क संग जेले मँ रहा जउन दंगा मँ कतल करेन।

⁷There was one called Barabbas, bound with those who had made insurrection, men who in the insurrection had committed murder.

⁸मनइयन आएन अउर पिलातुस स कहइ लागेन कि उ जइसा हमेसा स करत आइ ह, वइसा ही करा।

⁸The multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do as he always did for them.

⁹पिलातुस ओनसे पूछेस, “का तू पचे चाहत बाट्या कि मइँ तोहरे बरे यहूदियन क राजा क अजाद कइ देउँ?”

⁹Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”

¹⁰पिलातुस इ एह बरे कहेस कि उ जानत ह कि मुख्ययाजकन जलन क कारण ओका पकड़वाएन ह।

¹⁰For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.

¹¹मुला मुख्ययाजकन भीड़े क हुसकाएन कि उ ओकरे बजाय ओनके बरे बरअब्बा क छोड़ि देइ।

¹¹But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should release Barabbas to them instead.

¹²मुला पिलातुस ओनसे फिन पूछेस, “जेका तू यहूदियन क राजा कहत बाट्या ओकर मइँ का करउँ बतावा तू का चाहत बाट्या?”

¹²Pilate again asked them, “What then should I do to him whom you call the King of the Jews?”

¹³जबावे मँ उ पचे चिल्लानन, “ओका क्रूस प चढ़ावा!”

¹³They cried out again, “Crucify him!”

¹⁴जब पिलातुस ओसे पूछेस, “काहे, उ कउन अइसा अपराध किहेस ह” मुला उ पचे अउर जोर स चिचिआइके कहेन, “ओका क्रूस प चढ़ावा।”

¹⁴Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, “Crucify him!”

¹⁵पिलातुस भीड़ क खुस करइ चाहत रहा, एह बरे उ ओनका बरे बरअब्बा क छोड़ेस अउर ईसू क कोड़वा स पिटवाइ क क्रूस पर चढ़ावइ के सौप दिहस।

¹⁵Pilate, wishing to please the multitude, released Barabbas to them, and handed over Jesus, when he had flogged him, to be crucified.

¹⁶फिन सिपाही ओका रोम क राजपाल क निवास मँ लइ गएन। उ पचे सिपाही क पूरी पलटन बोलॉइ लिहन।

¹⁶The soldiers led him away within the court, which is the Praetorium; and they called together the whole cohort.

¹⁷फिन उ सबइ ईसू क बैगनी रंगे क ओढ़ना पहिराएन अरु काँटन क ताज बनाइ के ओकरे मुँड़वा प धरेन।

¹⁷They clothed him with purple, and weaving a crown of thorns, they put it on him.

¹⁸फिन ओका सलामी देइ लागेन, “यहूदियन क राजा क सुआगत अहइ।”

¹⁸They began to salute him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

¹⁹उ सबइ ओकरे मुँड़वा प नरकटे स मारत जात रहेन। उ पचे ओह पइ थूकत जात रहेन अउर घुटनवन प निहुरिके ओकरे अगवा दण्डवत करत रहेन।

¹⁹They struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and bowing their knees, did homage to him.

²⁰इ तरह जब उ सबइ ओकर मसखरी उड़ाइ चुकेन तउ उ सबइ बैगनी ओढ़ना उतारेन अउर ओका आपन ओढ़ना पहिराइ दिहन अउर फिन ओका क्रूस प चढ़ावइ बरे, बाहेर लइ आएन।

²⁰When they had mocked him, they took the purple off of him, and put his own garments on him. They led him out to crucify him.

²¹उ पचेन क कुरेनी क रहवइया समौन नाउँ क एक मनई, राहे मँ भेंटेस। उ गाउँ स आवत रहा। उ सिकन्दर अउर रूफुस क बाप रहा। सिपहियन ओह पइ दबाव डारेन कि ईसू क क्रूस उठाइ क चलइँ।

²¹They compelled one passing by, coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to go with them, that he might bear his cross.

²²फिन उ पचे ईसू क गुलगुता नाउँ क ठाउँ प लइ गएन (जेकर अरथ अहइ “खोपड़ी ठाउँ।”)

²²They brought him to the place called Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, “The place of a skull.”

²³फिन उ पचे ओका लोहबान नाइ के दाखरस पिअइ क दिहेन। मुला उ ओका नाहीं लिहेस।

²³They offered him wine mixed with myrrh to drink, but he didn’t take it.

²⁴फिन ओका क्रूसे पइ चढ़ाइ दीन्ह गवा। ओकर ओढ़ना उ पचे बाँटि लिहेन अउर इ देखइ क बरे कि कउनो का लेइ, उ पचे पासा फेंकेन।

²⁴Crucifying him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots on them, what each should take.

²⁵दिना क नउ बजेन, जब उ पचे ओका क्रूस प चढ़ाएन।

²⁵It was the third hour, 9:00 A. M. and they crucified him.

²⁶ओकरे खिलाफ एक लिखा भवा मुकद्मा क पत्तर ओह पइ लगावा रहा, “यहूदियन क राजा।”

²⁶The superscription of his accusation was written over him, “THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

²⁷ओकरे संग दुइ ठु डाकू भी क्रूस प चढ़ाइ गएन। एक ठु ओकरे दाई अउर दूसर वाईं कइँती।

²⁷With him they crucified two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.

²⁸[This verse may not be a part of this translation]

²⁸The Scripture was fulfilled, which says, “He was numbered with transgressors.” NU omits verse 28.

²⁹ओकरे लगे स निकरि के जात मनइयन ओका निन्दा करत रहेन। आपन मूँड़ी झमकाइ झमकाइ के उ पचे कहत रहेन, “अरे वाह। तू उहइ अहइ जउन मंदिर क ढहाइ के तीन दिना मँ फिन बनावइवाला रहा।

²⁹Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying, “Ha! You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

³⁰अब क्रूस स तरखाले आइके अउर खुदइ आपन क तउ बचाव।”

³⁰save yourself, and come down from the cross!”

³¹इ तरह मुख्ययाजकन अउर धरम सास्तिरियन भी ईसू क मसखरी उड़ाएन। उ पचे आपुस मँ कहइ लागेन, “इ अउरन क बचावत अहइ, मुला खुद आपन क नाहीं बचाइ सकत।

³¹Likewise, also the chief priests mocking among themselves with the scribes said, “He saved others. He can’t save himself.

³²अब इ मसीह अउर इस्राएल क राजा क क्रूस प स तरखाले उतरइ दे जेसे हम पचे इ देखि के ओहमाँ बिसवास करि सकी।” अउर उ दुइनउँ भी, जउन ओकरे साथ क्रसे प चढ़ाइ गवा रहेन, ओकर बेज्जती करेन।

³²Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe him. TR omits “him” ” Those who were crucified with him insulted him.

³³फिन समूची धरती पइ दुपहरे तक अँधियार छावा रहा। इ अँधियारा दोपहर तीन बजे तक रहा।

³³When the sixth hour or, noon had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. 3:00 PM

³⁴दिना क तीन बजे ईसू ऊँची आवाज मँ चिल्लाइके कहेस, “ इलोई, इलोई, लमा सबकतनी!” अरथ अहइ “मोरे परमेस्सर, मोरे परमेस्सर, तू मोका काहे बिसारि दिहा?”

³⁴At the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is, being interpreted, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Psalm 22:1

³⁵जउन नगिचे ठाड़ रहेन, ओनमाँ स कछू जब इ सुनेन तउ उ पचे बोलेन, “सुना इ एलिय्याह क पुकारत अहइ।”

³⁵Some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, “Behold, he is calling Elijah.”

³⁶तब एक मनई दौड़ि के सिरका मँ बोरि के एक ठु मोटा कपरा क भीजि के डंडा प धइ के ईसू क पिअइ बरे दिहस अउ कहेस, “ठहरि जा, हम पचे निहारत अही कि ऍका नीचे उतारइ क बरे एलिय्याह आवत ह कि नाहीं।”

³⁶One ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah comes to take him down.”

³⁷फिन ईसू ऊँची आवाज मँ चिल्लाइके प्राण तजि दिहस।

³⁷Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and gave up the spirit.

³⁸तबहिं मंदिर क पट ऊपरि स तरखाले तक फाटिके दुइ टुकरन मँ बँटि गवा।

³⁸The veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom.

³⁹सेना क एक ठु अधिकारी जउन ईसू क समन्वा ठाड़ रहा, ओका प्रान तजत देखेस। उ कहेस, ‘इ मनई असल मँ परमेस्सर क पूत रहा।”

³⁹When the centurion, who stood by opposite him, saw that he cried out like this and breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

⁴⁰कछू स्त्रियन हुवाँ दूर ते ठाड़े भइ निहारत रहीं, जेहमाँ मरियम मगदलीनी, छोटका याकूब अउर योसेस क महतारी मरियम अउर सलोमि रही।

⁴⁰There were also women watching from afar, among whom were both Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

⁴¹जब ईसू गलील मँ रहा तउ इ स्त्रियन ओकर चेलन रहीं अुर ओकर सेवा करत रही। हुवाँ अउर भी बहोत स स्त्रियन रहीं जउन ओकरे साथ यरूसलेम तक आइ रहीं।

⁴¹who, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and served him; and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.

⁴²सांझ होइ गइ अउर सबित क पहिले क, उ तैयारी क दिन रहा।

⁴²When evening had now come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,

⁴³एह बरे अरिमतिया क यूसुफ आइ। उ यहूदी महासभा क सम्मानित सदस्य रहा अउर परमेस्सर क राज्य आवइ क बाट जोहत रहा। हिम्मत क साथ उ पिलातुस क नगिचे गवा अउर ओसे ईसू क सरीर माँगेस।

⁴³Joseph of Arimathaea, a prominent council member who also himself was looking for the Kingdom of God, came. He boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body.

⁴⁴पिलातुस क भारी अचरज भवा कि उ ऍतनी हाली कइसे मरि गवा। उ सेना क अधिकारी क बोलाएस अउर ओसे पूछेस, का ओका मरे भए ढेर देर होइ ग अहइ?

⁴⁴Pilate marveled if he were already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he had been dead long.

⁴⁵फिन जब उ सेना क अधिकारी स बयान सुनि लिहस तउ यूसुफ क सरीर दइ दिहस।

⁴⁵When he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

⁴⁶फिन यूसुफ सने मलमल क थोड़ स कपरा बेसहेस, ईसू क क्रूस स तरखाले उतारेस, ओकरे सरीरे क कपरा मँ लपेटेस अउर ओका कब्र मँ रख दिहेस जेका चट्टाने क काटि क बनावा गवा रहा। अउर फिन कब्रे क मुँहे प एक बड़वार पाथर ढकेलिके टिकइ दिहेस।

⁴⁶He bought a linen cloth, and taking him down, wound him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock. He rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.

⁴⁷मरियम मगदलीनी अउर योसेस क महतारी निहारत रहीं कि ईसू क कहाँ रखा ग अहइ।

⁴⁷Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Joses, saw where he was laid.
