¹अउर ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “मइँ सबन क सच सच बताउब, जउन हियाँ खड़ा अहइँ, ओहमाँ स कछू परमेस्सर क राज्य सक्ति क संग आवइ स पहिले देखिहीं अउर मरइ क अंजाद न करिहीं।”

¹He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see the Kingdom of God come with power.”

²छः दिना पाछे ईसू सिरिफ पतरस, याकूब अउर यूहन्ना सबक संग लइके एक ऊँच पर्वत प खुद गवा। हुवाँ उ ओनके समन्वा आपन भेस बदल लिहस।

²After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.

³ओकर ओढ़ना चमचमाइ लागेन एकदम्मइ उजिअर। धरती प कउनो धोबी ओतना उजिअर ओसे जिआदा नाहीं धोइ सकत रहा।

³His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.

⁴एलिय्याह अउर मूसा भी ओनके संग परगट भएन। अउर उ सबइ ईसू स बतियात रहेन।

⁴Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.

⁵तब पतरस बोल उठा अउर ईसू स कहेस, “गुरु, इ भल भवा कि हम हियाँ अही। हमका तीन तम्बू लगावइ द्या, एक तोहरे बरे, एक मूसा बरे अउर एक ठु एलिय्याह बरे।”

⁵Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

⁶पतरस इ एह बरे कहेस जइसे उ जानत नाहीं रहा कि उ का बोली। इ तरह उ पचे डेराइ गएन।

⁶For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.

⁷एक बादर आवा अउर ओनका आपन छाया स ढाँकि लिहस। बदरा स एक आवाज कहत भइ होइ गइ, “इ मोर पियारा पूत अहइ। ओका सुना!”

⁷A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”

⁸अउर फउरन उ पचे चारिहुँ कइँती निहारेन। सिरिफ ईसू क छाँड़िके उ पचे कउनो क देखेन नाहीं।

⁸Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only.

⁹As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

¹⁰अउर उ सबइ इ बतिया क आपन जिअरा मँ छिपाइ रहेन मुला उ सबइ आपुस मँ सोचत बिचारत रहेन कि “मरिके जी उठब” क अरथ का बाटइ।

¹⁰They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the “rising from the dead” meant.

¹¹फिन उ पचे ईसू स पूछेन, “धरम सास्तिरियन काहे कहत हीं कि एलिय्याह सबस पहिले आई?”

¹¹They asked him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

¹²ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “हाँ! सब बातन क ठीक करइ बरे एलिय्याह सबन्स पहिले आवत ह। मुला इ काहे मनई क पूत क बारे मँ पवित्तर सास्तर अहइ कि उ बहोत स दुःख भुगुती अउर उ घिना स दुत्कार जाई।

¹²He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?

¹³मुला मइँ तू सबन क बतावत अही, एलिय्याह आइ चुका अहइ। जउन जउन उ पचे चाहेन, ओकरे साथ उ पचे वइसे किहन; जइसा ओकरे बारे मँ पवित्तर सास्तरन मँ बाटइ।”

¹³ But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him.”

¹⁴अउर जबहिं उ सबइ दूसर चेलन क लगे आएन तउ उ पचे एक भारी भीर क जमघट ओनके चारिहुँ कइँती देखेन कि धरम सास्तियिन ओनसे तहत्तुक करत रहेन।

¹⁴Coming to the disciples, he saw a great multitude around them, and scribes questioning them.

¹⁵जइसे ही सब मनइयन ओका निहारेन, उ पचे विस्मय मँ पड़ि गएन अउर ओका भेंटइ बरे ओकरे कइँती उ सबइ भागेन।

¹⁵Immediately all the multitude, when they saw him, were greatly amazed, and running to him greeted him.

¹⁶उ ओनसे पूछेस, “तू सबइ ओनसे काहे क बारे मँ विवाद करत ह”

¹⁶He asked the scribes, “What are you asking them?”

¹⁷एह पइ एक मनई भिरिया स जबाव दिहस, “गुरु, मइँ आपन बेटवा तोहरे लगे लिआइ अही। ओह पइ एक ठु दुस्ट आतिमा सवारि अहइ, जउन ओका बोलावइ देत नाहीं।

¹⁷One of the multitude answered, “Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;

¹⁸जब कबहुँ दुस्ट आतिमा ऍका पकरि लेत ह, उ ऍका फेंकि देत ह अउर ऍकरे मुॅहना स झागि निकारइ लगत ह। ओकरे बाद उ दँतवन क पीसत ह अउर उ अकड़ि जात ह। मइँ तोहरे चेलन स कह्यों कि ओका भगावा, मुला उ सबइ करि सकेन नाहीं।”

¹⁸and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and wastes away. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they weren’t able.”

¹⁹तबहिं ईसू जबावे मँ ओनसे कहेस, “अरे! बिसवास न करइवाले मनइयो! कब तलक मइँ तोहरे लगे रइहउँ? कब ताई तोहरे लगे सहब? लरिकवा क मोरे लगे लिआवा।”

¹⁹He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.”

²⁰फिन उ सबइ लरिकवा क ओकरे लगे लेवाइ लिआएन। जबहिं दुस्ट आतिमा ईसू क देखेस। फउरन उ लोरिकवा क अइँठ दिहस। लरिकवा भुइँया प गिरि गवा अउर मुँहे स झाग निकारत चारिहुँ ओर लोटइ पोटइ लाग।

²⁰They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.

²¹तब्बइ ईसू लरिका क बाप स पूछेस, “इ अइसा कब स लरिकवा क होत अहइ?” तब बाप कहेस, “अइसा बचपन स होत आवत अहइ।

²¹He asked his father, “How long has it been since this has come to him?” He said, “From childhood.

²²दुस्ट आतिमा ऍका कइउ दाई आगी मँ अउर कबहुँ पानी मँ मारइ खातिर नाइ देत ही। लेकिन का तू कछू कइ सकत ह हम पइ दया करा अउर हमार मदद करा।”

²²Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.”

²³ईसू ओसे कहेस, “तू कह्या जदि तू कछू कइ सका? जउन बिसवास करी, ओका बरे सब कछू होइ जाई।”

²³Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

²⁴तुरंतहीं लरिका क बाप चिचिआन अउर कहेस, “मइँ जरूर बिसवास करत हउँ। तू हमार अबिसवास हटावा।”

²⁴Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “I believe. Help my unbelief!”

²⁵जब ईसू देखेस कि भारी भीर ओकरे लगे निचकात अहइ, उ दुस्ट आतिमा क ललकारेस अउर ऍका कहेस, “ओ दुस्ट आतिमा! तू इ बचवा क गूँगा बहिरा करइवाली मइँ तोका हुकुम देत अही। ओसे बाहेर आव, ओहमाँ फिन स घुस जिन।”

²⁵When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!”

²⁶तब उ दुस्ट आतिमा चिचिआन अउर लरिकवा क झपटिके अँइठेसि अउर ओसे बाहेर गइ। अइसन लगा कि लरिकवा मर गवा अहइ। बहुत स लोग कहेन, “उ मर गवा!”

²⁶Having cried out, and convulsed greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead; so much that most of them said, “He is dead.”

²⁷फिन ईसू ओकर हाथ पकरि क उठाएस अउर ओका गोड़वन प खड़ा करेस अउ लरिका खड़ा होइ ग।

²⁷But Jesus took him by the hand, and raised him up; and he arose.

²⁸ओकरे पाछे उ घर मँ गवा अउर ओकर चेलन अकेल्ॅले मँ पूछेन, “काहे क हम दुस्ट आतिमा क भगाइ नाहीं सकेन?”

²⁸When he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”

²⁹ऍह पइ ईसू जबाव दिहेस, “इ तरह दुस्ट आतिमा बगैर पराथना क बाहेर नाहीं आवत।”

²⁹He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting.”

³⁰उ सबइ हुवाँ छोड़ि चलेन अउर गलील होइ क जात रहेन अउ ईसू नाहीं चाहत रहा कि कउनो एका जानइ कि उ सब कहाँ बाटन?

³⁰They went out from there, and passed through Galilee. He didn’t want anyone to know it.

³¹एह बरे उ आपन चेलन क सिच्छा देत रहा। उ ओनसे कहेस, “मनई क पूत मनइयन क हाथन स पकड़वाइ जाई अउर उ सबइ ओका मारि डइहीं। मारि डाए क तीन दिना क पाछे उ जिन्दा होइ जाइ।”

³¹For he was teaching his disciples, and said to them, “The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again.”

³²मुला चेलन इ न समझेन कि ईसू का मतलब अहइ अउर उ ओसे ऍकरे बारे मँ पूछइ क डेरात रहेन।

³²But they didn’t understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.

³³ईसू चेलन क साथ कफरनहूम आएन। उ सबइ एक घरे मँ गएन। उ ओनसे पूछेस, “राहे मँ तू सबइ का बतियात रह्या?”

³³He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?”

³⁴मुला उ सबइ खमोस होइ गएन। एह बरे उ सबइ राहे मँ एक दुसरे स सोचेन बिचारेन कि कउन सबस बड़कवा अहइ।

³⁴But they were silent, for they had disputed one with another on the way about who was the greatest.

³⁵तउ उ बैठि गवा। उ बारहु प्रेरितन आपन नगिचे बोलाएस अउर ओनसे कहेस, “जदि कउनो सब स बड़का होइ चाहत ह, तउ ओका सब स छोट होइ क परी अउर उ सबन क नउकर होइ।”

³⁵He sat down, and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”

³⁶अउर एक बचवा क लइके सब क समन्वा खड़ा किहेस। ओका आपन कोरा मँ लेत भवा ईसू ओनसे कहेस,

³⁶He took a little child, and set him in their midst. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,

³⁷“जउन एकउ इन बचवन मँ एकउ क मोरे नाउँ स आपनावत ह, उ हमार सुआगत करत अहइ, उ न सिरिफ मोका अपनावत ह, मुला उहउ क अपनावत ह, जउन मोका पठएस ह।”

³⁷ “Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, doesn’t receive me, but him who sent me.”

³⁸यूहन्ना ईसू स कहेस, “गुरु हम तोहरे नाउँ स कउनो क दुस्ट आतिमन क बाहेर निकारत देखेन ह। हम ओका रोकब चाहा, मुला उ हम पचन मँ नाहीं रहा।”

³⁸John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”

³⁹फिन ईसू कहेस, “ओका रोका जिन। इ नाते जउनहुँ मोरे नाउँ स अद्भुत कारजन चाहत बाटइ, उ फउनर मोरे बरे भद्दी बात न कहि पाई।

³⁹But Jesus said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.

⁴⁰जउन मोरे खिलाफ नाहीं, उ हमरे कइँती अहइ।

⁴⁰ For whoever is not against us is on our side.

⁴¹जउनहुँ तोहका एक लोटा पानी भरि के देइ कि तू मसीह क बाट्या, मइँ तोहका सच सच बतावत हउँ, उ जरूर सुफल होइ जाए बिना न रही।

⁴¹ For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Christ’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.

⁴²“जउन इन नान्ह बचवन मँ स कउनो क जउन मोरे मँ बिसवास करत हीं, ओनसे पाप करावत हीं, तउ ओकरे बरे इ नीक होइ कि ओकरे गटइया मँ चकिया क पाट बाँधिके ओका समुद्दर मँ झोंकि देई।

⁴² Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.

⁴³जदि तोहार हाथ तोसे पाप करवावत ह, तू ऍका काट द्या। हथ कटा होइ क अनन्त जीवन मँ प्रवेस करना नीक अहइ। बजाऍ ऍहके कि दुइ हाथ धरइ अउर नरक मँ नाइ दीन्ह जाइ, जहाँ अगिया कबहुँ न बुझत।

⁴³ If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, or, Hell into the unquenchable fire,

⁴⁴ ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’

⁴⁵जदि तोहार गोड़ तोसे पाप करावत ह, ओका काट द्या। लँगड़ा होइ क अनन्त जीवन मँ प्रवेस करना जिआदा नीक होइ, बजाय ऍकरे कि दुइनइँ गोड़वा धइ क नरके मँ नाइ दीन्ह जाइ।

⁴⁵ If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, or, Hell into the fire that will never be quenched—

⁴⁶ ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’

⁴⁷जदि तोहार आँख तोसे पाप करावत ह, ओका निकारि डावा। काना होइके परमेस्सर क राज्य मँ घुसब जिआदा नीक अहइ, बजाय कि दुइ आँखिन वाला होइके नरक मँ नाइ दीन्ह जाइ।

⁴⁷ If your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna or, Hell of fire,

⁴⁸जहाँ कि किरवा मरतेन नाहीं। हुवाँ आगी कबहुँ बुझत नाहीं।

⁴⁸ ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’ Isaiah 66:24

⁴⁹हर मनई क आगी प नोनखार कीन्ह जाई।

⁴⁹ For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.

⁵⁰“नोन नीक होत ह जदि नोन आपन सोवाद तजि देइ, तउ ऍका नोनखार फिन कइसे बनउब्या? आपन मँ नोन राखा। एक दूसर क संग सांति स रहा।”

⁵⁰ Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
