¹दूसर दिन बड़े भिन्सारे सबइ ही मुख्य याजकन अउर बुजुर्ग यहूदी नेतन ईसू क मरवाइ डावइ क एक चाल चलेन।

¹Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

²फिन उ पचे ओका बाँधि के लइ गएन अउर राज्यपाल पिलातुस क सौपं दिहन।

²and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor.

³ईसू क धरवावइ वाला यहूदा जब देखेस कि ईसू क दोखी ठहराइ दीन्ह ग अहइ, तउ उ बहोत पछतावा। अउर उ याजकन तथा यहूदी नेतन क चाँदी क तीस रूपया लउटाइ दिहस।

³Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that Jesus was condemned, felt remorse, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

⁴उ कहेस, “मइँ एक वे अपराधी क मार डावइ बरे धरावइ क पाप कीन्ह ह।” ऍह प मनई कहेन, “हम पचेन क का! इ तोहार आपन मामिला अहइ।”

⁴saying, “I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? You see to it.”

⁵ऍह प यहूदा चाँदी क ओन रूपयन क मन्दिर क भितरे लोकाएके चला गवा अउर फिन बाहेर जाइके आपन क फाँसी लगाएस।

⁵He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary, and departed. He went away and hanged himself.

⁶मुख्ययाजकन उ सब चाँदी क सिक्कन क उठाइ लिहन अउर कहेन, “हमरे व्यवस्था क मुताविक इ धन क मन्दिर क खजाना मँ धरब नीक नाहीं काहेकि ऍकर प्रयोग कउनो क मार डावइ बरे कीन्ह ग रहा।”

⁶The chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, “It’s not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.”

⁷एह बरे उ पचे उ रूपयन क यरूसलेम मँ बाहेर स आवइ वाले मनइयन क मरि जाए प गाड़इ बरे कोहारे क खेत खरीदै क फैसला किहन।

⁷They took counsel, and bought the potter’s field with them, to bury strangers in.

⁸एह बरे आजु ताईं इ खेत ‘लहू क खेत’ क नाउँ स जाना जात ह।

⁸Therefore that field was called “The Field of Blood” to this day.

⁹इ तरह परमेस्सर क नबी यिर्मयाह क कहा भवा बचन पूर होइ ग: “उ पचे चाँदी क तीस सिक्कान बरे, उ रकम जेका इस्राएल क मनइयन ओकरे बरे देब तइ किहे रहेन।

⁹Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah some manuscripts omit “Jeremiah” the prophet was fulfilled, saying, “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him upon whom a price had been set, whom some of the children of Israel priced,

¹⁰अउ पर्भू क जारिये मोका दीन्ह गवा हुकुम क मुताबिक ओसे कोंहारे क खेत खरीदेन।”

¹⁰and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.” Zechariah 11:12-13; Jeremiah 19:1-13; 32:6-9

¹¹ऍकरे बीच मँ ईसू राज्यपाल क समन्वा पेस भवा। राज्यपाल ओसे पूछेस, “का तू यहूदियन क राजा अहा?” ईसू कहेस, “हाँ, मइँ हउँ।”

¹¹Now Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said to him, “So you say.”

¹²दुसरी कइँती जब प्रमुखयाजकन अउर बुजुर्ग यहूदी नेतन ओह प दोख लगाव रहेन तउ उ कउनो जवाब नाहीं दिहस।

¹²When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

¹³तब पिलातुस ओसे पूछेस, “का तू नाहीं सुनत अहा कि उ सबइ तोह प केतॅता दोख लगावत अहइँ?”

¹³Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many things they testify against you?”

¹⁴मुला ईसू पिलातुस क कउनो भी दोख क जवाब नाहीं दिहस। पिलातुस क ऍह प बहोत अचरज भवा।

¹⁴He gave him no answer, not even one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.

¹⁵फसह क त्यौहार क अउसर प राज्यपाल क रीति रही कि उ कउनो भी एक कै़दी क, जेका भीड़ चाहत रही, ओनके बरे छोड़ दीन्ह जात रहा।

¹⁵Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner, whom they desired.

¹⁶उहइ समइया बरअब्बा नाउँ क एक बदनाम कैदी हुवाँ रहा।

¹⁶They had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

¹⁷तउ जब भीड़ आइके एकट्ठी होइ गइ तउ पिलातुस ओसे पूछेस, “तू का चाहत बाट्या, मइँ तोहरे बरे केका छोड़ि देउँ, बरअब्बा क या उ ईसू क, जउन मसीह कहा जात ह”

¹⁷When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus, who is called Christ?”

¹⁸पिलातुस जानत रहा कि उ पचे ओका मने मँ डाह क कारण धरवाइ दिहेन ह।

¹⁸For he knew that because of envy they had delivered him up.

¹⁹पिलातुस जब निआव क सासन प बइठा रहा तउ ओकर पत्नी ओकरे लगे एक संदेसा पठएस: “उ सीधा साँच मनई क संग कछू जिन कइ बइठ्या। मइँ ओकरे बारे मँ एक ठु सपन देखिउँ ह जेसे मइँ आज सारा दिन भइ बेचइन रही।”

¹⁹While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.”

²⁰मुला प्रमुख याजकन अउर बुजुर्ग यहूदी नेतन भीड़े क बगदाएन, फुसलाएन कि उ पिलातुस स बरअब्बा क छोरि देइ क अउर ईसू क मरवाइ डावइ बरे कहेन।

²⁰Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes to ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

²¹जवाबे मँ राज्यपाल ओसे पूछेस, “दुइनउँ कैदियन मँ स कउनो एक बरे केका मोसे छुरवावइ बरे तू पचे चाहत बाट्या?” उ पचे जवाब दिहन, “बरअब्बा क।”

²¹But the governor answered them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas!”

²²जब पिलातुस ओसे पूछेस, “तउ मइँ, जउन मसीह कहा जात बा उ ईसू क का करउँ?” उ सबइ कहेन, “ओका क्रूस प चढ़ावा!”

²²Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do to Jesus, who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let him be crucified!”

²³पिलातुस पूछेस, “काहे, उ कउन अपराध किहेस ह” मुला उ सबइ तउ अउर जिआदा चिचियानेन, “ओका क्रूस प चढ़ाइ द्या।”

²³But the governor said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, saying, “Let him be crucified!”

²⁴पिलातुस देखेस कि अब कउनो फायदा नाहीं। मुला दंगा भड़कइ क बा। तउ उ तनिक पानी लिहस अउर भीड़े क समन्वा आपन हाथ धोएस, उ बोला, “इ मनई क लहू स हमार कउनो जिम्मेदारी नहीं। यह तोहार मामिला बा!”

²⁴So when Pilate saw that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person. You see to it.”

²⁵जवाबे मँ सब लोगन कहेन, “ऍव्करे मउत क जबावदेही हम अउ हमार लरिकन मान लेत हँ।”

²⁵All the people answered, “May his blood be on us, and on our children!”

²⁶तब पिलातुस ओनके बरे बरअब्बा क छोरि दिहस अउर ईसू क कोड़वा स पिटवाइ क क्रूस प चढ़ावइ बरे सौंपि दिहस।

²⁶Then he released to them Barabbas, but Jesus he flogged and delivered to be crucified.

²⁷फिन राज्यपाल क सिपारी ईसू क राज्यपाल निवास क भितरे लइ गएन। हुवाँ ओकरे चारिहुँ कइँती सिपाहियन क फउज ऍकट्ठी होइ गइ।

²⁷Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him.

²⁸उ पचे ओकर ओढ़ना उतार दिहन अउ चटकीले लाल रंग क ओढ़ना पहिराइ क

²⁸They stripped him, and put a scarlet robe on him.

²⁹काँटे स बनवा एक ताज ओकरे सिरे प ढाँपि दिहस। ओकरे दाहिन हाथ मँ ए ठु नरकट थमाइ दिहन अउर ओकर समन्वा आपने घुटनन पइ निहुरिके क ओकरे हँसी करत बोलेन, “यहूदियन क राजा अमर रहइ!”

²⁹They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him, and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

³⁰फिन उ पचे ओकरे मुँहना पर थूकेन, डंडी छोरेन अउर ओकरे मुँड़वा प सुटकइ लागेन।

³⁰They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.

³¹जब उ पचे ओकर हँसी उड़ाइ चुकेन तउ ओकर पोसाक उतारेन अउर ओका ओकर आपन ओढ़ना पहिराइ क क्रूसे प चढ़ावइ बरे लइ चलेन।

³¹When they had mocked him, they took the robe off of him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.

³²जब उ पचे बाहेर ही रहेन तउ ओनका कुरैन क निवासी समौन नाउँ क एक मनई मिलि गवा। उ पचे ओह प जोर डाएन कि उ ईसू क क्रूस उठाइके चलइ।

³²As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his cross.

³³फिन जब उ पचे गुलगुता नाउँ क जगह (जेकर अरथ अहइ “खोपड़ा क ठउर।”) पहुँचेन।

³³They came to a place called “Golgotha,” that is to say, “The place of a skull.”

³⁴तउ उ पचे ईसू क अंगूर क रस मँ पित्त नाइ क पिअइ बरे दिहन। मुला जब ईसू ओका चखेस तउ पिअइ स मना किहस।

³⁴They gave him sour wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink.

³⁵तउ उ सबइ ओका क्रूसे प चढ़ाइ दिहन अउर ओकरे ओढ़ना क आपुस मँ बाँटइ बरे पाँसा खेलिके आपन हींसा लिहन।

³⁵When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots, TR adds “that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: ‘They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots;’” [see Psalm 22:18 and John 19:24]

³⁶ऍकरे पाछे हुवाँ बइठिके ओह प पहरा देइ लागेन।

³⁶and they sat and watched him there.

³⁷उ पचे ओकर जुर्म पत्थर लिखिके ओकरे मूॅड़े पर लटकाइ दिहेन, “इ यहूदियन क राजा ईसू अहइ।”

³⁷They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

³⁸इहइ समइ ओकरे संग दुइ डाकु भी क्रुसे प चढ़ाइ जात रहेन एक ठु ओकरे दाहिन अउर दूसर ओकरे बाईं कइँती।

³⁸Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.

³⁹नगिचे स होइ क जात मनइयन आपन मूँड़ी झमकावत ओका बेज्जत करत रहेन।

³⁹Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads,

⁴⁰उ पचे कहत रहेन, “अरे मन्दिर क गिराइके तीन दिना ओका फिन स बनवइया, आपन क तउ बचावा। जदि तू परमेस्सर क पूत अहा तउ क्रूसे स तरखाले उतरि आवा।”

⁴⁰and saying, “You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”

⁴¹अइसे ही मुख्ययाजकन, धरम सास्तिरियन अउर बुजुर्ग यहूदी नेतन क संग ओकर इ कहिके हँसउआ करत रहेन:

⁴¹Likewise the chief priests also mocking, with the scribes, the Pharisees, TR omits “the Pharisees” and the elders, said,

⁴²“दूसर क उद्धार करइया इ आपन उद्धार नाहीं कइ सकत। इ इस्राएल क राजा अहइ। इ क्रूसे स अबहिं तरखाले उतरइ तउ हम पचे ऍका मान लेइ।

⁴²“He saved others, but he can’t save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.

⁴³इ परमेस्सर मँ बिसवास करत ह। तउ जदि परमेस्सर चाहइ अब ऍका बचाइ लेइ। आखिर इ तउ कहत भी रहा ‘मइँ परमेस्सर क पूत हउँ।”‘

⁴³He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

⁴⁴उ सबइ लुटेरन भी जउन ओकरे संग क्रूसे प चढ़ाइ गएन रहा, ओकर अइसा ही हँसउआ भवा।

⁴⁴The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.

⁴⁵फिन समूची धरती प दुपहर स तीन बजे तलक अँधियारा छावा रहा।

⁴⁵Now from the sixth hour noon there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 3:00 P. M.

⁴⁶कउनो तीन बजे क लगभग ईसू ऊँच अवाजे मँ चिल्लान, “एली, एली, लमा सबक्तानी” अरथ, “मोरे परमेस्सर, हे मोरे परमेस्सर, तू मोका काहे बिसार दिहा ह”

⁴⁶About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lima TR reads “lama” instead of “lima” sabachthani?” That is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Psalm 22:1

⁴⁷हुवाँ खड़ा भवा मनइयन मँ स कछू इ सुनिके कहइ लागेन, “यह एलिय्याह क पुकारत अहइ।”

⁴⁷Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, “This man is calling Elijah.”

⁴⁸फिन फउरन ओनमाँ स एक मनई धावत सिरका मँ बोरा भवा स्पंज एक डंडी पइ लटकाइ क लइ आवा अउर ओका ईसू क चूसइ बरे दिहस।

⁴⁸Immediately one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him a drink.

⁴⁹मुला दूसर लोग कहत रहेन, “छोड़ द्या, देखित ह कि एलिय्याह ऍका बचावइ आवत ह कि नाहीं।”

⁴⁹The rest said, “Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah comes to save him.”

⁵⁰ईसू फिन एक दाईं ऊँच सुरे मँ चिल्लाइ क प्राण तजि दिहस।

⁵⁰Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.

⁵¹उहइ समइया मन्दिरे क परदा ऊपर स तरखाले तलक फाटिके दुइ टुकड़न मँ बाँटे गवा। धरती डोल उठी। चट्टानन फाट पड़िन।

⁵¹Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.

⁵²हियाँ तलक कब्रन खुलि गइन अउर परमेस्सर क मरा भएन भक्तन क बहोतन सरीर जी उठेन।

⁵²The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;

⁵³उ पचे कब्रन स निकरि आएन अउर ईसू क जी जाइ क पाछे पवित्तर नतर मँ जाइके बहोतन क देखाइॅ दिहेन।

⁵³and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.

⁵⁴रोम क फऊजी नायक अउर ईसू क पहरुअन भूँइडोल अउर वइसी ही दूसर घटनन क लखिके डेराअ गएन। उ पचे बोलेन, “ईसू असिल मँ परमेस्सर क पूत रहा!”

⁵⁴Now the centurion, and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God.”

⁵⁵हुवाँ ढेरि के स्त्रियन खड़ी रहिन जउन दूरे स लखत रहिन। उ पचे ईसू क देखभाल बरे गलील स ओकरे पाछे पाछे आवत रहिन।

⁵⁵Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him.

⁵⁶ओनमाँ स मरियम मगदलीनी, याकूब अउर योसेस क महतारी मरियम तथा जब्दी क बेटवन की महतारी रही।

⁵⁶Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

⁵⁷सांझ क समइ अरिमतियाह सहर स यूसुफ नाउँ क एक धनवान आवा उ खुद ही ईसू क चेला होइ गवा। यूसुफ पिलातुस क लगे गवा अउर ईसू क ल्हास माँगेस।

⁵⁷When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathaea, named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus’ disciple came.

⁵⁸तबहिं पिलातुस हुकुम दिहस कि सब ओका दइ दीन्ह जाइ।

⁵⁸This man went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up.

⁵⁹यूसुफ ल्हास दिहस अउर ओका एक नई चदरे मँ लपेटिके

⁵⁹Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

⁶⁰आपन खुद क नई कब्र मँ धइ दिहस। जेका उ चट्टाने मँ काटि के बनवाए रहा। फिन उ चट्टाने क दरवाजे प एक बड़का सा पाथर लुढ़काएस अउर चला गवा।

⁶⁰and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed.

⁶¹मरियम मगदलीनी अउर दूसर स्त्री मरियम हुवाँ कब्रे क समन्वा बइठी रहिन।

⁶¹Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.

⁶²अगले दिन जब सुक्रवार बीत गवा तउ प्रमुख याजकन अउर फरीसियन पिलातुस स मिलइ गएन।

⁶²Now on the next day, which was the day after the Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees were gathered together to Pilate,

⁶³उ पचे कहेन, “महासय हमका याद बा कि इ छलिया, जब उ जिअत रहा, कहे रहा, ‘तिसेर दिन मइँ फिन जी उठब।’

⁶³saying, “Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: ‘After three days I will rise again.’

⁶⁴तउ हुकुम द्या कि तिसरे दिन तलक कब्रे प चौकसी कीन्ह जाइ। जेसे अइसा न होइ कि ओकर चेलन आइके ओकर ल्हास चोरॉइ लइ जाइँ अउर मनइयन स कहइँ, उ मरे भवा मँ स जी गवा। इ दूसर छल पहिले छल से जिआदा बुरा होई।”

⁶⁴Command therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come at night and steal him away, and tell the people, ‘He is risen from the dead;’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”

⁶⁵पिलातुस ओसे कहेस, “तू पहरा बरे सिपाही लइ जाइ सकत ह। जा जइसी चौकसी कइ सकत ह, करा।”

⁶⁵Pilate said to them, “You have a guard. Go, make it as secure as you can.”

⁶⁶तब उ पचे चला गएन अउर उ पाथर प मोहर लगाइके अउर पहरुअन क हुवाँ बइठाइ के कब्र क हिफाजत करइ लागेन।

⁶⁶So they went with the guard and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone.
