¹Makapangahas ba ang uban kaninyo nga sa may diyutay nga buroka batok sa iyang isigkatawo, sa pagpakigburoka sa atubangan sa mga dilimatarung, ug dili hinoon sa atubangan sa mga balaan?

¹Dare any one of you, having a matter with the other, go to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

²Kun wala ba kamo manghibalo nga ang mga balaan mao ang magahukom sa kalibutan? Ug kong ang kalibutan pagahukman ninyo, dili ba kamo mga takus sa paghukom sa mga butang nga labing gagmay?

²have ye not known that the saints shall judge the world? and if by you the world is judged, are ye unworthy of the smaller judgments?

³Wala ba kamo manghibalo nga magahukom kita sa mga manolonda? Dili ba labi pa gayud nga magahukom kita sa mga butang niining kinabuhi?

³have ye not known that we shall judge messengers? why not then the things of life?

⁴Busa, kong kinahanglan maghukom kamo sa mga butang mahitungod niining kinabuhi, ibutang ba ninyo aron maghukom ang mga dili tinagad sa iglesia?

⁴of the things of life, indeed, then, if ye may have judgment, those despised in the assembly — these cause ye to sit;

⁵Ginaingon ko kini sa pagpakaulaw kaninyo. Unsa, wala bay usa ka maalam diha kaninyo nga arang makahusay sa mga managsoon;

⁵unto your shame I speak: so there is not among you one wise man, not even one, who shall be able to discern in the midst of his brethren!

⁶Kondili nga ang igsoon makigburoka sa iyang igsoon, ug kana sa atubangan sa mga dilimatinohoon?

⁶but brother with brother doth go to be judged, and this before unbelievers!

⁷Busa aduna na gayud ing usa ka kasaypanan kaninyo, nga may mga buroka kamo ang usa ug usa kaninyo. Ngano bang dili hinoon ninyo pagaantuson ang pagdaut kaninyo? Ngano bang dili hinoon ninyo pagaantuson ang paglimbong kaninyo?

⁷Already, indeed, then, there is altogether a fault among you, that ye have judgments with one another; wherefore do ye not rather suffer injustice? wherefore be ye not rather defrauded?

⁸Apan kamo sa inyong kaugalingon nagabuhat sa dautan, ug nagalimbong kamo, ug kana sa inyong mga igsoon.

⁸but ye — ye do injustice, and ye defraud, and these — brethren!

⁹Kun wala ba kamo manghibalo nga ang mga dilimatarung dili makapanunod sa gingharian sa Dios? Dili kamo magpalimbong: bisan ang mga makighilawason, bisan ang mga magsisimba sa diosdios, bisan ang mga mananapaw, bisan ang mahilayon, bisan ang mga mapatuyangon sa ilang kaugalingon uban sa mga lalake,

⁹have ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,

¹⁰Bisan ang mga kawatan, bisan ang mga masinahon, bisan ang mga palahubog, bisan ang mga mapanamastamason, bisan ang mga malupigon, sila dili makapanunod sa gingharian sa Dios.

¹⁰nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit.

¹¹Ug ang uban kaninyo kamiadto sama niana; apan gihinloan na kamo, apan gibalaan na kamo, apan gipakamatarung kamo sa ngalan sa Ginoong Jesucristo, ug diha sa Espiritu sa atong Dios.

¹¹And certain of you were these! but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were declared righteous, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹²Ang tanang mga butang gitugot kanako, apan dili tanang mga butang mapuslanon; ang tanang mga butang gitugot alang kanako, apan dili ako buot mopasakup sa gahum sa bisan unsa.

¹²All things are lawful to me, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful to me, but I — I will not be under authority by any;

¹³Ang mga kalan-on alang sa tiyan, ug ang tiyan alang sa mga kalan-on; apan kini ug sila pagalaglagon sa Dios. Apan ang lawas dili alang sa pagpakighilawas, kondili alang sa Ginoo, ug ang Ginoo alang sa lawas.

¹³the meats [are] for the belly, and the belly for the meats. And God both this and these shall make useless; and the body [is] not for whoredom, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body;

¹⁴Ug ang Dios nga nagbanhaw sa Ginoo, magabanhaw man usab kanato pinaagi sa iyang gahum.

¹⁴and God both the Lord did raise, and us will raise up through His power.

¹⁵Wala ba kamo manghibalo, nga ang inyong mga lawas mga bahin ni Cristo? Nan, kuhaon ko ba karon ang mga bahin ni Cristo, ug buhaton ko sila nga mga bahin sa usa ka bigaon? Kana dili gayud mahimo!

¹⁵Have ye not known that your bodies are members of Christ? having taken, then, the members of the Christ, shall I make [them] members of an harlot? let it be not!

¹⁶Kun, wala ba kamo manghibalo, nga ang gipakig-ipon sa usa ka bigaon, maoy usa ka lawas? Kay ang duruha, miingon siya, mahimong usa ka unod.

¹⁶have ye not known that he who is joined to the harlot is one body? `for they shall be — saith He — the two for one flesh.`

¹⁷Apan ang gipakig-ipon sa Ginoo maoy usa ka espiritu.

¹⁷And he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit;

¹⁸Mangalagiw kamo sa pakighilawas. Ang tanang sala nga pagabuhaton sa tawo gawas man sa lawas; apan siya nga magapakighilawas, makasala batok sa iyang kaugalingong lawas.

¹⁸flee the whoredom; every sin — whatever a man may commit — is without the body, and he who is committing whoredom, against his own body doth sin.

¹⁹Kun wala ba kamo manghibalo nga ang inyong lawas mao ang templo sa Espiritu Santo nga anaa kaninyo nga inyong nabatonan gikan sa Dios? ug dili na kamo inyo sa inyong kaugalingon.

¹⁹Have ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own,

²⁰Kay pinalit kamo sa usa ka bili: busa, himayaon ninyo ang Dios sa inyong lawas ug sa inyong espiritu, nga mga iya sa Dios.

²⁰for ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God`s.
