¹Ug siya miingon sa iyang mga tinon-an: Dili mahimo; apan nga moabut gayud ang mga kahigayonan sa pagkapangdol; apan alaut kadtong tungod kaniya moabut sila.

¹And he said unto the disciples, `It is impossible for the stumbling blocks not to come, but wo [to him] through whom they come;

²Maayo pa kaniya nga pagahiktan siya sa iyang liog ug usa ka galingang bato, ug igatambog siya sa dagat, kay sa magapapangdol siya sa usa niining mga gagmay.

²it is more profitable to him if a weighty millstone is put round about his neck, and he hath been cast into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to stumble.

³Matngoni ninyo ang inyong kaugalingon; kong ang imong igsoon makasala batok kanimo, badlongon mo siya; ug kong siya maghinulsol, pasayloa siya.

³`Take heed to yourselves, and, if thy brother may sin in regard to thee, rebuke him, and if he may reform, forgive him,

⁴Ug kong siya makasala batok kanimo sa makapito sulod sa usa ka adlaw, ug sa makapito magabalik kanimo sa pag-ingon: Nagahinulsol ako; pasayloon mo siya.

⁴and if seven times in the day he may sin against thee, and seven times in the day may turn back to thee, saying, I reform; thou shalt forgive him.`

⁵Ug ang mga apostoles miingon sa Ginoo: Dugangi ang among pagtoo.

⁵And the apostles said to the Lord, `Add to us faith;`

⁶Ug ang Ginoo miingon: Kong kamo adunay pagtoo nga ingon sa usa ka lugas nga mostaza, magaingon kamo niining kahoyng sicomoro: Maibut ka sa gamut, ug matanum ka sa dagat; ug kana magasugot kaninyo.

⁶and the Lord said, `If ye had faith as a grain of mustard, ye would have said to this sycamine, Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.

⁷Apan kinsa kaninyo nga adunay usa ka ulipon nga nagadaro, kun nagabantay ug mga carnero, nga magaingon kaniya sa nahauli siya gikan sa kapatagan: Umari ka gilayon ug maglingkod sa lamesa?

⁷`But, who is he of you — having a servant ploughing or feeding — who, to him having come in out of the field, will say, Having come near, recline at meat?

⁸Ug dili ba hinoon magaingon kaniya: Hikaya ang igapanihapon ko, ug magbakus ka ug mag-alagad kanako hangtud nga ako makakaon ug makainum; ug sa human niini mokaon ug moinum ka?

⁸but will not [rather] say to him, Prepare what I may sup, and having girded thyself about, minister to me, till I eat and drink, and after these things thou shalt eat and drink?

⁹Magapasalamat ba siya niadto nga ulipon kay naghimo sa gisugo kaniya? Nagadahum ako nga dili.

⁹Hath he favour to that servant because he did the things directed? I think not.

¹⁰Ingon usab niini kamo: kong nakahimo kamo sa tanang gisugo kaninyo, moingon kamo: Kami mga ulipon nga walay pulos, kay gihimo lamang namo ang katungdanan namong pagabuhaton.

¹⁰`So also ye, when ye may have done all the things directed you, say — We are unprofitable servants, because that which we owed to do — we have done.`

¹¹Ug nahitabo, sa nagapadulong sila sa Jerusalem, nga siya miagi sa kadaplinan sa Samaria ug sa Galilea.

¹¹And it came to pass, in his going on to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee,

¹²Ug sa misulod siya sa usa ka balangay, may misugat kaniya nga napulo ka mga tawo nga sanlahon nga nagtindog sa halayo.

¹²and he entering into a certain village, there met him ten leprous men, who stood afar off,

¹³Ug gipatugbaw nila ang ilang mga tingog sa pag-ingon: Jesus, Magtutudlo, kaloy-i kami.

¹³and they lifted up the voice, saying, `Jesus, master, deal kindly with us;`

¹⁴Ug sa iyang nakita sila, siya miingon kanila: Lumakaw kamo ug magpakita sa mga sacerdote. Ug nahatabo nga sa nagalakaw sila, nangahinlo sila.

¹⁴and having seen [them], he said to them, `Having gone on, shew yourselves to the priests;` and it came to pass, in their going, they were cleansed,

¹⁵Ug ang usa kanila, sa pagkakita nga siya nahinlo, mibalik nga nagadayeg sa Dios sa makusog nga tingog;

¹⁵and one of them having seen that he was healed did turn back, with a loud voice glorifying God,

¹⁶Ug siya mihapa sa mga tiil ni Jesus sa pagpasalamat kaniya, ug siya usa ka Samariahanon.

¹⁶and he fell upon [his] face at his feet, giving thanks to him, and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷Ug sa mitubag si Jesus, miingon: Wala ba magmahinlo ang napulo? Apan hain ang siyam?

¹⁷And Jesus answering said, `Were not the ten cleansed, and the nine — where?

¹⁸Wala bay bisan kinsa kanila nga mibalik sa paghimaya sa Dios, gawas niining dumoduong?

¹⁸There were not found who did turn back to give glory to God, except this alien;`

¹⁹Ug siya miingon kaniya: Tumindog ug lumakaw ka, ang imong pagtoo maoy nagluwas kanimo.

¹⁹and he said to him, `Having risen, be going on, thy faith hath saved thee.`

²⁰Ug sa gipangutana siya sa mga Fariseo kong anus-a moabut ang gingharian sa Dios, siya mitubag kanila ug miingon: Dili moanhi ang gingharian sa Dios pinaagi sa mga pagpaminaw.

²⁰And having been questioned by the Pharisees, when the reign of God doth come, he answered them, and said, `The reign of God doth not come with observation;

²¹Ug dili usab sila magaingon: Ania dinhi! kun, Atua didto! Kay ania karon, ang gingharian sa Dios anaa kaninyo.

²¹nor shall they say, Lo, here; or lo, there; for lo, the reign of God is within you.`

²²Ug siya miingon sa iyang mga tinon-an: Moabut ang mga adlaw nga buot unta kamo motan-aw ug usa sa mga adlaw sa Anak sa tawo, ug dili ninyo kini hikit-an.

²²And he said unto his disciples, `Days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and ye shall not behold [it];

²³Ug sila magaingon kaninyo: Ania dinhi! kun, Atua didto! Dili kamo manlakat, ug dili usab kamo magsunod kanila.

²³and they shall say to you, Lo, here; or lo, there; ye may not go away, nor follow;

²⁴Kay ingon sa kilat, sa magadan-ag kini gikan sa usa ka bahin sa ilalum sa langit, magadan-ag usab ngadto sa usa ka bahin sa ilalum sa langit; ingon niini usab ang Anak sa tawo sa iyang adlaw.

²⁴for as the lightning that is lightening out of the one [part] under heaven, to the other part under heaven doth shine, so shall be also the Son of Man in his day;

²⁵Apan kinahanglan una siya magaantus ug daghang mga butang; ug igasalikway niini nga kaliwatan.

²⁵and first it behoveth him to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.

²⁶Ug ingon sa nahatabo sa mga adlaw ni Noe, mao usab sa mga adlaw sa Anak sa tawo.

²⁶`And, as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man;

²⁷Nanagpangaon sila, nanagpanginum, nanagpangasawa, gipangasawa, hangtud sa adlaw nga misulod si Noe sa arca, ug miabut ang lunop ug naglaglag kanilang tanan.

²⁷they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the deluge came, and destroyed all;

²⁸Mao usab sumala sa nahitabo sa mga ad law ni Lot: nanagpangaon sila, nanagpanginum, nanagpamalit, nanagpamaligya, nanagpananum, nanagpatindog ug mga puloy-anan.

²⁸in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;

²⁹Apan sa adlaw nga mipahawa si Lot sa Sodoma, miulan ug kalayo ug azufre gikan sa langit, ug milaglag kanilang tanan.

²⁹and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all.

³⁰Mao usab ang mahatabo sa adlaw nga igapadayag ang Anak sa tawo.

³⁰`According to these things it shall be, in the day the Son of Man is revealed;

³¹Niadtong adlawa, siya nga anaa sa ibubungan, ug ang iyang mga butang anaa sa sulod sa balay, dili siya manaug sa pagkuha kanila; ug siya nga anaa sa kapatagan dili usab magabalik.

³¹in that day, he who shall be on the house top, and his vessels in the house, let him not come down to take them away; and he in the field, in like manner, let him not turn backward;

³²Hinumdumi ninyo ang asawa ni Lot.

³²remember the wife of Lot.

³³Bisan kinsa nga magapaninguha sa pagluwas sa iyang kinabuhi, mawala kini kaniya; apan bisan kinsa nga mawad-an sa iyang kinabuhi, maluwas kini niya.

³³Whoever may seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever may lose it, shall preserve it.

³⁴Nagaingon ako kaninyo nga niadtong gabhiona may duha ka tawo sa usa ka higdaanan; ang usa pagakuhaon ug ang usa pagabiyaan;

³⁴`I say to you, In that night, there shall be two men on one couch, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left;

³⁵May duha ka babaye nga magaabay paggaling; ang usa pagadad-on ug ang usa pagabiyaan;

³⁵two women shall be grinding at the same place together, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left;

³⁶May duha ka tawo nga anaa sa kapatagan; ang usa pagadad-on ug ang usa pagabiyaan.

³⁶two men shall be in the field, the one shall be taken, and the other left.`

³⁷Ug sila mingtubag ug nanag-ingon kaniya: Hain, Ginoo? Ug siya miingon kanila: Kong hain ang lawas, didto magatigum ang mga agila.

³⁷And they answering say to him, `Where, sir?` and he said to them, `Where the body [is], there will the eagles be gathered together.`
