¹Sa katapusan, mga igsoon, nagapangaliyupo ug nagatambag kami kaninyo tungod sa Ginoong Jesus nga, ingon sa inyong nadawat kanamo kong unsa ang kinahanglan nga paggawi ug pagpahamuot ninyo sa Dios, ingon sa inyong paggawi usab, magmadagayaon kamo sa labi pa gayud.

¹For the rest, then, brethren, we beg you and exhort you in [the] Lord Jesus, even as ye have received from us how ye ought to walk and please God, even as ye also do walk, that ye would abound still more.

²Kay hingbaloan ninyo kong unsa ang mga tugon nga among gihatag kaninyo pinaagi sa Ginoong Jesus

²For ye know what charges we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

³Kay ang kabubut-on sa Dios mao kini: ang pagbalaan kaninyo, nga maglikay kamo sa pagpakighilawas;

³For this is [the] will of God, [even] your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication;

⁴Nga ang tagsatagsa kaninyo manghibalo nga magbaton sa iyang sudlanan sa pagkabalaan ug sa kadungganan:

⁴that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honour,

⁵Dili sa pagbati nga makihilawason, nga sama sa mga Gentil, nga wala makaila sa Dios;

⁵(not in passionate desire, even as the nations who know not God,)

⁶Nga walay bisan kinsa nga magalapas ug magalimbong sa iyang igsoon niini nga butanga; kay ang Ginoo mao ang magbabalus niining tanang mga butanga, ingon usab sa among gipasidaan ug gipamatud-an kaninyo.

⁶not overstepping the rights of and wronging his brother in the matter, because the Lord [is] the avenger of all these things, even as we also told you before, and have fully testified.

⁷Kay wala kita pagtawga sa Dios alang sa kahugaw, kondili diha sa pagkabalaan.

⁷For God has not called us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

⁸Busa ang nagasalikway, wala magsalikway sa tawo, kondili sa Dios, nga naghatag usab kaninyo sa iyang Espiritu Santo.

⁸He therefore that [in this] disregards [his brother], disregards, not man, but God, who has given also his Holy Spirit to you.

⁹Apan mahatungod sa gugma nga minagsoon, wala kamoy kinahanglan nga may magsulat pa kaninyo, kay kamo gayud usab gitudloan sa Dios nga managhigugmaay kamo ang usa ug usa;

⁹Now concerning brotherly love ye have no need that we should write to you, for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

¹⁰Kay sa pagkamatuod gibuhat ninyo kini sa tanang igsoon, nga atua sa tibook nga Macedonia. Apan nagatambag kami kaninyo, mga igsoon, nga managpadagaya kamo sa labi pa gayud;

¹⁰For also ye do this towards all the brethren in the whole of Macedonia; but we exhort you, brethren, to abound still more,

¹¹Ug managtoon kamo sa pagpakahilum ug sa pagbuhat sa inyong kaugalingong mga bulohaton, ug managbuhat uban sa inyong mga kamot, ingon sa gitugon namo kaninyo.

¹¹and to seek earnestly to be quiet and mind your own affairs, and work with your [own] hands, even as we charged you,

¹²Aron managgawi kamo sa angay sa atubangan sa mga anaa sa gawas, ug dili makulangan sa bisan unsa.

¹²that ye may walk reputably towards those without, and may have need of no one.

¹³Apan dili kami buot, mga igsoon, nga dili ninyo mahibaloan ang mahatungod sa mga nangatulog na; aron dili kamo managsubo, bisan ingon sa uban nga walay paglaum.

¹³But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are fallen asleep, to the end that ye be not grieved even as also the rest who have no hope.

¹⁴Kay kong mitoo kita nga si Jesus namatay ug nabanhaw, ingon man usab ang mga nangatulog pinaagi kang Jesus, pagadad-on sa Dios uban kaniya.

¹⁴For if we believe that Jesus has died and has risen again, so also God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

¹⁵Kay kini giingon namo kaninyo sumala sa pulong sa Ginoo: nga kita nga mga buhi, nga managpabilin hangtud sa pag-abut sa Ginoo, dili kita magauna sa mga nangatulog.

¹⁵(For this we say to you in [the] word of [the] Lord, that *we*, the living, who remain to the coming of the Lord, are in no way to anticipate those who have fallen asleep;

¹⁶Kay ang mao nga Ginoo, sa usa ka pagsinggit, sa usa ka tingog sa punoan sa mga manolonda, ug sa budyong sa Dios, manaug gikan sa langit ug ang mga nangamatay diha kang Cristo mangabanhaw pag-una.

¹⁶for the Lord himself, with an assembling shout, with archangel's voice and with trump of God, shall descend from heaven; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

¹⁷Unya kita nga mga buhi nga nanghibilin, pagalalinon kita pagtingub ngadto sa ibabaw uban kanila sa mga panganod, sa pagsugat sa Ginoo; ug ingon niini magakauban kita gihapon sa Ginoo.

¹⁷then *we*, the living who remain, shall be caught up together with them in [the] clouds, to meet the Lord in [the] air; and thus we shall be always with [the] Lord.

¹⁸Busa, maglipayay kamo ang usa ug usa niini nga mga pulong.

¹⁸So encourage one another with these words.)
