¹Sa diha nga ang tawo magapili ug asawa ug mangasawa kaniya, siya dili moayon kaniya tungod kay nakakaplag siya kaniya ug butang nga dili maputli, magasulat siya kaniya ug sulat sa pagpakigbulag, ug igahatag niya sa iyang kamot, ug pagapagulaon niya siya sa iyang balay.

¹When a man taketh a wife, and marrieth her, it shall be if she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a letter of divorce, and give it into her hand, and send her out of his house.

²Ug sa mahigula na siya sa iyang balay, makalakaw siya ug mahimong asawa sa lain nga lalake.

²And she shall depart out of his house, and go away, and may become another man's wife.

³Ug kong ang ulahi nga bana masilag kaniya, ug magasulat kaniya ug sulat sa pagpakigbulag, ug igahatag niya kini sa iyang kamot, ug iyang pagapagulaon siya sa iyang balay; o kong mamatay ang ulahi nga lalake nga mikuha kaniya aron maiyang asawa,

³And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a letter of divorce, and give it into her hand, and send her out of his house; or if the latter husband die who took her as his wife;

⁴Ang iyang unang bana nga nagpagula kaniya dili magkuha kaniya pag-usab aron nga kini maasawa niya, sa human na siya mahugawi; kay kini dulumtanan sa atubangan ni Jehova; ug dili mo hatagan ug higayon sa pagpakasala ang yuta nga gihatag kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios sa pagkapanulondon.

⁴her first husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for it is an abomination before Jehovah; and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

⁵Sa diha nga nagapili ang tawo ug bag-ong asawa, dili siya magaadto sa pagpanggubat, dili usab siya hatagan ug gahum sa bisan unsang bulohaton: magapuyo siya sa iyang balay nga walay katungdanan sa usa ka tuig, ug maglipay sa iyang asawa nga iyang gipili.

⁵When a man hath newly taken a wife, he shall not go out with the army, neither shall any kind of business be imposed upon him; he shall be free for his house one year, and shall gladden his wife whom he hath taken.

⁶Walay tawo nga magaprenda sa galingan, bisan sa ligsanan sa galingan: kay kini maoy pagprenda sa kinabuhi.

⁶No man shall take the hand-mill or the upper millstone in pledge; for it would be taking life in pledge.

⁷Kong may tawo nga hikaplagan nga mangawat sa bisan kinsa sa iyang igsoon sa mga anak sa Israel, ug pagapatigayonon niya siya ingon nga ulipon, kun iyang igabaligya siya; ang maong kawatan mamatay, niini nga paagi pagkuhaon mo ang dautan sa taliwala mo.

⁷If a man be found who hath stolen one of his brethren of the children of Israel, and who hath treated him as a slave and sold him, that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from thy midst.

⁸Magmatngon ka sa sakit sa sanla, nga pagapanid-an mo sa pagkasingkamut gayud, ug pagabuhaton mo ingon sa tanan nga igatudlo kaninyo sa mga sacerdote nga Levihanon magmatngon kamo sa pagbuhat sumala sa akong gisugo kanila.

⁸Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou take great heed, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them shall ye take heed to do.

⁹Hinumduman mo ang gibuhat ni Jehova nga imong Dios kang Miriam sa dalan sa tapus na kamo mipahawa sa Egipto.

⁹Remember what Jehovah thy God did unto Miriam on the way, after that ye came forth out of Egypt.

¹⁰Sa diha nga magapahulam ka sa imong isigkatawo sa bisan unsang paagi sa paghulam, dili ka magsulod sa iyang balay sa pagkuha kaniya ug prenda.

¹⁰When thou dost lend thy brother anything, thou shalt not go into his house to secure his pledge.

¹¹Maghulat ka sa gawas, ug ang tawo nga imong pahulamon magadala sa prenda kanimo ngadto sa gawas.

¹¹Thou shalt stand outside, and the man to whom thou hast made a loan shall bring out the pledge to thee without.

¹²Ug kong kining tawohana kabus dili ka magkatulog uban sa iyang prenda.

¹²And if the man be needy, thou shalt not lie down with his pledge;

¹³Kinahanglan gayud nga igauli mo kaniya ang prenda sa dili pa mosalop ang adlaw, aron matulog siya sa iyang bisti, ug magapanalangin kanimo: ug kini mamao ang pagkamatarung alang kanimo sa atubangan ni Jehova nga imong Dios.

¹³in any case thou shalt return him the pledge at the going down of the sun, that he may sleep in his own upper garment and bless thee; and it shall be righteousness unto thee before Jehovah thy God.

¹⁴Dili mo pagdaugdaugon ang mamomoo nga kabus ug adunay kinahanglan, bisan siya usa sa imong mga igsoon, bisan sa mga dumuloong nga anaa sa imong yuta sulod sa imong mga ganghaan:

¹⁴Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant [who is] poor and needy of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners who are in thy land within thy gates:

¹⁵Sa iyang adlaw magahatag ka kaniya sa iyang suhol, ug dili pagapasalopan sa adlaw kini (kay siya kabus, ug ang iyang kasingkasing nagatinguha alang sa iyang kinabuhi); kay tingali unya magatu-aw siya batok kanimo kang Jehova, mahimong sala kini kanimo.

¹⁵on his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and his soul yearneth after it; lest he cry against thee to Jehovah, and it be a sin in thee.

¹⁶Ang mga amahan dili pagapatyon tungod sa mga anak, ni ang mga anak pagapatyon tungod sa mga amahan; ang tagsatagsa pagapatyon tungod sa iyang kaugalingong sala.

¹⁶The fathers shall not be put to death for the sons, neither shall the sons be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

¹⁷Dili mo balit-aron ang katarungan nga angay sa lumalangyaw, kun sa mga ilo; dili ka usab magdawat sa bisti sa balo nga babaye ingon nga prenda:

¹⁷Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, [or] of the fatherless; and thou shalt not take in pledge a widow's garment.

¹⁸Apan hinumduman mo nga naulipon ka didto sa Egipto, ug gikan didto gibawi ka ni Jehova nga imong Dios; busa nagasugo ako kanimo sa pagbuhat niini.

¹⁸And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and that Jehovah thy God redeemed thee from thence; therefore I command thee to do this thing.

¹⁹Sa diha nga magaani ka sa imong mga uhay sa imong uma, ug nahikalimot ka sa usa ka bugkos nga uhay didto sa uma dili ka magbalik sa pagkuha niana; kini iya sa dumulong, sa ilo, ug sa balo nga babaye; aron pagapanalanginan ka ni Jehova nga imong Dios sa tanan nga bulohaton sa imong mga kamot.

¹⁹When thou reapest thy harvest in thy field, and forgettest a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not return to fetch it; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hands.

²⁰Sa diha nga magauyog ka sa imong mga oliva dili mo paghagdawan ang mga sanga pag-usab: kini alang na sa dumuloong, sa ilo, ug sa balo nga babaye.

²⁰When thou shakest thine olive-tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

²¹Sa diha nga magapamupo ka sa mga bunga sa imong parrasan dili mo paghagdawan pag-usab; kini alang sa dumuloong, sa ilo, ug sa balo nga babaye.

²¹When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterwards; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

²²Ug pagahinumduman mo nga naulipon ka sa yuta didto sa Egipto: busa ginasugo ko ikaw nga buhaton mo kini.

²²And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt; therefore I command thee to do this thing.
