¹Kong adunay paglalis sa taliwala sa mga tawo, ug mangadto sila sa paghukom, ug mga maghuhukom magahukom kanila, pagabuhian nila ang matarung, ug pagahukman nila sa silot ang dautan.

¹If there be a controversy between men, and they resort to judgment, and they judge [their case]; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

²Ug mahitabo nga kong ang dautang tawo angay nga pagahampakon, nga ang maghuhukom magapaubo kaniya ug iyang ipahampak siya sa iyang atubangan, sumala sa iyang pagkadautan, sa pila ka isip.

²And it shall be if the wicked man have deserved to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and be beaten before his face, according to the measure of his wickedness with a certain number [of stripes].

³Iyang pagalatuson siya ug kap-atan ka hampak, dili siya magapalabaw niini; tingali kong siya magahampak nga kapin niini, unya ang imong igsoon madautan nga pagatan-awon sa atubangan mo.

³With forty [stripes] shall they beat him; they shall not exceed, lest, if they continue to beat him with many stripes above these, thy brother become despicable in thine eyes.

⁴Dili mo pagbutangan ug busal ang baba sa vaca kong magagiuk kini sa trigo .

⁴Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out [the corn].

⁵Kong ang mga managsoon magatingub sa pagpuyo, ug mamatay ang usa kanila, ug walay anak, ang asawa sa namatay dili makapamana sa gawas sa lalake nga dumuloong: ang igsoon sa iyang bana moadto kaniya ug mangasawa kaniya, ug magabuhat siya sa katungdanan ingon nga igsoon sa bana niya .

⁵If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no son, the wife of the dead shall not marry a stranger abroad: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him as wife, and perform the duty of a husband's brother unto her.

⁶Ug mahitabo nga ang panganay nga lalake nga igapanganak niya, magabangon sa ngalan sa iyang igsoon nga namatay, aron ang ngalan niini dili mapala sa Israel.

⁶And it shall be, that the firstborn that she beareth shall stand in the name of his brother who is dead, that his name be not blotted out from Israel.

⁷Ug kong ang tawo dili buot magadawat sa asawa sa iyang igsoon, unya moadto ang asawa sa iyang igsoon sa pultahan ngadto sa mga anciano, ug magaingon siya: Ang igsoon nga lalake sa akong bana dili buot magabangon pag-usab alang sa iyang igsoon ug ngalan sa Israel; siya dili buot magpakigkaubanan kanako.

⁷But if the man like not to take his brother's wife, his brother's wife shall go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel: he will not perform for me the duty of a husband's brother.

⁸Unya ang mga anciano sa iyang lungsod magapaanha kaniya, ug magapakigsulti kaniya: ug kong siya motingog ug moingon: Ako dili buot magadawat kaniya.

⁸Then the elders of his city shall call him and speak unto him; and if he stand to it and say, I like not to take her;

⁹Nan moduol kaniya ang asawa sa iyang igsoon sa atubangan sa mga anciano, ug magabadbad sa iyang sapin sa iyang tiil, ug magaluwa sa iyang nawong ug mosulti ug magaingon: Mao kini ang pagabuhaton sa tawo nga dili magatukod sa balay sa iyang igsoon nga lalake.

⁹then shall his brother's wife come near to him before the eyes of the elders, and draw his sandal from his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto the man that will not build up his brother's house.

¹⁰Ug ang iyang ngalan pagahinganlan sa Israel: Ang balay sa binadbaran sa sapin.

¹⁰And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe drawn off.

¹¹Sa diha nga manag-away ang mga tawo sa usa ug usa, ug moabut ang asawa sa usa aron sa pagluwas sa iyang bana gikan sa kamot sa magasamad kaniya, ug igakuot niya ang iyang kamot, ug iyang pagakuhaon siya pinaagi sa mga butang tinago;

¹¹When men fight together one with another, and the wife of the one come near to rescue her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and stretch out her hand, and seize him by his secret parts,

¹²Unya pagaputlon mo ang iyang kamot: ang imong mata dili magakalooy kaniya.

¹²thou shalt cut off her hand; thine eye shall not spare.

¹³Dili ka magbaton diha sa imong puntil sa nagakalainlain nga timbang, dagku ug gagmay.

¹³Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.

¹⁴Dili ka magbaton diha sa imong balay sa taksanan nga nagkalainlain, dagku ug gagmay.

¹⁴Thou shalt not have in thy house divers ephahs, a great and a small.

¹⁵Magabaton ka ug timbangan nga hingpit ug matarung: magabaton ka ug taksanan nga hingpit ug matarung: aron pahalugwayan ang imong mga adlaw sa yuta nga ginahatag kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios.

¹⁵A perfect and just weight shalt thou have; a perfect and just ephah shalt thou have; that thy days may be prolonged in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

¹⁶Kadtong tanan nga magabuhat nianang mga butanga, bisan kinsa nga magabuhat ug dili matarung, maoy usa ka dulumtanan alang kang Jehova nga imong Dios.

¹⁶For every one that doeth such things, every one that doeth unrighteousness, is an abomination to Jehovah thy God.

¹⁷Hinumduman mo ang gibuhat ni Amalec kanimo sa dalan, sa paggikan ninyo sa Egipto:

¹⁷Remember what Amalek did unto thee on the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt;

¹⁸Nga siya misugat kanimo sa dalan, ug naglaglag sa ulahi nga panon sa mga sundalo, sa tanan nga mga mahuyang sa ulahi nimo, sa diha nga gikapuyan ka ug gibudlay; ug wala siya mahadlok sa Dios.

¹⁸how he met thee on the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, all the feeble that lagged behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary, and he feared not God.

¹⁹Busa mahitabo, sa diha nga si Jehova nga imong Dios makahatag na kanimo sa kapahulayan gikan sa imong mga kaaway nga nagalibut, sa yuta nga gihatag kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios sa pagkapanulondon aron magapanag-iya niini, nga pagapalaon mo ang handumanan ni Amalec gikan sa ilalum sa langit: dili ka mahikalimot.

¹⁹And it shall be, when Jehovah thy God shall have given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens; thou shalt not forget it.
