¹Ug nahitabo, sa nakadungog niini si Jabin ang hari sa Hasor, nga siya nagpaadto ngadto kang Jobab, hari sa Madon, ug ngadto sa hari sa Simron, ug ngadto sa hari sa Achsaph,

¹And it came to pass when Jabin king of Hazor heard [this], that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,

²Ug ngadto sa mga hari nga didto sa amihanan, sa kabungtoran, ug sa Araba dapit sa habagatan sa Cinnerot, ug didto sa kapatagan ug sa mga kinahataasan sa Dor dapit sa kasadpan,

²and to the kings that were northward in the mountains, and in the plain south of Chinneroth, and in the lowland, and on the upland of Dor on the west,

³Ngadto sa Canaanhon sa silangan ug sa kasadpan, ug sa Amorehanon, ug sa Hetehanon, ug sa Peresehanon, ug sa Jebusehanon sa kabungtoran, ug sa Hebehanon sa ilalum sa Hermon sa yuta sa Mispa.

³to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite at the foot of Hermon in the land of Mizpah.

⁴Ug sila nanggula, sila ug ang tanang mga panon sa kasundalohan uban kanila, daghang mga tawo, sama sa gidaghanon sa balas nga anaa sa kabaybayonan, uban ang mga kabayo ug mga carro nga daghan kaayo.

⁴And they went out, they and all their armies with them, a people numerous as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.

⁵Ug kining tanang mga hari nanagkatigum; ug sila nangadto nga mingpahaluna sa katubigan sa Merom, sa pagpakig-away batok sa Israel.

⁵And all these kings met together, and came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.

⁶Ug si Jehova namulong kang Josue: Ayaw kahadlok tungod kanila; kay ugma niining panahona igahatag ko nga patay silang tanan sa atubangan sa Israel: Ikaw magakiting sa ilang mga kabayo ug magasunog sa ilang mga carro sa kalayo.

⁶And Jehovah said to Joshua, Be not afraid because of them; for to-morrow about this time will I give them all up slain before Israel: their horses shalt thou hough, and thou shalt burn their chariots with fire.

⁷Busa si Josue miadto, ug kuyog kaniya ang iyang tanang katawohan-nga-iggugubat, ug dihadiha ming-asdang kanila didto sa katubigan sa Merom.

⁷And Joshua, and all the people of war with him, came upon them by the waters of Merom suddenly, and fell upon them.

⁸Ug sila gitugyan ni Jehova sa kamot sa Israel, ug ilang gipamatay sila, ug gigukod sila ngadto sa bantugang Sidon, ug ngadto sa Misrepotmayim, ug ngadto sa walog sa Mispa padulong ngadto sa silangan; ug ilang gipanigbas sila hangtud nga walay nanghibilin.

⁸And Jehovah delivered them into the hand of Israel, and they smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and to Misrephoth-maim, and to the valley of Mizpah eastward, and smote them until none were left remaining to them.

⁹Ug si Josue nagbuhat kanila sumala sa gisugo ni Jehova kaniya: iyang gipangitingan ang ilang mga kabayo, ug gisunog sa kalayo ang ilang mga carro.

⁹And Joshua did to them as Jehovah had said to him: he houghed their horses, and burned their chariots with fire.

¹⁰Ug niadtong panahona misibug si Josue ug gikuha niya ang Hasor, ug gitigbas pinaagi sa pinuti ang hari didto: kay ang Hasor kaniadto maoy pangulo sa tanan niadtong mga gingharian.

¹⁰And Joshua turned back at that time, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword; for Hazor was in times past the head of all those kingdoms.

¹¹Ug gipanigbas nila sa sulab sa pinuti ang tanan nga may kinabuhi didto, gipoo gayud ang tanan; walay mausa nga nagginhawa nga nahabilin: ug iyang gisunog ang Hasor sa kalayo.

¹¹And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, destroying them utterly: there was not any left to breathe; and he burned Hazor with fire.

¹²Ug ang tanang mga ciudad niadtong mga haria, ug ang tanang mga hari nila, gikuha ni Josue, ug gitigbas niya sa sulab sa pinuti, ug gihurot sila gayud paglaglag; ingon sa gisugo ni Moises, ang alagad ni Jehova.

¹²And all the cities of those kings and all their kings did Joshua take; and he smote them with the edge of the sword, destroying them utterly, as Moses the servant of Jehovah had commanded.

¹³Apan mahitungod sa mga ciudad nga nagbarog sa ilang mga bungtod, wala sunoga sa mga Israelihanon; gawas sa Asor lamang; kana maoy gisunog ni Josue.

¹³Only, all the cities that stood still upon their hills Israel did not burn, save Hazor alone, [which] Joshua burned.

¹⁴Ug ang tanang mga butang nga nanghibilin niining mga ciudara, ug ang mga panon sa vaca, ang mga anak sa Israel nanguha niini alang sa pagkainagaw ngadto sa ilang kaugalingon; apan ang tagsatagsa ka tawo ilang gitigbas sa sulab sa pinuti hangtud nga nalaglag sila, ug walay bisan usa nga nagginhawa nga ilang gibilin.

¹⁴And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle the children of Israel took as prey to themselves; only, they smote all the men with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them: they left none that breathed.

¹⁵Ingon nga si Jehova nagsugo kang Moises nga iyang alagad, busa nagsugo usab si Moises kang Josue: ug ingon man gibuhat ni Josue; ang tanan nga gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises, walay bisan unsa nga wala niya buhata,

¹⁵As Jehovah had commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua: he let nothing fail of all that Jehovah had commanded Moses.

¹⁶Busa gikuha ni Josue kadtong tibook yuta, ang sa kabungtoran, ang tanan nga anaa sa habagatan, ug ang tibook yuta sa Gosen, ug ang kapatagan, ug ang Araba, ug ang kabungtoran sa Israel, ug ang kapatagan niana.

¹⁶And Joshua took all that land, the mountain and all the south, and all the land of Goshen, and the lowland, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and its lowland;

¹⁷Sukad sa bukid sa Halac nga nagapadulong ngadto sa Seir, ug ngadto na gayud sa Baal-gad, sa walog sa Libano ubos sa bukid sa Hermon: ug ang tanan nilang mga hari iyang gikuha ug gitigbas sila ngadto sa kamatayon.

¹⁷from the smooth mountain, which rises toward Seir, as far as Baal-Gad in the valley of Lebanon, at the foot of mount Hermon; and he took all their kings, and smote them, and put them to death.

¹⁸Si Josue dugay nang nagpakiggubat uban niadtong tanan nga mga hari.

¹⁸Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.

¹⁹Walay usa ka ciudad nga nagpakigdait sa mga anak sa Israel gawas sa mga Hebehanon, ang mga pumoluyo sa Gabaon: ilang nakuha ang tanan pinaagi sa gubat.

¹⁹There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites who dwelt at Gibeon; they took all in battle.

²⁰Kay gikan man kang Jehova ang pagkagahi sa ilang mga kasingkasing, sa pagpakig-away batok sa Israel, aron iyang malaglag gayud sila, aron sila dili kaloy-an, kondili aron siya magalaglag kanila ingon sa gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises.

²⁰For it was of Jehovah that their heart was hardened, to meet Israel in battle, that they might be utterly destroyed, and that there might be no favour shewn to them, but that they might be destroyed, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

²¹Ug si Josue miabut niadtong panahona, ug iyang gilaglag ang Anachanon gikan sa kabungtoran, gikan sa Hebron, gikan sa Debir, gikan sa Anab ug gikan sa tibook nga kabungtoran sa Juda ug gikan sa tibook kabungtoran sa Israel: si Josue naglaglag gayud kanila uban sa ilang mga ciudad.

²¹And Joshua came at that time and cut off the Anakim from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountain of Judah, and from all the mountain of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly, with their cities.

²²Walay nahabilin sa mga Anachanon sa yuta sa mga anak sa Israel: sa Gaza lamang, sa Gath ug sa Asdod, ang may pipila nga nahabilin.

²²There were none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel; only at Gazah, at Gath, and at Ashdod there remained.

²³Busa gikuha ni Josue ang tibook nga yuta sumala sa tanang gisulti ni Jehova kang Moises; ug si Josue mihatag niana ingon nga kabilin sa mga Israelihanon sumala sa ilang mga bahin pinaagi sa ilang mga banay. Ug ang yuta nakapahulay gikan sa gubat.

²³And Joshua took the whole land, according to all that Jehovah had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions, by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
