¹Pag-awit sa makusog ngadto sa Dios nga atong kusog: Sa Dios ni Jacob managsinggit kamo ug usa ka kagahub sa kalipay.

¹{To the chief Musician. Upon the Gittith. [A Psalm] of Asaph.} Sing ye joyously unto God our strength, shout aloud unto the God of Jacob;

²Pagpatugbaw ug usa ka awit, ug dad-a nganhi ang gagmayng tambor, Ang mananoy nga alpa uban ang salterio.

²Raise a song, and sound the tambour, the pleasant harp with the lute.

³Huypa ang trompeta sa bagong bulan, Sa bulan nga takdul, sa atong adlaw sa fiesta.

³Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the set time, on our feast day:

⁴Kay kini maoy usa ka kabalaoran alang sa Israel, Unsa ka tulomanon sa Dios ni Jacob.

⁴For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob;

⁵Iyang gitudlo kini kang Jose alang sa pagpamatuod, Sa diha nga migula siya gikan sa yuta sa Egipto, Diin hibatian ko ang usa ka sinultihan nga wala ko masabut.

⁵He ordained it in Joseph [for] a testimony, when he went forth over the land of Egypt, [where] I heard a language that I knew not.

⁶Gikuha ko ang iyang abaga gikan sa palas-anon: Ang iyang mga kamot gipagawas gikan sa alat.

⁶I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the basket.

⁷Sa kasamok ikaw misangpit, ug ako nagluwas kanimo; Gitubag ko ikaw sa dapit nga natago sa dalugdog; Nasulayan ko ikaw didto sa katubigan sa Meriba. (Selah)

⁷Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder; I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

⁸Patalinghug, Oh akong katawohan, ug ako magapamatuod kanimo: Oh Israel, kong ikaw magapatalinghug unta kanako!

⁸Hear, my people, and I will testify unto thee; O Israel, if thou wouldest hearken unto me!

⁹Dili ka magbaton ug lain nga dios diha kanimo; Ni magsimba ka sa bisan unsang dumuloong nga dios.

⁹There shall no strange ùgod be in thee, neither shalt thou worship any foreign ùgod.

¹⁰Ako mao si Jehova nga imong Dios, Nga nagkuha kanimo gikan sa yuta sa Egipto: Ngangha pagdaku ang imong baba, ug pagapun-on ko kini.

¹⁰I am Jehovah thy God, that brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

¹¹Apan ang akong katawohan wala magpatalinghug sa akong tingog; Ug ang Israel dili buot kanako.

¹¹But my people hearkened not to my voice, and Israel would none of me.

¹²Busa gipasagdan ko sila sa kagahi sa ilang kasingkasing, Aron sila managlakaw sa ilang kaugalingong mga tambag.

¹²So I gave them up unto their own hearts' stubbornness: they walked after their own counsels.

¹³Oh, nga magpatalinghug lamang unta ang akong katawohan kanako, Aron ang Israel maglakaw unta sa akong mga dalan!

¹³Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, that Israel had walked in my ways!

¹⁴Sa madali akong pagalaglagon ang ilang mga kaaway, Ug mosumbalik ang akong kamot batok sa ilang mga kabatok.

¹⁴I would soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

¹⁵Ang mga magdudumot kang Jehova managpasakup unta kaniya: Apan ang panahon nila magapadayon sa walay katapusan.

¹⁵The haters of Jehovah would have come cringing unto him; but their time would have been for ever.

¹⁶Siya magpakaon usab kanila sa labing matambok sa trigo; Ug sa dugos nga gikan sa bato pagatagbawon ko ikaw

¹⁶And he would have fed them with the finest of wheat; yea, with honey out of the rock would I have satisfied thee.
