¹Ug nahitabo sa diha nga ang Jerusalem naagaw, (Sa ikasiyam ka tuig Sedechias hari sa Juda, sa ikanapulo ka bulan, miabut si Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia ug ang tibook niyang kasundalohan batok sa Jerusalem, ug kini gilibutan nila ;

¹It happened when Jerusalem was taken, (in the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and besieged it;

²Ug sa ikanapulo ug usa ka tuig ni Sedechias, sa ikaupat ka bulan, sa ikasiyam ka adlaw sa bulan, nalungag ang usa ka kuta sa cuidad),

²in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, a breach was made in the city),

³Sa pagkaagi nga ang tanang mga principe sa hari sa Babilonia mingsulod, ug minglingkod sa kinatung-ang pultahan, nga mao ang Nergal-sareser, si Samgar-Nebo, si Sarsechim, si Rabsaris, si Nergal-sareser, si Rabmag, uban ang tanang salin sa mga principe sa hari sa Babilonia.

³that all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate, Nergal Sharezer, Samgarnebo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergal Sharezer, Rabmag, with all the rest of the princes of the king of Babylon.

⁴Ug nahatabo nga sa pagpakakita kanila ni Sedechias nga hari sa Juda ug sa tanang mga sundalo, unya sila mingkalagiw, ug minggula sa ciudad sa gabii, nga ming-agi sa alagianan sa tanaman sa hari, latas sa pultahan sa taliwala sa duruha ka mga kuta: ug siya migula paingon sa Arabah.

⁴It happened that, when Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls; and he went out toward the Arabah.

⁵But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he gave judgment on him.

⁶Unya ang mga anak ni Sedechias gipamatay sa hari sa Babilonia didto sa Riblat sa atubangan sa iyang mga mata: ingon man usab ang tanang mga harianong tawo sa Juda gipamatay sa hari sa Babilonia.

⁶Then the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon killed all the nobles of Judah.

⁷Labut pa iyang gilusok ang mga mata ni Sedechias, ug gigapus siya sa mga talikala, aron dad-on siya ngadto sa Babilonia.

⁷Moreover he put out Zedekiah’s eyes, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.

⁸Ug ang balay sa hari, ug ang mga balay sa katawohan gipanunog sa mga Caldeahanon, ug gipanumag ang mga kuta sa Jerusalem.

⁸The Chaldeans burned the king’s house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and broke down the walls of Jerusalem.

⁹Unya si Nebusaradan ang capitan sa mga magbalantay nagbihag ngadto sa Babilonia sa salin sa katawohan nga nagpabilin sa ciudad, ug ang mga mingbulag usab nga nangahulog sa iyang kamot , ug ang salin sa katawohan nga mingpabilin.

⁹Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the residue of the people who remained in the city, the deserters also who fell away to him, and the residue of the people who remained.

¹⁰Apan ang mga kabus sa katawohan nga walay bisan unsa, gibilin ni Nebusaradan, ang capitan sa mga magbalantay, didto sa yuta sa Juda, ug gihatagan sila ug kaparrasan ug kaumahan sa mao nga panahon.

¹⁰But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, who had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

¹¹Karon si Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia nagsugo kang nebusaradan nga capitan sa mga magbalantay, mahitungod kang Jeremias, nga nagaingon:

¹¹Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon commanded Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard concerning Jeremiah, saying,

¹²Kuhaa siya, ug alimahan mo siya pag-ayo, ug dili ka magdagmal kaniya; kondili buhata hinoon kaniya ang bisan unsa nga isulti niya kanimo.

¹²Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do to him even as he shall tell you.

¹³Busa gipadala ni Nebusaradan ang capitan sa mga magbalantay kining sugoa , ug si Nebusasban, si Rabsaris, ug si Nergal-Saraser, si Rabmag, ug ang tanang mga principe sa hari sa Babilonia;

¹³So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushazban, Rabsaris, and Nergal Sharezer, Rabmag, and all the chief officers of the king of Babylon;

¹⁴Sila nagpadala, ug gikuha si Jeremias, gikan sa sawang sa bilanggoan, ug gitugyan siya kang Gedalias ang anak nga lalake ni Ahicam, aron siya dad-on niya sa iyang balay. Busa siya mipuyo uban sa katawohan.

¹⁴they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the guard, and committed him to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he lived among the people.

¹⁵Karon ang pulong ni Jehova midangat kang Jeremias, sa gitakpan pa siya sa sawang sa bilanggoan, nga nagaingon:

¹⁵Now the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

¹⁶Lakaw, ug sultihan mo si Ebed-melech nga Etiopiahanon, sa pag-ingon: Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova sa mga panon, ang Dios sa Israel: Ania karon, dad-on ko ang akong mga pulong batok niining ciudara tungod sa kadautan, ug dili sa kaayohan; ug sila matuman nianang adlawa sa imong atubangan.

¹⁶Go, and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring my words on this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished before you in that day.

¹⁷Apan ako magaluwas kanimo nianang adlawa, nagaingon si Jehova; ug dili ka itugyan ngadto sa kamot sa mga tawo nga imong gikahadlokan.

¹⁷But I will deliver you in that day, says Yahweh; and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.

¹⁸Kay sa pagkamatwuod ako magaluwas kanimo, ug dili ka mahulog pinaagi sa espada, kondili ang imong kinabuhi hinoon mahimong ingon sa tukbonon nganha kanimo; tungod kay gibutang mo ang imong pagsalig kanako, nagaingon si Jehova.

¹⁸For I will surely save you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but your life shall be for a prey to you; because you have put your trust in me, says Yahweh.
