1Tebi si, Jahve, utječem, ne daj da se ikada postidim!
1In thee, Jehovah, do I trust: let me never be ashamed.
2U pravdi me svojoj spasi i izbavi, prikloni uho k meni i spasi me!
2Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me; incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
3Budi mi hrid utočišta i čvrsta utvrda spasenja: jer ti si stijena i utvrda moja.
3Be to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
4Bože moj, istrgni me iz ruke zlotvora, iz šake silnika i tlačitelja:
4My God, rescue me out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5jer ti si, o Gospode, ufanje moje, Jahve, uzdanje od moje mladosti!
5For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah, my confidence from my youth.
6Na te se oslanjam od utrobe; ti si mi zaštitnik od majčina krila: u te se svagda uzdam.
6On thee have I been stayed from the womb; from the bowels of my mother thou didst draw me forth: my praise shall be continually of thee.
7Mnogima postadoh čudo, jer ti si mi bio silna pomoć.
7I have been as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
8Usta mi bijahu puna tvoje hvale, slaviše te svaki dan!
8My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, with thy glory, all the day.
9Ne zabaci me u starosti: kad mi malakšu sile, ne zapusti me!
9Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
10Jer govore o meni moji dušmani, i koji me vrebaju složno se svjetuju:
10For mine enemies speak against me, and they that watch for my soul consult together,
11"Bog ga je napustio; progonite ga i uhvatite jer nema tko da ga spasi!"
11Saying, God hath forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver.
12O Bože, ne stoj daleko od mene, Bože moj, pohitaj mi u pomoć!
12O God, be not far from me; my God, hasten to my help.
13Neka se postide i propadnu koji traže moj život; nek' se sramotom i stidom pokriju koji mi žele nesreću!
13Let them be ashamed, let them be consumed, that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.
14A ja ću se uvijek uzdati, iz dana u dan hvaleć' te sve više.
14But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise thee yet more and more.
15Ustima ću naviještati pravednost tvoju, povazdan pomoć tvoju: jer im ne znam broja.
15My mouth shall declare thy righteousness, [and] thy salvation all the day: for I know not the numbers [thereof].
16Kazivat ću silu Jahvinu, Gospode, slavit ću samo tvoju pravednost.
16I will go in the might of the Lord Jehovah; I will recall thy righteousness, thine alone.
17Bože, ti mi bijaše učitelj od mladosti moje, i sve do sada naviještam čudesa tvoja.
17O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I proclaimed thy marvellous works:
18Ni u starosti, kad posijedim, Bože, ne zapusti me, da kazujem mišicu tvoju naraštaju novom i svima budućima silu tvoju,
18Now also, when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not, until I have proclaimed thine arm unto [this] generation, thy might to every one that is to come.
19i pravednost tvoju, Bože, koja seže do neba, kojom učini velika djela. Bože, tko je kao ti!
19And thy righteousness, O God, reacheth on high, thou who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee?
20Trpljenja mnoga i velika bacio si na me: ali ti ćeš me opet oživiti i opet me podići iz dubine zemlje.
20Thou, who hast shewn us many and sore troubles, wilt revive us again, and wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth;
21Povećaj dostojanstvo moje i opet me utješi:
21Thou wilt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
22A ja ću uz harfu slaviti tvoju vjernost, o Bože, svirat ću ti u citaru, Sveče Izraelov!
22I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, my God; unto thee will I sing psalms with the harp, thou holy One of Israel.
23Moje će usne klicati pjevajuć' tebi i moja duša koju si spasio.
23My lips shall exult when I sing psalms unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
24I moj će jezik svagda slaviti pravdu tvoju, jer su postiđeni i posramljeni oni što traže moju nesreću.
24My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day; for they shall be ashamed, for they shall be brought to confusion, that seek my hurt.
