1Žalm Azafův. Bůh stojí v shromáždění Božím, u prostřed bohů soud čině, a dí:
1God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods.
2Dokudž souditi budete nespravedlivě, a osoby nešlechetných přijímati? Sélah.
2“How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?” Selah.
3Zastávejte bídného a sirotka, utištěného a chudého spravedliva vyhlašujte.
3“Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
4Vytrhněte bídného a nuzného, z ruky nešlechetných vytrhněte ho.
4Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”
5Ale nevědí nic, nerozumějí nic; ve tmách ustavně chodí, až se proto všickni základové země pohybují.
5They don’t know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6Řeklť jsem já byl: Bohové jste, a synové Nejvyššího vy všickni;
6I said, “You are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High.
7A však jako i jiní lidé zemřete, a jako jeden z knížat padnete.
7Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.”
8Povstaniž, ó Bože, suď zemi; nebo ty dědičně vládneš všemi národy.
8Arise, God, judge the earth, for you inherit all of the nations.
