¹ Am hynny, gan i Grist ddioddef yn y cnawd, cymerwch chwithau yr un meddwl yn arfogaeth i chwi � oherwydd y mae'r sawl a ddioddefodd yn y cnawd wedi darfod � phechod �

¹Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

² fel na fydd ichwi mwyach dreulio gweddill eich amser yn y cnawd yn �l chwantau dynol, ond yn �l ewyllys Duw.

²That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

³ Oherwydd y mae'r amser a aeth heibio yn hen ddigon i fod wedi gwneud y pethau y mae bryd y Cenhedloedd arnynt, gan rodio mewn trythyllwch, chwantau, meddwdod, cyfeddach, diota ac eilunaddoliaeth ffiaidd.

³For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

⁴ Yn hyn o beth, y mae pobl yn ei gweld yn rhyfedd nad ydych chwi'n dal i ruthro gyda hwy i'r un llifeiriant o afradlonedd; ac y maent yn eich cablu.

⁴Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

⁵ Bydd raid iddynt roi cyfrif i'r hwn sydd yn barod i farnu'r byw a'r meirw.

⁵Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

⁶ I'r diben hwn y pregethwyd yr Efengyl i'r meirw hefyd; er mwyn iddynt � er cael eu barnu yn y cnawd fel y bernir pawb � fyw yn yr ysbryd fel y mae Duw yn byw.

⁶For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

⁷ Y mae diwedd pob peth ar ein gwarthaf. Am hynny, ymbwyllwch ac ymddisgyblwch i wedd�o.

⁷But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

⁸ O flaen pob peth, cadwch eich cariad at eich gilydd yn llawn angerdd, oherwydd y mae cariad yn dileu lliaws o bechodau.

⁸And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

⁹ Byddwch letygar i'ch gilydd heb rwgnach.

⁹Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

¹⁰ Yn �l fel y derbyniodd pob un ohonoch ddawn, defnyddiwch eich dawn yng ngwasanaeth eich gilydd, fel gweinyddwyr da ar amryfal ras Duw.

¹⁰As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

¹¹ Pwy bynnag sy'n llefaru, llefared fel un sydd wedi derbyn oraclau Duw; os yw'n gwasanaethu, gwasanaethed fel un sydd wedi derbyn o'r nerth y mae Duw yn ei gyfrannu. Yr amcan ym mhob dim yw gogoneddu Duw trwy Iesu Grist. Iddo ef y perthyn y gogoniant a'r gallu byth bythoedd. Amen.

¹¹If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹² Gyfeillion annwyl, peidiwch � rhyfeddu at y prawf tanllyd sydd ar waith yn eich plith, fel petai rhywbeth rhyfedd yn digwydd ichwi.

¹²Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

¹³ Yn hytrach, yn �l maint eich cyfran yn nioddefiadau Crist llawenhewch, er mwyn ichwi allu llawenhau hefyd, a gorfoleddu, pan ddatguddir ei ogoniant ef.

¹³But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

¹⁴ Os gwaradwyddir chwi oherwydd enw Crist, gwyn eich byd, o achos y mae Ysbryd y gogoniant, sef Ysbryd Duw, yn gorffwys arnoch.

¹⁴If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

¹⁵ Ni ddylai neb ohonoch ddioddef fel llofrudd neu leidr neu ddrwgweithredwr, neu fel dyn busneslyd.

¹⁵But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

¹⁶ Ond os bydd i rywun ddioddef fel Cristion, ni ddylai gywilyddio, ond gogoneddu Duw trwy'r enw hwn.

¹⁶Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

¹⁷ Oherwydd y mae'n bryd i'r farn ddechrau, a dechrau gyda theulu Duw. Ac os gyda ni yn gyntaf, beth fydd diwedd y rhai sy'n anufudd i Efengyl Duw?

¹⁷For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

¹⁸ Yng ngeiriau'r Ysgrythur: "Ac os o'r braidd yr achubir y cyfiawn, ple bydd yr annuwiol a'r pechadur yn sefyll?"

¹⁸And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

¹⁹ Am hynny, bydded i'r rhai sy'n dioddef yn �l ewyllys Duw ymddiried eu heneidiau i'r Creawdwr ffyddlon, gan wneud daioni.

¹⁹Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
