Exodus

9

1 Yna dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses, "Dos at Pharo a dywed wrtho, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD, Duw'r Hebreaid: Gollwng fy mhobl yn rhydd, er mwyn iddynt fy addoli.
1Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2 Oherwydd os gwrthodi, a pharhau i ddal dy afael ynddynt,
2For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
3 bydd llaw'r ARGLWYDD yn dwyn pla trwm ar dy anifeiliaid yn y maes, ar y meirch, yr asynnod, y camelod, y gwartheg a'r defaid.
3Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
4 Ond bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn gwahaniaethu rhwng anifeiliaid Israel a rhai'r Eifftiaid, fel na bydd farw dim sy'n eiddo i'r Israeliaid.
4And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.
5 Pennodd yr ARGLWYDD amser arbennig, a dweud, Yfory y bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn gwneud hyn yn y wlad.'"
5And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
6 A thrannoeth, fe'i gwnaeth; bu farw holl anifeiliaid yr Eifftiaid, ond ni bu farw yr un o anifeiliaid yr Israeliaid.
6And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
7 Pan anfonodd Pharo, gwelodd nad oedd yr un o anifeiliaid yr Israeliaid wedi marw. Ond yr oedd calon Pharo wedi caledu, ac nid oedd am ryddhau'r bobl.
7And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
8 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses ac Aaron, "Cymerwch ddyrneidiau o huddygl o ffwrn, a bydded i Moses ei daflu i'r awyr yng ngu373?ydd Pharo.
8And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9 Fe dry'n llwch mn dros holl dir yr Aifft, gan achosi cornwydydd poenus ar ddyn ac anifail trwy holl wlad yr Aifft."
9And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10 Felly cymerasant yr huddygl o'r ffwrn, a sefyll o flaen Pharo, a thaflodd Moses y lludw i'r awyr. Achosodd gornwydydd poenus ar ddyn ac anifail.
10And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
11 Ni allai'r swynwyr sefyll o flaen Moses o achos y cornwydydd, oherwydd yr oeddent arnynt hwythau yn ogystal 'r Eifftiaid.
11And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
12 Ond caledodd yr ARGLWYDD galon Pharo, ac ni wrandawodd ar Moses ac Aaron, fel yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi dweud wrth Moses.
12And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
13 Yna dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses, "Cod yn gynnar yn y bore a saf o flaen Pharo, a dywed wrtho, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD, Duw'r Hebreaid: Gollwng fy mhobl yn rhydd, er mwyn iddynt fy addoli;
13And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14 oherwydd y tro hwn yr wyf am anfon fy holl blu arnat ti ac ar dy weision a'th bobl, er mwyn i chwi wybod nad oes neb tebyg i mi yn yr holl ddaear.
14For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
15 Erbyn hyn, gallaswn fod wedi estyn allan fy llaw a'th daro di a'th bobl  haint, a'th dorri ymaith oddi ar y ddaear;
15For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
16 ond gadewais iti fyw er mwyn dangos iti fy nerth a chyhoeddi fy enw trwy'r holl ddaear.
16And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to show in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
17 Ond yr wyt ti'n dal i wrthsefyll fy mhobl, ac yn gwrthod eu rhyddhau.
17As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
18 Felly, tua'r adeg yma yfory, byddaf yn peri iddi fwrw cenllysg trwm, na welwyd ei debyg yn yr Aifft o ddydd ei sylfaenu hyd heddiw.
18Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19 Anfon rywun ar unwaith i gasglu ynghyd dy anifeiliaid a'r cyfan sydd gennyt yn y maes, oherwydd fe ddisgyn y cenllysg ar bob dyn ac anifail a fydd yn dal allan yn y maes heb ei ddwyn i loches, a byddant farw.'"
19Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20 Yr oedd y sawl o blith gweision Pharo oedd yn parchu gair yr ARGLWYDD yn brysio i ddod 'i weision a'i anifeiliaid i loches,
20He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21 ond gadawodd y sawl oedd yn diystyru gair yr ARGLWYDD ei weision a'i anifeiliaid allan yn y maes.
21And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
22 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses, "Estyn allan dy law tua'r nefoedd, i ddod chenllysg ar holl wlad yr Aifft, ar ddyn ac anifail ac ar bopeth sy'n tyfu yn y maes trwy wlad yr Aifft."
22And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
23 Estynnodd Moses ei wialen tua'r nefoedd, ac anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD daranau a chenllysg, a mellt yn gwibio i lawr i'r ddaear, a pheri iddi fwrw cenllysg ar dir yr Aifft.
23And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
24 Yr oedd cenllysg yn disgyn a mellt yn fflachio yn ei ganol; yr oedd y cenllysg yn drymach na dim a welwyd yn holl wlad yr Aifft er pan sylfaenwyd hi yn genedl.
24So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25 Trawodd y cenllysg bopeth oedd yn y maes, yn ddyn ac anifail, trwy holl wlad yr Aifft; curodd ar yr holl lysiau a drylliodd bob coeden.
25And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26 Yr unig fan lle nad oedd cenllysg oedd gwlad Gosen, lle'r oedd yr Israeliaid.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27 Anfonodd Pharo am Moses ac Aaron, a dweud wrthynt, "Yr wyf fi wedi pechu y tro hwn; yr ARGLWYDD sy'n iawn, a minnau a'm pobl ar fai.
27And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28 Gweddwch ar yr ARGLWYDD, oherwydd cawsom ddigon ar y taranau hyn a'r cenllysg; fe'ch rhyddhaf, ac nid oes rhaid i chwi aros yma'n hwy."
28Entreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
29 Dywedodd Moses wrtho, "Pan af allan o'r ddinas, estynnaf fy nwylo at yr ARGLWYDD; bydd diwedd ar y taranau, ac ni bydd rhagor o genllysg, er mwyn iti wybod mai eiddo'r ARGLWYDD yw'r ddaear.
29And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.
30 Ond gwn nad wyt ti na'th weision eto yn parchu'r ARGLWYDD Dduw."
30But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
31 (Yr oedd y llin a'r haidd wedi eu difetha, oherwydd bod yr haidd wedi hedeg a'r llin wedi hadu.
31And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
32 Ond ni ddifethwyd y gwenith na'r ceirch, am eu bod yn fwy diweddar yn blaguro.)
32But the wheat and the rye were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
33 Aeth Moses allan o'r ddinas, o u373?ydd Pharo, ac estynnodd ei ddwylo at yr ARGLWYDD; bu diwedd ar y taranau a'r cenllysg, ac ni ddaeth rhagor o law ar y ddaear.
33And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34 Ond pan welodd Pharo fod y glaw, y cenllysg a'r taranau wedi peidio, fe bechodd eto, a chaledodd ei galon, ef a'i weision.
34And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35 Felly caledwyd calon Pharo, ac ni ryddhaodd yr Israeliaid, fel yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi dweud trwy Moses.
35And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
