¹ 1 I'r Cyfarwyddwr: ar y Gittith. I Asaff.0 Canwch fawl i Dduw, ein nerth; bloeddiwch mewn gorfoledd i Dduw Jacob.

¹Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

² Rhowch g�n a chanu'r tympan, y delyn fwyn a'r nabl.

²Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

³ Canwch utgorn ar y lleuad newydd, ar y lleuad lawn, ar ddydd ein gu373?yl.

³Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

⁴ Oherwydd y mae hyn yn ddeddf yn Israel, yn rheol gan Dduw Jacob,

⁴For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

⁵ wedi ei roi'n orchymyn i Joseff pan ddaeth allan o wlad yr Aifft. Clywaf iaith nad wyf yn ei hadnabod.

⁵This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.

⁶ Ysgafnheais y baich ar dy ysgwydd, a rhyddhau dy ddwylo oddi wrth y basgedi.

⁶I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.

⁷ Pan waeddaist mewn cyfyngder, gwaredais di, ac atebais di yn ddirgel yn y taranau; profais di wrth ddyfroedd Meriba. Sela.

⁷Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

⁸ Gwrando, fy mhobl, a dygaf dystiolaeth yn dy erbyn. O na fyddit yn gwrando arnaf fi, Israel!

⁸Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;

⁹ Na fydded gennyt dduw estron, a phaid ag ymostwng i dduw dieithr.

⁹There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.

¹⁰ Myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw, a'th ddygodd i fyny o'r Aifft; agor dy geg, ac fe'i llanwaf.

¹⁰I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

¹¹ Ond ni wrandawodd fy mhobl ar fy llais, ac nid oedd Israel yn fodlon arnaf;

¹¹But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

¹² felly anfonais hwy ymaith yn eu cyndynrwydd i wneud fel yr oeddent yn dymuno.

¹²So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

¹³ "O na fyddai fy mhobl yn gwrando arnaf, ac na fyddai Israel yn rhodio yn fy ffyrdd!

¹³Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

¹⁴ Byddwn ar fyrder yn darostwng eu gelynion, ac yn troi fy llaw yn erbyn eu gwrthwynebwyr."

¹⁴I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

¹⁵ Byddai'r rhai sy'n cas�u'r ARGLWYDD yn ymgreinio o'i flaen, a dyna eu tynged am byth.

¹⁵The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

¹⁶ Byddwn yn dy fwydo �'r u375?d gorau, ac yn dy ddigoni � m�l o'r graig.

¹⁶He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
