Young`s Literal Translation

Deuteronomy

13

1 Os cyfyd yn eich plith broffwyd neu un yn cael breuddwydion, a rhoi ichwi arwydd neu argoel,
1`When there ariseth in your midst a prophet, or a dreamer of a dream, and he hath given unto thee a sign or wonder,
2 a hynny'n digwydd fel y dywedodd wrthych, ac yntau wedyn yn eich annog i fynd ac addoli duwiau estron nad ydych yn eu hadnabod,
2and the sign and the wonder hath come which he hath spoken of unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods (which thou hast not known), and serve them,
3 nid ydych i wrando ar eiriau'r proffwyd neu'r breuddwydiwr hwnnw, oherwydd eich profi chwi y mae'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw i gael gwybod a ydych yn ei garu 'ch holl galon ac 'ch holl enaid.
3thou dost not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that dreamer of the dream, for Jehovah your God is trying you, to know whether ye are loving Jehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul;
4 Yr ydych i ddilyn yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw a'i ofni, gan gadw ei orchmynion a gwrando ar ei lais, a'i wasanaethu ef a glynu wrtho.
4after Jehovah your God ye walk, and Him ye fear, and His commands ye keep, and to His voice ye hearken, and Him ye serve, and to Him ye cleave.
5 Rhaid rhoi'r proffwyd neu'r breu-ddwydiwr hwnnw i farwolaeth am iddo geisio'ch troi oddi ar y llwybr y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw ichwi ei ddilyn, trwy lefaru gwrthryfel yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw, a ddaeth chwi allan o wlad yr Aifft a'ch gwaredu o du375? caethiwed. Rhaid ichwi ddileu'r drwg o'ch mysg.
5`And that prophet, or that dreamer of the dream, is put to death, for he hath spoken apostacy against Jehovah your God (who is bringing you out of the land of Egypt, and hath ransomed you out of a house of servants), to drive you out of the way in which Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee to walk, and thou hast put away the evil thing from thy midst.
6 Os bydd dy frawd agosaf, neu dy fab, neu dy ferch, neu wraig dy fynwes, neu dy gyfaill mynwesol, yn ceisio dy ddenu'n llechwraidd a'th annog i fynd ac addoli duwiau estron nad wyt ti na'th hynafiaid wedi eu hadnabod,
6`When thy brother — son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend who [is] as thine own soul — doth move thee, in secret, saying, Let us go and serve other gods — (which thou hast not known, thou and thy fathers,
7 o blith duwiau'r cenhedloedd o'th amgylch, mewn un cwr o'r wlad neu'r llall, yn agos neu ymhell,
7of the gods of the peoples who [are] round about you, who are near unto thee, or who are far off from thee, from the end of the earth even unto the end of the earth) —
8 paid chydsynio ag ef, na gwrando arno. Paid thosturio wrtho, na'i arbed, na'i gelu.
8thou dost not consent to him, nor hearken unto him, nor doth thine eye have pity on him, nor dost thou spare, nor dost thou cover him over.
9 Yn hytrach rhaid iti ei ladd; dy law di fydd y gyntaf i'w ddienyddio, a dwylo pawb o'r bobl wedyn.
9`But thou dost surely kill him; thy hand is on him, in the first place, to put him to death, and the hand of all the people last;
10 Llabyddia ef yn gelain  cherrig, oherwydd fe geisiodd dy droi oddi wrth yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw, a ddaeth  thi allan o wlad yr Aifft, o du375? caethiwed;
10and thou hast stoned him with stones, and he hath died, for he hath sought to drive thee away from Jehovah thy God, who is bringing thee out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants;
11 yna bydd Israel gyfan yn clywed ac yn ofni, ac ni fyddant yn gwneud y fath ddrygioni hwn yn eich plith byth eto.
11and all Israel do hear and fear, and add not to do like this evil thing in thy midst.
12 Pan glywch am un o'r trefi, a gewch gan yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw i fyw ynddynt,
12`When thou hearest, in one of thy cities which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee to dwell there, [one] saying,
13 fod dihirod o'ch plith wedi codi a gyrru trigolion y ddinas ar gyfeiliorn trwy eu hannog i fynd ac addoli duwiau estron nad ydych wedi eu hadnabod,
13Men, sons of worthlessness, have gone out of thy midst, and they force away the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known —
14 yna yr ydych i ymofyn a chwilio a holi'n fanwl; os yw'n wir ac yn sicr fod y peth ffiaidd hwn wedi ei wneud yn eich mysg,
14and thou hast enquired, and searched, and asked diligently, and lo, truth; the thing is established; this abomination hath been done in thy midst:
15 yr ydych i daro trigolion y dref honno 'r cleddyf. Difrodwch hi'n llwyr 'r cleddyf, gyda phopeth sydd ynddi, gan gynnwys y gwartheg.
15`Thou dost surely smite the inhabitants of that city by the mouth of the sword; devoting it, and all that [is] in it, even its cattle, by the mouth of the sword;
16 Casglwch y cwbl o'i hysbail i ganol maes y dref, a llosgwch y dref a'i hysbail thn, yn aberth llwyr i'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw, a bydd yn aros yn garnedd am byth heb ei hailadeiladu.
16and all its spoil thou dost gather unto the midst of its broad place, and hast burned with fire the city and all its spoil completely, before Jehovah thy God, and it hath been a heap age-during, it is not built any more;
17 Paid dal dy afael mewn dim sydd i'w ddifrodi, er mwyn i'r ARGLWYDD droi oddi wrth angerdd ei ddig a dangos trugaredd tuag atat; yna, wrth drugarhau, bydd yn eich lluosogi fel y tyngodd wrth eich hynafiaid,
17and there doth not cleave to thy hand any of the devoted thing, so that Jehovah doth turn back from the fierceness of His anger, and hath given to thee mercies, and loved thee, and multiplied thee, as He hath sworn to thy fathers,
18 os byddwch chwi'n gwrando ar lais yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw trwy gadw'r holl orchmynion a roddais ichwi heddiw, a gwneud yr hyn sy'n iawn yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw.
18when thou dost hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, to keep all his commands which I am commanding thee to-day, to do that which [is] right in the eyes of Jehovah thy God.
