Ezra

3

1 Pan ddaeth y seithfed mis, a'r Israeliaid erbyn hyn yn eu trefi, ymgasglodd y bobl fel un gu373?r i Jerwsalem.
1And the seventh month cometh, and the sons of Israel [are] in the cities, and the people are gathered, as one men, unto Jerusalem.
2 A dechreuodd Jesua fab Josadac a'i gyd-offeiriaid, a Sorobabel fab Salathiel a'i frodyr, ailadeiladu allor Duw Israel er mwyn aberthu poethoffrymau arni, fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig yng nghyfraith Moses gu373?r Duw.
2And rise doth Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and they build the altar of the God of Israel, to cause to ascend upon it burnt-offerings, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.
3 Er eu bod yn ofni'r bobloedd oddi amgylch, codasant yr allor yn ei lle, ac aberthu arni boethoffrymau i'r ARGLWYDD fore a hwyr.
3And they establish the altar on its bases, because of the fear upon them of the peoples of the lands, and he causeth burnt-offerings to ascend upon it to Jehovah, burnt-offerings for the morning and for the evening.
4 Yr oeddent yn dathlu gu373?yl y Pebyll fel yr oedd yn ysgrifenedig, ac yn aberthu'n ddyddiol y nifer priodol o boethoffrymau ar gyfer pob dydd.
4And they make the feast of the booths as it is written, and the burnt-offering of the day daily in number according to the ordinance, the matter of a day in its day;
5 Ar l hyn yr oeddent yn aberthu'r poethoffrymau cyson, a'r rhai ar gyfer y newydd-loerau a holl wyliau penodedig yr ARGLWYDD, a'r holl aberthau a roddid yn wirfoddol i'r ARGLWYDD.
5and after this a continual burnt-offering, and for new moons, and for all appointed seasons of Jehovah that are sanctified; and for every one who is willingly offering a willing-offering to Jehovah.
6 Dechreusant aberthu poethoffrymau i'r ARGLWYDD o ddydd cyntaf y seithfed mis, er nad oedd sylfaen teml yr ARGLWYDD wedi ei gosod.
6From the first day of the seventh month they have begun to cause burnt-offerings to ascend to Jehovah, and the temple of Jehovah hath not been founded,
7 Yna rhoesant arian i'r seiri meini a'r seiri coed, a bwyd a diod ac olew i'r Sidoniaid a'r Tyriaid i ddod chedrwydd dros y mr o Lebanon i Jopa trwy ganiatd Cyrus brenin Persia.
7and they give money to hewers and to artificers, and food, and drink, and oil to Zidonians and to Tyrians, to bring in cedar-trees from Lebanon unto the sea of Joppa, according to the permission of Cyrus king of Persia concerning them.
8 Yn ail fis yr ail flwyddyn wedi iddynt ddychwelyd i du375? Dduw yn Jerwsalem, dechreuodd Sorobabel fab Salathiel a Jesua fab Josadac ar y gwaith gyda'r gweddill o'u brodyr, a'r offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid, a phawb oedd wedi dychwelyd o'r gaethglud i Jerwsalem; a phenodwyd y Lefiaid oedd dros ugain mlwydd oed i arolygu gwaith tu375?'r ARGLWYDD.
8And in the second year of their coming in unto the house of God, to Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all those coming from the captivity to Jerusalem, and they appoint the Levites from a son of twenty years and upward, to overlook the work of the house of Jehovah.
9 Jesua a'i feibion a'i frodyr oedd yn gyfrifol am arolygu'r gweithwyr yn nhu375? Dduw, a chyda hwy yr oedd y Jwdead Cadmiel a'i feibion, a meibion Henadad a'u meibion hwythau, a'u brodyr y Lefiaid.
9And Jeshua standeth, [and] his sons, and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, sons of Judah together, to overlook those doing the work in the house of God; the sons of Henadad, [and] their sons and their brethren the Levites.
10 Wedi i'r adeiladwyr osod sylfaen teml yr ARGLWYDD, safodd yr offeiriaid yn eu gwisgoedd gyda thrwmpedau, a'r Lefiaid, meibion Asaff, gyda symbalau i foliannu'r ARGLWYDD yn l gorchymyn Dafydd brenin Israel.
10And those building have founded the temple of Jehovah, and they appoint the priests, clothed, with trumpets, and the Levites, sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise Jehovah, by means of [the instruments of] David king of Israel.
11 Yr oeddent yn ateb ei gilydd mewn mawl a diolch i'r ARGLWYDD: "Y mae ef yn dda, a'i gariad at Israel yn parhau byth." Yna bloeddiodd yr holl bobl yn uchel mewn moliant i'r ARGLWYDD am fod sylfaen tu375?'r ARGLWYDD wedi ei gosod.
11And they respond in praising and in giving thanks to Jehovah, for good, for to the age His kindness [is] over Israel, and all the people have shouted — a great shout — in giving praise to Jehovah, because the house of Jehovah hath been founded.
12 Yr oedd llawer o'r offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid a'r pennau-teuluoedd, a oedd yn ddigon hen i fod wedi gweld y tu375? cyntaf, yn wylo'n hidl pan welsant osod sylfaen y tu375? hwn; ond yr oedd llawer yn bloeddio'n uchel o lawenydd.
12And many of the priests, and the Levites, and the heads of the fathers, the aged men who had seen the first house — in this house being founded before their eyes — are weeping with a loud voice, and many with a shout, in joy, lifting up the voice;
13 Ac ni fedrai neb wahaniaethu rhwng su373?n y llawenydd a su373?n y bobl yn wylo, am fod y bobl yn gweiddi mor uchel nes bod y su373?n i'w glywed o bell.
13and the people are not discerning the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people, for the people are shouting — a great shout — and the noise hath been heard unto a distance.
