Isaiah

23

1 Yr oracl am Tyrus: Udwch, longau Tarsis, oherwydd anrheithiwyd y porthladd; wrth groesi o dir Chittim fe welir hynny.
1The Burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, For it hath been destroyed, Without house, without entrance, From the land of Chittim it was revealed to them.
2 Wylwch, drigolion y glannau, masnachwyr Sidon, sy'n tramwyo'r mr,
2Be silent, ye inhabitants of the isle, Trader of Zidon, passing the sea, they filled thee.
3 a'th weision ar y dyfroedd mawrion; cnwd Sihor, cynhaeaf y Neil, oedd dy gyllid, a masnachwr y cenhedloedd oeddit ti.
3And in many waters [is] the seed of Sihor, The harvest of the brook [is] her increase, And she is a mart of nations.
4 Cywilydd arnat, Sidon, canys llefarodd y mr, caer y mr, a dweud, "Nid wyf mewn gwewyr nac yn esgor, nac yn magu llanciau nac yn meithrin morynion."
4Be ashamed, O Zidon; for the sea spake, The strength of the sea, saying: `I have not been pained, nor have I brought forth, Nor have I nourished young men, [nor] brought up virgins.`
5 Pan ddaw'r newydd i'r Aifft, gwingant wrth glywed am Tyrus.
5As [at] the report of Egypt they are pained, So [at] the report of Tyre.
6 Ewch drosodd i Tarsis; udwch, drigolion y glannau.
6Pass over to Tarshish, howl, ye inhabitants of the isle,
7 Ai hon yw eich dinas brysur, sydd 'i hanes mor hen, a'i theithio wedi mynd hi i ymsefydlu mor bell?
7Is this your exulting one? From the days of old [is] her antiquity, Carry her do her own feet afar off to sojourn.
8 Pwy a gynlluniodd hyn yn erbyn Tyrus goronog, oedd 'i masnachwyr yn dywysogion a'i marchnatwyr yn fawrion y ddaear?
8Who hath counselled this against Tyre, The crowning one, whose traders [are] princes, Her merchants the honoured of earth?`
9 ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd a'i cynlluniodd, i ddifwyno pob gogoniant balch, i ddiraddio holl fawrion y ddaear.
9Jehovah of Hosts hath counselled it, To pollute the excellency of all beauty, To make light all the honoured of earth.
10 Dos trwy dy dir, fel y gwna'r Neil, ferch Tarsis; nid oes atalfa mwyach.
10Pass through thy land as a brook, Daughter of Tarshish, there is no more a girdle.
11 Estynnodd yr ARGLWYDD ei law dros y mr, ysgydwodd deyrnasoedd; rhoes orchymyn ynghylch Canaan, i ddinistrio ei cheyrydd.
11His hand He hath stretched out over the sea, He hath caused kingdoms to tremble, Jehovah hath charged concerning the merchant one, To destroy her strong places.
12 A dywedodd, "Ni chei ymffrostio ddim mwy, ti forwyn a orthrymwyd, ferch Sidon; cod, dos drosodd i Chittim, ond ni chei orffwys yno chwaith."
12And He saith, `Thou dost not add any more to exult, O oppressed one, virgin daughter of Zidon, To Chittim arise, pass over, Even there — there is no rest for thee.`
13 Edrych ar wlad y Caldeaid. Y rhain nid yr Asyriaid yw'r bobl a bennodd Tyrus i'r anifeiliaid gwylltion. Hwy a gododd warchae, a dryllio'i phalasau, a'i thynnu i lawr yn adfeilion.
13Lo, the land of the Chaldeans — this people was not, Asshur founded it for the Ziim, They raised its watch-towers, They lifted up her palaces, — He hath appointed her for a ruin!
14 Udwch, chwi longau Tarsis, oherwydd anrheithiwyd eich amddiffynfa.
14Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, For your strength hath been destroyed.
15 Yn yr amser hwnnw fe anghofir Tyrus am ddeng mlynedd a thrigain, sef hyd einioes un brenin; ac ymhen deng mlynedd a thrigain bydd cyflwr Tyrus fel y butain yn y gn:
15And it hath come to pass, in that day, That forgotten is Tyre seventy years, According to the days of one king. At the end of seventy years there is to Tyre as the song of the harlot.
16 "Cymer dy delyn, rhodianna trwy'r ddinas, di butain a anghofiwyd; tyn yn dyner ar y tannau, cn dy ganeuon yn aml, fel y cofir di drachefn."
16Take a harp, go round the city, O forgotten harlot, play well, Multiply song that thou mayest be remembered.
17 Ar ddiwedd y deng mlynedd a thrigain, bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn ymweld eto Tyrus; fe hithau'n l at ei masnach a'i llogi ei hun i bob teyrnas ar y ddaear.
17And it hath come to pass, At the end of seventy years Jehovah inspecteth Tyre, And she hath repented of her gift, That she committed fornication With all kingdoms of the earth on the face of the ground.
18 Ond bydd ei helw a'i henillion wedi eu neilltuo i'r ARGLWYDD; ni chronnir hwy na'u cuddio, ond bydd ei masnach yn darparu llawnder o fwyd a gwisgoedd hardd i'r rhai sy'n byw yng ngu373?ydd yr ARGLWYDD.
18And her merchandise and her gift have been holy to Jehovah, Not treasured up nor stored, For to those sitting before Jehovah is her merchandise, To eat to satiety, and for a lasting covering!
