1 Ar y dydd cyntaf o'r wythnos, ar doriad gwawr, daethant at y bedd gan ddwyn y peraroglau yr oeddent wedi eu paratoi.
1And on the first of the sabbaths, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bearing the spices they made ready, and certain [others] with them,
2 Cawsant y maen wedi ei dreiglo i ffwrdd oddi wrth y bedd,
2and they found the stone having been rolled away from the tomb,
3 ond pan aethant i mewn ni chawsant gorff yr Arglwydd Iesu.
3and having gone in, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 Yna, a hwythau mewn penbleth ynglu375?n hyn, dyma ddau ddyn yn ymddangos iddynt mewn gwisgoedd llachar.
4And it came to pass, while they are perplexed about this, that lo, two men stood by them in glittering apparel,
5 Daeth ofn arnynt, a phlygasant eu hwynebau tua'r ddaear. Meddai'r dynion wrthynt, "Pam yr ydych yn ceisio ymhlith y meirw yr hwn sy'n fyw?
5and on their having become afraid, and having inclined the face to the earth, they said to them, `Why do ye seek the living with the dead?
6 Nid yw ef yma; y mae wedi ei gyfodi. Cofiwch fel y llefarodd wrthych tra oedd eto yng Ngalilea,
6he is not here, but was raised; remember how he spake to you, being yet in Galilee,
7 gan ddweud ei bod yn rhaid i Fab y Dyn gael ei draddodi i ddwylo pechaduriaid, a'i groeshoelio, a'r trydydd dydd atgyfodi."
7saying — It behoveth the Son of Man to be delivered up to the hands of sinful men, and to be crucified, and the third day to rise again.`
8 A daeth ei eiriau ef i'w cof.
8And they remembered his sayings,
9 Dychwelsant o'r bedd, ac adrodd yr holl bethau hyn wrth yr un ar ddeg ac wrth y lleill i gyd.
9and having turned back from the tomb told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 Mair Magdalen a Joanna a Mair mam Iago oedd y gwragedd hyn; a'r un pethau a ddywedodd y gwragedd eraill hefyd, oedd gyda hwy, wrth yr apostolion.
10And it was the Magdalene Mary, and Joanna, and Mary of James, and the other women with them, who told unto the apostles these things,
11 Ond i'w tyb hwy, lol oedd yr hanesion hyn, a gwrthodasant gredu'r gwragedd.
11and their sayings appeared before them as idle talk, and they were not believing them.
12 Ond cododd Pedr a rhedeg at y bedd; plygodd i edrych, ac ni welodd ddim ond y llieiniau. Ac aeth ymaith, gan ryfeddu wrtho'i hun at yr hyn oedd wedi digwydd.
12And Peter having risen, did run to the tomb, and having stooped down he seeth the linen clothes lying alone, and he went away to his own home, wondering at that which was come to pass.
13 Yn awr, yr un dydd, yr oedd dau ohonynt ar eu ffordd i bentref, oddeutu un cilomedr ar ddeg o Jerwsalem, o'r enw Emaus.
13And, lo, two of them were going on during that day to a village, distant sixty furlongs from Jerusalem, the name of which [is] Emmaus,
14 Yr oeddent yn ymddiddan 'i gilydd am yr holl ddigwyddiadau hyn.
14and they were conversing with one another about all these things that have happened.
15 Yn ystod yr ymddiddan a'r trafod, nesaodd Iesu ei hun atynt a dechrau cerdded gyda hwy,
15And it came to pass in their conversing and reasoning together, that Jesus himself, having come nigh, was going on with them,
16 ond rhwystrwyd eu llygaid rhag ei adnabod ef.
16and their eyes were holden so as not to know him,
17 Meddai wrthynt, "Beth yw'r sylwadau hyn yr ydych yn eu cyfnewid wrth gerdded?" Safasant hwy, a'u digalondid yn eu hwynebau.
17and he said unto them, `What [are] these words that ye exchange with one another, walking, and ye are sad?`
18 Atebodd yr un o'r enw Cleopas, "Rhaid mai ti yw'r unig ymwelydd Jerwsalem nad yw'n gwybod am y pethau sydd wedi digwydd yno y dyddiau diwethaf hyn."
18And the one, whose name was Cleopas, answering, said unto him, `Art thou alone such a stranger in Jerusalem, that thou hast not known the things that came to pass in it in these days?`
19 "Pa bethau?" meddai wrthynt. Atebasant hwythau, "Y pethau sydd wedi digwydd i Iesu o Nasareth, dyn oedd yn broffwyd nerthol ei weithredoedd a'i eiriau yng ngu373?ydd Duw a'r holl bobl.
19And he said to them, `What things?` And they said to him, `The things about Jesus of Nazareth, who became a man — a prophet — powerful in deed and word, before God and all the people,
20 Traddododd ein prif offeiriaid ac aelodau ein Cyngor ef i'w ddedfrydu i farwolaeth, ac fe'i croeshoeliasant.
20how also the chief priests and our rulers did deliver him up to a judgment of death, and crucified him;
21 Ein gobaith ni oedd mai ef oedd yr un oedd yn mynd i brynu Israel i ryddid, ond at hyn oll, heddiw yw'r trydydd dydd er pan ddigwyddodd y pethau hyn.
21and we were hoping that he it is who is about to redeem Israel, and also with all these things, this third day is passing to-day, since these things happened.
22 Er hynny, fe'n syfrdanwyd gan rai gwragedd o'n plith; aethant yn y bore bach at y bedd,
22`And certain women of ours also astonished us, coming early to the tomb,
23 a methasant gael ei gorff, ond dychwelsant gan daeru eu bod wedi gweld angylion yn ymddangos, a bod y rheini'n dweud ei fod ef yn fyw.
23and not having found his body, they came, saying also to have seen an apparition of messengers, who say he is alive,
24 Aeth rhai o'n cwmni allan at y bedd, a'i gael yn union fel y dywedodd y gwragedd, ond ni welsant mohono ef."
24and certain of those with us went away unto the tomb, and found as even the women said, and him they saw not.`
25 Meddai Iesu wrthynt, "Mor ddiddeall ydych, a mor araf yw eich calonnau i gredu'r cwbl a lefarodd y proffwydi!
25And he said unto them, `O inconsiderate and slow in heart, to believe on all that the prophets spake!
26 Onid oedd yn rhaid i'r Meseia ddioddef y pethau hyn, a mynd i mewn i'w ogoniant?"
26Was it not behoving the Christ these things to suffer, and to enter into his glory?`
27 A chan ddechrau gyda Moses a'r holl broffwydi, dehonglodd iddynt y pethau a ysgrifennwyd amdano ef ei hun yn yr holl Ysgrythurau.
27and having begun from Moses, and from all the prophets, he was expounding to them in all the Writings the things about himself.
28 Wedi iddynt nesu at y pentref yr oeddent ar eu ffordd iddo, cymerodd ef arno ei fod yn mynd ymhellach.
28And they came nigh to the village whither they were going, and he made an appearance of going on further,
29 Ond meddent wrtho, gan bwyso arno, "Aros gyda ni, oherwydd y mae hi'n nosi, a'r dydd yn dirwyn i ben." Yna aeth i mewn i aros gyda hwy.
29and they constrained him, saying, `Remain with us, for it is toward evening,` and the day did decline, and he went in to remain with them.
30 Wedi cymryd ei le wrth y bwrdd gyda hwy, cymerodd y bara a bendithio, a'i dorri a'i roi iddynt.
30And it came to pass, in his reclining (at meat) with them, having taken the bread, he blessed, and having broken, he was giving to them,
31 Agorwyd eu llygaid hwy, ac adnabuasant ef. A diflannodd ef o'u golwg.
31and their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he became unseen by them.
32 Meddent wrth ei gilydd, "Onid oedd ein calonnau ar dn ynom wrth iddo siarad ni ar y ffordd, pan oedd yn egluro'r Ysgrythurau inni?"
32And they said one to another, `Was not our heart burning within us, as he was speaking to us in the way, and as he was opening up to us the Writings?`
33 Codasant ar unwaith a dychwelyd i Jerwsalem. Cawsant yr un ar ddeg a'u dilynwyr wedi ymgynnull ynghyd
33And they, having risen up the same hour, turned back to Jerusalem, and found gathered together the eleven, and those with them,
34 ac yn dweud fod yr Arglwydd yn wir wedi ei gyfodi, ac wedi ymddangos i Simon.
34saying — `The Lord was raised indeed, and was seen by Simon;`
35 Adroddasant hwythau yr hanes am eu taith, ac fel yr oeddent wedi ei adnabod ef ar doriad y bara.
35and they were telling the things in the way, and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread,
36 Wrth iddynt ddweud hyn, ym-ddangosodd ef yn eu plith, ac meddai wrthynt, "Tangnefedd i chwi."
36and as they are speaking these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith to them, `Peace — to you;`
37 Yn eu dychryn a'u hofn, yr oeddent yn tybied eu bod yn gweld ysbryd.
37and being amazed, and becoming affrighted, they were thinking themselves to see a spirit.
38 Gofynnodd iddynt, "Pam yr ydych wedi cynhyrfu? Pam y mae amheuon yn codi yn eich meddyliau?
38And he said to them, `Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do reasonings come up in your hearts?
39 Gwelwch fy nwylo a'm traed; myfi yw, myfi fy hun. Cyffyrddwch mi a gwelwch, oherwydd nid oes gan ysbryd gnawd ac esgyrn fel y canfyddwch fod gennyf fi."
39see my hands and my feet, that I am he; handle me and see, because a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me having.`
40 Wrth ddweud hyn dangosodd iddynt ei ddwylo a'i draed.
40And having said this, he shewed to them the hands and the feet,
41 A chan eu bod yn eu llawenydd yn dal i wrthod credu ac yn rhyfeddu, meddai wrthynt, "A oes gennych rywbeth i'w fwyta yma?"
41and while they are not believing from the joy, and wondering, he said to them, `Have ye anything here to eat?`
42 Rhoesant iddo ddarn o bysgodyn wedi ei rostio.
42and they gave to him part of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb,
43 Cymerodd ef, a bwyta yn eu gu373?ydd.
43and having taken, he did eat before them,
44 Dywedodd wrthynt, "Dyma ystyr fy ngeiriau a leferais wrthych pan oeddwn eto gyda chwi: ei bod yn rhaid i bob peth gael ei gyflawni sy'n ysgrifenedig amdanaf yng Nghyfraith Moses a'r proffwydi a'r salmau."
44and he said to them, `These [are] the words that I spake unto you, being yet with you, that it behoveth to be fulfilled all the things that are written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, about me.`
45 Yna agorodd eu meddyliau, iddynt ddeall yr Ysgrythurau.
45Then opened he up their understanding to understand the Writings,
46 Meddai wrthynt, "Fel hyn y mae'n ysgrifenedig: fod y Meseia i ddioddef, ac i atgyfodi oddi wrth y meirw ar y trydydd dydd,
46and he said to them — `Thus it hath been written, and thus it was behoving the Christ to suffer, and to rise out of the dead the third day,
47 a bod edifeirwch, yn foddion maddeuant pechodau, i'w gyhoeddi yn ei enw ef i'r holl genhedloedd, gan ddechrau yn Jerwsalem.
47and reformation and remission of sins to be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem:
48 Chwi yw'r tystion i'r pethau hyn.
48and ye — ye are witnesses of these things.
49 Ac yn awr yr wyf fi'n anfon arnoch yr hyn a addawodd fy Nhad; chwithau, arhoswch yn y ddinas nes eich gwisgo chwi oddi uchod nerth."
49`And, lo, I do send the promise of my Father upon you, but ye — abide ye in the city of Jerusalem till ye be clothed with power from on high.`
50 Aeth hwy allan i gyffiniau Bethania. Yna cododd ei ddwylo a'u bendithio.
50And he led them forth without — unto Bethany, and having lifted up his hands he did bless them,
51 Wrth iddo'u bendithio, fe ymadawodd hwy ac fe'i dygwyd i fyny i'r nef.
51and it came to pass, in his blessing them, he was parted from them, and was borne up to the heaven;
52 Wedi iddynt ei addoli ar eu gliniau, dychwelsant yn llawen iawn i Jerwsalem.
52and they, having bowed before him, did turn back to Jerusalem with great joy,
53 Ac yr oeddent yn y deml yn ddi-baid, yn bendithio Duw.
53and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
