1 Dechreuodd ddysgu eto ar lan y mr. A daeth tyrfa mor fawr ynghyd ato nes iddo fynd ac eistedd mewn cwch ar y mr; ac yr oedd yr holl dyrfa ar y tir wrth ymyl y mr.
1And again he began to teach by the sea, and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he, having gone into the boat, sat in the sea, and all the multitude was near the sea, on the land,
2 Yr oedd yn dysgu llawer iddynt ar ddamhegion, ac wrth eu dysgu meddai:
2and he taught them many things in similes, and he said to them in his teaching:
3 "Gwrandewch! Aeth heuwr allan i hau.
3`Hearken, lo, the sower went forth to sow;
4 Ac wrth iddo hau, syrthiodd peth had ar hyd y llwybr, a daeth yr adar a'i fwyta.
4and it came to pass, in the sowing, some fell by the way, and the fowls of the heaven did come and devour it;
5 Syrthiodd peth arall ar dir creigiog, lle ni chafodd fawr o bridd, a thyfodd yn gyflym am nad oedd iddo ddyfnder daear;
5and other fell upon the rocky ground, where it had not much earth, and immediately it sprang forth, because of not having depth of earth,
6 a phan gododd yr haul fe'i llosgwyd, ac am nad oedd iddo wreiddyn fe wywodd.
6and the sun having risen, it was scorched, and because of not having root it did wither;
7 Syrthiodd peth arall ymhlith y drain, a thyfodd y drain a'i dagu, ac ni roddodd ffrwyth.
7and other fell toward the thorns, and the thorns did come up, and choke it, and fruit it gave not;
8 A syrthiodd hadau eraill ar dir da, a chan dyfu a chynyddu yr oeddent yn ffrwytho ac yn cnydio hyd ddeg ar hugain a hyd drigain a hyd ganwaith cymaint."
8and other fell to the good ground, and was giving fruit, coming up and increasing, and it bare, one thirty-fold, and one sixty, and one an hundred.`
9 Ac meddai, "Y sawl sydd chlustiau ganddo i wrando, gwrandawed."
9And he said to them, `He who is having ears to hear — let him hear.`
10 Pan oedd wrtho'i hun, dechreuodd y rhai oedd o'i gwmpas gyda'r Deuddeg ei holi am y damhegion.
10And when he was alone, those about him, with the twelve, did ask him of the simile,
11 Ac meddai wrthynt, "I chwi y mae cyfrinach teyrnas Dduw wedi ei rhoi; ond i'r rheini sydd oddi allan y mae popeth ar ddamhegion,
11and he said to them, `To you it hath been given to know the secret of the reign of God, but to those who are without, in similes are all the things done;
12 fel 'er edrych ac edrych, na welant, ac er clywed a chlywed, na ddeallant, rhag iddynt droi'n l a derbyn maddeuant.'"
12that seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, lest they may turn, and the sins may be forgiven them.`
13 Ac meddai wrthynt, "Onid ydych yn deall y ddameg hon? Sut ynteu yr ydych yn mynd i ddeall yr holl ddamhegion?
13And he saith to them, `Have ye not known this simile? and how shall ye know all the similes?
14 Y mae'r heuwr yn hau y gair.
14He who is sowing doth sow the word;
15 Dyma'r rhai ar hyd y llwybr lle'r heuir y gair: cyn gynted ag y clywant, daw Satan ar unwaith a chipio'r gair sydd wedi ei hau ynddynt.
15and these are they by the way where the word is sown: and whenever they may hear, immediately cometh the Adversary, and he taketh away the word that hath been sown in their hearts.
16 A dyma'r rhai sy'n derbyn yr had ar dir creigiog: pan glywant hwy'r gair, derbyniant ef ar eu hunion yn llawen;
16`And these are they, in like manner, who on the rocky ground are sown: who, whenever they may hear the word, immediately with joy do receive it,
17 ond nid oes ganddynt wreiddyn ynddynt eu hunain, a thros dro y maent yn para. Yna pan ddaw gorthrymder neu erlid o achos y gair, fe gwympant ar unwaith.
17and have not root in themselves, but are temporary; afterward tribulation or persecution having come because of the word, immediately they are stumbled.
18 Ac y mae eraill sy'n derbyn yr had ymhlith y drain: dyma'r rhai sydd wedi clywed y gair,
18`And these are they who toward the thorns are sown: these are they who are hearing the word,
19 ond y mae gofalon y byd hwn a hudoliaeth golud a chwantau am bopeth o'r fath yn dod i mewn ac yn tagu'r gair, ac y mae'n mynd yn ddiffrwyth.
19and the anxieties of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, and the desires concerning the other things, entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
20 A dyma'r rheini a dderbyniodd yr had ar dir da: y maent hwy'n clywed y gair ac yn ei groesawu, ac yn dwyn ffrwyth hyd ddeg ar hugain a hyd drigain a hyd ganwaith cymaint."
20`And these are they who on the good ground have been sown: who do hear the word, and receive, and do bear fruit, one thirty-fold, and one sixty, and one an hundred.`
21 Dywedodd wrthynt, "A fydd rhywun yn dod channwyll i'w dodi dan lestr neu dan wely? Onid yn hytrach i'w dodi ar ganhwyllbren?
21And he said to them, `Doth the lamp come that under the measure it may be put, or under the couch — not that it may be put on the lamp-stand?
22 Oherwydd nid oes dim yn guddiedig ond i gael ei amlygu, ac ni bu dim dan gl ond i ddod i'r amlwg.
22for there is not anything hid that may not be manifested, nor was anything kept hid but that it may come to light.
23 Os oes gan rywun glustiau i wrando, gwrandawed."
23If any hath ears to hear — let him hear.`
24 Dywedodd wrthynt hefyd, "Ystyriwch yr hyn a glywch. 'r mesur y rhowch y rhoir i chwithau, a rhagor a roir ichwi.
24And he said to them, `Take heed what ye hear; in what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you; and to you who hear it shall be added;
25 Oherwydd i'r sawl y mae ganddo y rhoir, ac oddi ar y sawl nad oes ganddo y cymerir hyd yn oed hynny sydd ganddo."
25for whoever may have, there shall be given to him, and whoever hath not, also that which he hath shall be taken from him.`
26 Ac meddai, "Fel hyn y mae teyrnas Dduw: bydd dyn yn bwrw'r had ar y ddaear
26And he said, `Thus is the reign of God: as if a man may cast the seed on the earth,
27 ac yna'n cysgu'r nos a chodi'r dydd, a'r had yn egino ac yn tyfu mewn modd nas gu373?yr ef.
27and may sleep, and may rise night and day, and the seed spring up and grow, he hath not known how;
28 Ohoni ei hun y mae'r ddaear yn dwyn ffrwyth, eginyn yn gyntaf, yna tywysen, yna u375?d llawn yn y dywysen.
28for of itself doth the earth bear fruit, first a blade, afterwards an ear, afterwards full corn in the ear;
29 A phan fydd y cnwd wedi aeddfedu, y mae'n bwrw iddi ar unwaith 'r cryman, gan fod y cynhaeaf wedi dod."
29and whenever the fruit may yield itself, immediately he doth send forth the sickle, because the harvest hath come.`
30 Meddai eto, "Pa fodd y cyffelybwn deyrnas Dduw, neu ar ba ddameg y cyflwynwn hi?
30And he said, `To what may we liken the reign of God, or in what simile may we compare it?
31 Y mae'n debyg i hedyn mwstard; pan heuir ef ar y ddaear, hwn yw'r lleiaf o'r holl hadau sydd ar y ddaear,
31As a grain of mustard, which, whenever it may be sown on the earth, is less than any of the seeds that are on the earth;
32 ond wedi ei hau, y mae'n tyfu ac yn mynd yn fwy na'r holl lysiau, ac yn dwyn canghennau mor fawr nes bod adar yr awyr yn gallu nythu dan ei gysgod."
32and whenever it may be sown, it cometh up, and doth become greater than any of the herbs, and doth make great branches, so that under its shade the fowls of the heaven are able to rest.`
33 Ar lawer o'r fath ddamhegion yr oedd ef yn llefaru'r gair wrthynt, yn l fel y gallent wrando;
33And with many such similes he was speaking to them the word, as they were able to hear,
34 heb ddameg ni fyddai'n llefaru dim wrthynt. Ond o'r neilltu byddai'n egluro popeth i'w ddisgyblion ei hun.
34and without a simile he was not speaking to them, and by themselves, to his disciples he was expounding all.
35 A'r diwrnod hwnnw, gyda'r nos, dywedodd wrthynt, "Awn drosodd i'r ochr draw."
35And he saith to them on that day, evening having come, `We may pass over to the other side;`
36 A gadawsant y dyrfa, a mynd ag ef yn y cwch fel yr oedd; yr oedd cychod eraill hefyd gydag ef.
36and having let away the multitude, they take him up as he was in the boat, and other little boats also were with him.
37 Cododd tymestl fawr o wynt, ac yr oedd y tonnau'n ymdaflu i'r cwch, nes ei fod erbyn hyn yn llenwi.
37And there cometh a great storm of wind, and the waves were beating on the boat, so that it is now being filled,
38 Yr oedd ef yn starn y cwch yn cysgu ar glustog. Deffroesant ef a dweud wrtho, "Athro, a wyt ti'n hidio dim ei bod ar ben arnom?"
38and he himself was upon the stern, upon the pillow sleeping, and they wake him up, and say to him, `Teacher, art thou not caring that we perish?`
39 Ac fe ddeffrdd a cheryddu'r gwynt a dweud wrth y mr, "Bydd ddistaw! Bydd dawel!" Gostegodd y gwynt, a bu tawelwch mawr.
39And having waked up, he rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, `Peace, be stilled;` and the wind did lull, and there was a great calm:
40 A dywedodd wrthynt, "Pam y mae arnoch ofn? Sut yr ydych heb ffydd o hyd?"
40and he said to them, `Why are ye so fearful? how have ye not faith?`
41 Daeth ofn dirfawr arnynt, ac meddent wrth ei gilydd, "Pwy ynteu yw hwn? Y mae hyd yn oed y gwynt a'r mr yn ufuddhau iddo."
41and they feared a great fear, and said one to another, `Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea do obey him?`
