1 Daethant i'r ochr draw i'r mr i wlad y Geraseniaid.
1And they came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gadarenes,
2 A phan ddaeth allan o'r cwch, ar unwaith daeth i'w gyfarfod o blith y beddau ddyn ag ysbryd aflan ynddo.
2and he having come forth out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Yr oedd hwn yn cartrefu ymhlith y beddau, ac ni allai neb mwyach ei rwymo hyd yn oed chadwyn,
3who had his dwelling in the tombs, and not even with chains was any one able to bind him,
4 oherwydd yr oedd wedi cael ei rwymo'n fynych llyffetheiriau ac chadwynau, ond yr oedd y cadwynau wedi eu rhwygo ganddo a'r llyffetheiriau wedi eu dryllio; ac ni fedrai neb ei ddofi.
4because that he many times with fetters and chains had been bound, and pulled in pieces by him had been the chains, and the fetters broken in pieces, and none was able to tame him,
5 Ac yn wastad, nos a dydd, ymhlith y beddau ac ar y mynyddoedd, byddai'n gweiddi ac yn ei anafu ei hun cherrig.
5and always, night and day, in the mountains, and in the tombs he was, crying and cutting himself with stones.
6 A phan welodd Iesu o bell, rhedodd a syrthio ar ei liniau o'i flaen,
6And, having seen Jesus from afar, he ran and bowed before him,
7 a gwaeddodd llais uchel, "Beth sydd a fynni di mi, Iesu, Mab y Duw Goruchaf? Yn enw Duw, paid 'm poenydio."
7and having called with a loud voice, he said, `What — to me and to thee, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I adjure thee by God, mayest thou not afflict me!`
8 Oherwydd yr oedd Iesu wedi dweud wrtho, "Dos allan, ysbryd aflan, o'r dyn."
8(for he said to him, `Come forth, spirit unclean, out of the man,`)
9 A gofynnodd iddo, "Beth yw dy enw?" Meddai yntau wrtho, "Lleng yw fy enw, oherwydd y mae llawer ohonom."
9and he was questioning him, `What [is] thy name?` and he answered, saying, `Legion [is] my name, because we are many;`
10 Ac yr oedd yn ymbil yn daer arno beidio 'u gyrru allan o'r wlad.
10and he was calling on him much, that he may not send them out of the region.
11 Yr oedd yno ar lethr y mynydd genfaint fawr o foch yn pori.
11And there was there, near the mountains, a great herd of swine feeding,
12 Ac ymbiliodd yr ysbrydion aflan arno, "Anfon ni i'r moch; gad i ni fynd i mewn iddynt hwy."
12and all the demons did call upon him, saying, `Send us to the swine, that into them we may enter;`
13 Ac fe ganiataodd iddynt. Aeth yr ysbrydion aflan allan o'r dyn ac i mewn i'r moch; a rhuthrodd y genfaint dros y dibyn i'r mr, tua dwy fil ohonynt, a boddi yn y mr.
13and immediately Jesus gave them leave, and having come forth, the unclean spirits did enter into the swine, and the herd did rush down the steep place to the sea — and they were about two thousand — and they were choked in the sea.
14 Ffodd bugeiliaid y moch ac adrodd yr hanes yn y dref ac yn y wlad, a daeth y bobl i weld beth oedd wedi digwydd.
14And those feeding the swine did flee, and told in the city, and in the fields, and they came forth to see what it is that hath been done;
15 Daethant at Iesu a gweld y dyn, hwnnw yr oedd y lleng cythreuliaid wedi bod ynddo, yn eistedd 'i ddillad amdano ac yn ei iawn bwyll; a daeth arnynt ofn.
15and they come unto Jesus, and see the demoniac, sitting, and clothed, and right-minded — him having had the legion — and they were afraid;
16 Adroddwyd wrthynt gan y rhai oedd wedi gweld beth oedd wedi digwydd i'r dyn ym meddiant cythreuliaid, a'r hanes am y moch hefyd.
16and those having seen [it], declared to them how it had come to pass to the demoniac, and about the swine;
17 A dechreusant erfyn arno fynd ymaith o'u gororau.
17and they began to call upon him to go away from their borders.
18 Ac wrth iddo fynd i mewn i'r cwch, yr oedd y dyn a oedd wedi bod ym meddiant y cythreuliaid yn erfyn arno am gael bod gydag ef.
18And he having gone into the boat, the demoniac was calling on him that he may be with him,
19 Ni adawodd iddo, ond meddai wrtho, "Dos adref at dy bobl dy hun a mynega iddynt gymaint y mae'r Arglwydd wedi ei wneud drosot, a'r modd y tosturiodd wrthyt."
19and Jesus did not suffer him, but saith to him, `Go away to thy house, unto thine own [friends], and tell them how great things the Lord did to thee, and dealt kindly with thee;
20 Aeth yntau ymaith a dechrau cyhoeddi yn y Decapolis gymaint yr oedd Iesu wedi ei wneud drosto; ac yr oedd pawb yn rhyfeddu.
20and he went away, and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how great things Jesus did to him, and all were wondering.
21 Wedi i Iesu groesi'n l yn y cwch i'r ochr arall, daeth tyrfa fawr ynghyd ato, ac yr oedd ar lan y mr.
21And Jesus having passed over in the boat again to the other side, there was gathered a great multitude to him, and he was near the sea,
22 Daeth un o arweinwyr y synagog, o'r enw Jairus, a phan welodd ef syrthiodd wrth ei draed
22and lo, there doth come one of the chiefs of the synagogue, by name Jairus, and having seen him, he doth fall at his feet,
23 ac ymbil yn daer arno: "Y mae fy merch fach," meddai, "ar fin marw. Tyrd a rho dy ddwylo arni, iddi gael ei gwella a byw."
23and he was calling upon him much, saying — `My little daughter is at the last extremity — that having come, thou mayest lay on her [thy] hands, so that she may be saved, and she shall live;`
24 Ac aeth Iesu ymaith gydag ef. Yr oedd tyrfa fawr yn ei ganlyn ac yn gwasgu arno.
24and he went away with him. And there was following him a great multitude, and they were thronging him,
25 Ac yr oedd yno wraig ac arni waedlif ers deuddeng mlynedd.
25and a certain woman, having an issue of blood twelve years,
26 Yr oedd wedi dioddef yn enbyd dan driniaeth llawer o feddygon, ac wedi gwario'r cwbl oedd ganddi, a heb gael dim lles ond yn hytrach mynd yn waeth.
26and many things having suffered under many physicians, and having spent all that she had, and having profited nothing, but rather having come to the worse,
27 Yr oedd hon wedi clywed am Iesu, a daeth o'r tu l iddo yn y dyrfa a chyffwrdd 'i fantell,
27having heard about Jesus, having come in the multitude behind, she touched his garment,
28 oherwydd yr oedd hi wedi dweud, "Os cyffyrddaf hyd yn oed 'i ddillad ef, fe gaf fy iachu."
28for she said — `If even his garments I may touch, I shall be saved;`
29 A sychodd llif ei gwaed hi yn y fan, a daeth hithau i wybod yn ei chorff ei bod wedi ei hiachu o'i chlwyf.
29and immediately was the fountain of her blood dried up, and she knew in the body that she hath been healed of the plague.
30 Ac ar unwaith deallodd Iesu ynddo'i hun fod y nerth oedd yn tarddu ynddo wedi mynd allan, a throes yng nghanol y dyrfa, a gofyn, "Pwy gyffyrddodd 'm dillad?"
30And immediately Jesus having known in himself that out of him power had gone forth, having turned about in the multitude, said, `Who did touch my garments?`
31 Meddai ei ddisgyblion wrtho, "Yr wyt yn gweld y dyrfa'n gwasgu arnat ac eto'n gofyn, 'Pwy gyffyrddodd mi?'"
31and his disciples said to him, `Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and thou sayest, `Who did touch me!`
32 Ond daliodd ef i edrych o'i gwmpas i weld yr un oedd wedi gwneud hyn.
32And he was looking round to see her who did this,
33 Daeth y wraig, dan grynu yn ei braw, yn gwybod beth oedd wedi digwydd iddi, a syrthiodd o'i flaen ef a dweud wrtho'r holl wir.
33and the woman, having been afraid, and trembling, knowing what was done on her, came, and fell down before him, and told him all the truth,
34 Dywedodd yntau wrthi hi, "Ferch, y mae dy ffydd wedi dy iachu di. Dos mewn tangnefedd, a bydd iach o'th glwyf."
34and he said to her, `Daughter, thy faith hath saved thee; go away in peace, and be whole from thy plague.`
35 Tra oedd ef yn llefaru, daeth rhywrai o du375? arweinydd y synagog a dweud, "Y mae dy ferch wedi marw; pam yr wyt yn poeni'r Athro bellach?"
35As he is yet speaking, there come from the chief of the synagogue`s [house, certain], saying — `Thy daughter did die, why still dost thou harass the Teacher?`
36 Ond anwybyddodd Iesu y neges, a dywedodd wrth arweinydd y synagog, "Paid ag ofni, dim ond credu."
36And Jesus immediately, having heard the word that is spoken, saith to the chief of the synagogue, `Be not afraid, only believe.`
37 Ac ni adawodd i neb ganlyn gydag ef ond Pedr ac Iago ac Ioan, brawd Iago.
37And he did not suffer any one to follow with him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James;
38 Daethant i du375? arweinydd y synagog, a gwelodd gynnwrf, a phobl yn wylo ac yn dolefain yn uchel.
38and he cometh to the house of the chief of the synagogue, and seeth a tumult, much weeping and wailing;
39 Ac wedi mynd i mewn dywedodd wrthynt, "Pam yr ydych yn llawn cynnwrf ac yn wylo? Nid yw'r plentyn wedi marw, cysgu y mae."
39and having gone in he saith to them, `Why do ye make a tumult, and weep? the child did not die, but doth sleep;
40 Dechreusant chwerthin am ei ben. Gyrrodd yntau bawb allan, a chymryd tad y plentyn a'i mam a'r rhai oedd gydag ef, a mynd i mewn lle'r oedd y plentyn.
40and they were laughing at him. And he, having put all forth, doth take the father of the child, and the mother, and those with him, and goeth in where the child is lying,
41 Ac wedi gafael yn llaw'r plentyn dyma fe'n dweud wrthi, "Talitha cu373?m," sy'n golygu, "Fy ngeneth, rwy'n dweud wrthyt, cod."
41and, having taken the hand of the child, he saith to her, `Talitha cumi;` which is, being interpreted, `Damsel (I say to thee), arise.`
42 Cododd yr eneth ar unwaith a dechrau cerdded, oherwydd yr oedd yn ddeuddeng mlwydd oed. A thrawyd hwy yn y fan syndod mawr.
42And immediately the damsel arose, and was walking, for she was twelve years [old]; and they were amazed with a great amazement,
43 A rhoddodd ef orchymyn pendant iddynt nad oedd neb i gael gwybod hyn, a dywedodd am roi iddi rywbeth i'w fwyta.
43and he charged them much, that no one may know this thing, and he said that there be given to her to eat.
