Young`s Literal Translation

Romans

13

1 Y mae'n rhaid i bob un ymostwng i'r awdurdodau sy'n ben. Oherwydd nid oes awdurdod heb i Dduw ei sefydlu, ac y mae'r awdurdodau sydd ohoni wedi eu sefydlu gan Dduw.
1Let every soul to the higher authorities be subject, for there is no authority except from God, and the authorities existing are appointed by God,
2 Am hynny, y mae'r sawl sy'n gwrthsefyll y fath awdurdod yn gwrthwynebu sefydliad sydd o Dduw. Ac y mae'r cyfryw yn sicr o dynnu barn arnynt eu hunain.
2so that he who is setting himself against the authority, against God`s ordinance hath resisted; and those resisting, to themselves shall receive judgment.
3 Y mae'r llywodraethwyr yn ddychryn, nid i'r sawl sy'n gwneud daioni ond i'r sawl sy'n gwneud drygioni. A wyt ti am fyw heb ofni'r awdurdod? Gwna ddaioni, a chei glod ganddo.
3For those ruling are not a terror to the good works, but to the evil; and dost thou wish not to be afraid of the authority? that which is good be doing, and thou shalt have praise from it,
4 Oherwydd gwas Duw ydyw, yn gweini arnat ti er dy les. Ond os drygioni a wnei, dylit ofni, oherwydd nid i ddim y mae'n gwisgo'r cleddyf. Gwas Duw ydyw, ie, dialydd i ddwyn digofaint dwyfol ar ddrwgweithredwyr.
4for of God it is a ministrant to thee for good; and if that which is evil thou mayest do, be fearing, for not in vain doth it bear the sword; for of God it is a ministrant, an avenger for wrath to him who is doing that which is evil.
5 Felly, y mae rheidrwydd arnom ymostwng, nid yn unig o achos y digofaint, ond hefyd o achos cydwybod.
5Wherefore it is necessary to be subject, not only because of the wrath, but also because of the conscience,
6 Dyma pam hefyd yr ydych yn talu trethi, oherwydd gwasanaethu Duw y mae'r awdurdodau wrth fod yn ddyfal yn y gwaith hwn.
6for because of this also pay ye tribute; for servants of God they are, on this very thing attending continually;
7 Talwch i bob un ohonynt beth bynnag sy'n ddyledus, boed dreth, boed doll, boed barch, boed anrhydedd.
7render, therefore, to all [their] dues; to whom tribute, the tribute; to whom custom, the custom; to whom fear, the fear; to whom honour, the honour.
8 Peidiwch bod mewn dyled i neb, ar wahn i'r ddyled o garu eich gilydd. Y mae'r sawl sy'n caru pobl eraill wedi cyflawni holl ofynion y Gyfraith.
8To no one owe anything, except to love one another; for he who is loving the other — law he hath fulfilled,
9 Oherwydd y mae'r gorchmynion, "Na odineba, na ladd, na ladrata, na chwennych", a phob gorchymyn arall, wedi eu crynhoi yn y gorchymyn hwn: "Cr dy gymydog fel ti dy hun."
9for, `Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false testimony, Thou shalt not covet;` and if there is any other command, in this word it is summed up, in this: `Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself;`
10 Ni all cariad wneud cam chymydog. Y mae cariad, felly, yn gyflawniad o holl ofynion y Gyfraith.
10the love to the neighbor doth work no ill; the love, therefore, [is] the fulness of law.
11 Ie, gwnewch hyn oll fel rhai sy'n ymwybodol o'r amser, mai dyma'r awr ichwi i ddeffro o gwsg. Erbyn hyn, y mae ein hiachawdwriaeth yn nes atom nag oedd pan ddaethom i gredu.
11And this, knowing the time, that for us, the hour already [is] to be aroused out of sleep, for now nearer [is] our salvation than when we did believe;
12 Y mae'r nos ar ddod i ben, a'r dydd ar wawrio. Gadewch inni, felly, roi heibio weithredoedd y tywyllwch, a gwisgo arfau'r goleuni.
12the night did advance, and the day came nigh; let us lay aside, therefore, the works of the darkness, and let us put on the armour of the light;
13 Gadewch inni fyw yn weddus, fel yng ngolau dydd, heb roi dim lle i loddest a meddwdod, i anniweirdeb ac anlladrwydd, i gynnen ac eiddigedd.
13as in day-time, let us walk becomingly; not in revellings and drunkennesses, not in chamberings and lasciviousnesses, not in strife and emulation;
14 Gwisgwch yr Arglwydd Iesu Grist amdanoch; a pheidiwch rhoi eich bryd ar foddhau chwantau'r cnawd.
14but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the flesh take no forethought — for desires.
