¹ Daeth pennau-teuluoedd tylwythau meibion Gilead fab Machir, fab Manasse, un o dylwythau meibion Joseff, ymlaen a siarad � Moses a'r arweinwyr, sef pennau-teuluoedd pobl Israel,

¹And the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the family of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the children of Israel:

² a dweud, "Gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD iti roi'r wlad yn etifeddiaeth i bobl Israel trwy'r coelbren, a rhoi etifeddiaeth ein brawd Seloffehad i'w ferched.

²and they said, Jehovah commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by Jehovah to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.

³ Yn awr, os priodant hwy � dynion o lwythau eraill ymysg yr Israeliaid, yna bydd eu hetifeddiaeth yn cael ei cholli o lwyth ein hynafiaid, ac yn cael ei throsglwyddo at etifeddiaeth y llwythau y priodwyd hwy iddynt, a bydd ein hetifeddiaeth ni yn dlotach o'r herwydd.

³And if they be married to any of the sons of the [other] tribes of the children of Israel, then will their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they shall belong: so will it be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.

⁴ Pan ddaw jwbili pobl Israel, fe drosglwyddir eu hetifeddiaeth hwy at etifeddiaeth y llwythau y priodwyd hwy iddynt; felly, bydd eu hetifeddiaeth yn cael ei cholli oddi wrth etifeddiaeth llwyth ein hynafiaid."

⁴And when the jubilee of the children of Israel shall be, then will their inheritance be added unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they shall belong: so will their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

⁵ Gorchmynnodd Moses i bobl Israel yn �l gair yr ARGLWYDD, a dweud, "Y mae cais llwyth meibion Joseff yn un cyfiawn.

⁵And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of Jehovah, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph speaketh right.

⁶ Dyma orchymyn yr ARGLWYDD ynglu375?n � merched Seloffehad: c�nt briodi � phwy bynnag a ddymunant, cyn belled � bod eu gwu375?r yn perthyn i dylwyth eu tad.

⁶This is the thing which Jehovah doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them be married to whom they think best; only into the family of the tribe of their father shall they be married.

⁷ Nid yw etifeddiaeth pobl Israel i'w throsglwyddo o'r naill lwyth i'r llall; yn hytrach, glyned pob un o bobl Israel wrth etifeddiaeth llwyth ei hynafiaid.

⁷So shall no inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe; for the children of Israel shall cleave every one to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

⁸ Y mae pob merch sy'n meddu ar etifeddiaeth, ni waeth i ba un o lwythau Israel y perthyn, i briodi � dyn o dylwyth ei thad, fel y caiff pob un o bobl Israel ran yn etifeddiaeth ei hynafiaid.

⁸And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may possess every man the inheritance of his fathers.

⁹ Felly, ni fydd yr etifeddiaeth yn cael ei throsglwyddo o'r naill lwyth i'r llall, ond bydd pob un o lwythau pobl Israel yn glynu wrth ei etifeddiaeth ei hun."

⁹So shall no inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; for the tribes of the children of Israel shall cleave every one to his own inheritance.

¹⁰ Gwnaeth merched Seloffehad fel yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi gorchymyn i Moses,

¹⁰Even as Jehovah commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad:

¹¹ ac fe briododd Mala, Tirsa, Hogla, Milca a Noa, merched Seloffehad, � meibion brodyr eu tad.

¹¹for Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father's brothers' sons.

¹² Felly daethant yn wragedd i wu375?r o dylwyth meibion Manasse fab Joseff, ac arhosodd eu hetifeddiaeth gyda thylwyth eu tad.

¹²They were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

¹³ Dyma'r deddfau a'r gorchmynion a roddodd yr ARGLWYDD trwy Moses i bobl Israel yng ngwastadedd Moab, gyferbyn � Jericho ger yr Iorddonen.

¹³These are the commandments and the ordinances which Jehovah commanded by Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
