¹ Bellach, gyfeillion, fel y cawsoch eich hyfforddi gennym ni pa fodd y dylech fyw er mwyn boddhau Duw (ac felly, yn wir, yr ydych yn byw), yr ydym yn gofyn ichwi, ac yn deisyf arnoch yn yr Arglwydd Iesu, i ragori fwyfwy.

¹For the rest, then, brethren, we beg you and exhort you in [the] Lord Jesus, even as ye have received from us how ye ought to walk and please God, even as ye also do walk, that ye would abound still more.

² Oherwydd gwyddoch pa gyfarwyddyd a roddasom ichwi oddi wrth yr Arglwydd Iesu.

²For ye know what charges we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

³ Oherwydd hyn yw ewyllys Duw, ichwi gael eich sancteiddio: yr ydych i ymgadw oddi wrth anfoesoldeb rhywiol;

³For this is [the] will of God, [even] your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication;

⁴ y mae pob un ohonoch i wybod sut i gadw ei gorff ei hun mewn sancteiddrwydd a pharch,

⁴that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honour,

⁵ ac nid yn nwyd trachwant, fel y cenhedloedd nad ydynt yn adnabod Duw;

⁵(not in passionate desire, even as the nations who know not God,)

⁶ nid yw neb i gam-drin ei gyd-grediniwr, na manteisio arno yn ei ymwneud ag ef, oherwydd, fel y dywedasom wrthych o'r blaen, a'ch rhybuddio, y mae'r Arglwydd yn dial am yr holl bethau hyn.

⁶not overstepping the rights of and wronging his brother in the matter, because the Lord [is] the avenger of all these things, even as we also told you before, and have fully testified.

⁷ Oherwydd galwodd Duw ni, nid i amhurdeb ond i sancteiddrwydd.

⁷For God has not called us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

⁸ Gan hynny, y mae'r sawl sydd yn diystyru hyn yn diystyru neb ond Duw, yr hwn sy'n rhoi ei Ysbryd Gl�n i chwi.

⁸He therefore that [in this] disregards [his brother], disregards, not man, but God, who has given also his Holy Spirit to you.

⁹ Ynglu375?n � chariad at eich gilydd, nid oes arnoch angen i neb ysgrifennu atoch; oherwydd yr ydych chwi eich hunain wedi eich dysgu gan Dduw i garu eich gilydd.

⁹Now concerning brotherly love ye have no need that we should write to you, for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

¹⁰ Ac yn wir, yr ydych yn gwneud hyn i bawb o'r credinwyr trwy Facedonia gyfan; ond yr ydym yn eich annog, gyfeillion, i ragori fwyfwy:

¹⁰For also ye do this towards all the brethren in the whole of Macedonia; but we exhort you, brethren, to abound still more,

¹¹ i roi eich bryd ar fyw yn dawel, a dilyn eich gorchwylion eich hunain, a gweithio �'ch dwylo eich hunain, fel y gorchmynasom ichwi.

¹¹and to seek earnestly to be quiet and mind your own affairs, and work with your [own] hands, even as we charged you,

¹² Felly byddwch yn ymddwyn yn weddaidd yng ngolwg y rhai sydd y tu allan, ac ni fydd angen dim arnoch.

¹²that ye may walk reputably towards those without, and may have need of no one.

¹³ Yr ydym am ichwi wybod, gyfeillion, am y rhai sydd yn huno, rhag ichwi fod yn drallodus, fel y rhelyw sydd heb ddim gobaith.

¹³But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are fallen asleep, to the end that ye be not grieved even as also the rest who have no hope.

¹⁴ Os ydym yn credu i Iesu farw ac atgyfodi, felly hefyd bydd Duw, gydag ef, yn dod �'r rhai a hunodd drwy Iesu.

¹⁴For if we believe that Jesus has died and has risen again, so also God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

¹⁵ Hyn yr ydym yn ei ddweud wrthych ar air yr Arglwydd: ni fyddwn ni, y rhai byw a adewir hyd ddyfodiad yr Arglwydd, yn rhagflaenu dim ar y rhai sydd wedi huno.

¹⁵(For this we say to you in [the] word of [the] Lord, that *we*, the living, who remain to the coming of the Lord, are in no way to anticipate those who have fallen asleep;

¹⁶ Oherwydd pan floeddir y gorchymyn, pan fydd yr archangel yn galw ac utgorn Duw yn seinio, bydd yr Arglwydd ei hun yn disgyn o'r nef; bydd y meirw yng Nghrist yn atgyfodi yn gyntaf,

¹⁶for the Lord himself, with an assembling shout, with archangel's voice and with trump of God, shall descend from heaven; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

¹⁷ ac yna byddwn ni, y rhai byw a fydd wedi eu gadael, yn cael ein cipio i fyny gyda hwy yn y cymylau, i gyfarfod �'r Arglwydd yn yr awyr; ac felly byddwn gyda'r Arglwydd yn barhaus.

¹⁷then *we*, the living who remain, shall be caught up together with them in [the] clouds, to meet the Lord in [the] air; and thus we shall be always with [the] Lord.

¹⁸ Calonogwch eich gilydd, felly, �'r geiriau hyn.

¹⁸So encourage one another with these words.)
