¹ Ar ddydd cyflawni cyfnod y Pentecost yr oeddent oll ynghyd yn yr un lle,

¹And when the day of Pentecost was now accomplishing, they were all together in one place.

² ac yn sydyn fe ddaeth o'r nef su373?n fel gwynt grymus yn rhuthro, ac fe lanwodd yr holl du375? lle'r oeddent yn eistedd.

²And there came suddenly a sound out of heaven as of a violent impetuous blowing, and filled all the house where they were sitting.

³ Ymddangosodd iddynt dafodau fel o d�n yn ymrannu ac yn eistedd un ar bob un ohonynt;

³And there appeared to them parted tongues, as of fire, and it sat upon each one of them.

⁴ a llanwyd hwy oll �'r Ysbryd Gl�n, a dechreusant lefaru � thafodau dieithr, fel yr oedd yr Ysbryd yn rhoi lleferydd iddynt.

⁴And they were all filled with [the] Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth.

⁵ Yr oedd yn preswylio yn Jerwsalem Iddewon, pobl dduwiol o bob cenedl dan y nef;

⁵Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, pious men, from every nation of those under heaven.

⁶ ac wrth glywed y su373?n hwn fe ymgasglodd tyrfa ohonynt, ac yr oeddent wedi drysu'n l�n am fod pob un ohonynt yn eu clywed hwy yn siarad yn ei iaith ei hun.

⁶But the rumour of this having spread, the multitude came together and were confounded, because each one heard them speaking in his own dialect.

⁷ Yr oeddent yn synnu a rhyfeddu, ac meddent, "Onid Galileaid yw'r rhain oll sy'n llefaru?

⁷And all were amazed and wondered, saying, Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galilaeans?

⁸ A sut yr ydym ni yn eu clywed bob un ohonom yn ei iaith ei hun, iaith ei fam?

⁸and how do *we* hear [them] each in our own dialect in which we have been born,

⁹ Parthiaid a Mediaid ac Elamitiaid, a thrigolion Mesopotamia, Jwdea a Capadocia, Pontus ac Asia,

⁹Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and those who inhabit Mesopotamia, and Judaea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,

¹⁰ Phrygia a Pamffylia, yr Aifft a pharthau Libya tua Cyrene, a'r ymwelwyr o Rufain, yn Iddewon a phroselytiaid,

¹⁰both Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya which adjoin Cyrene, and the Romans sojourning [here], both Jews and proselytes,

¹¹ Cretiaid ac Arabiaid, yr ydym yn eu clywed hwy yn llefaru yn ein hieithoedd ni am fawrion weithredoedd Duw."

¹¹Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our own tongues the great things of God?

¹² Yr oedd pawb yn synnu mewn penbleth, gan ddweud y naill wrth y llall, "Beth yw ystyr hyn?"

¹²And they were all amazed and in perplexity, saying one to another, What would this mean?

¹³ Ond yr oedd eraill yn dweud yn wawdlyd, "Wedi meddwi y maent."

¹³But others mocking said, They are full of new wine.

¹⁴ Safodd Pedr ynghyd �'r un ar ddeg, a chododd ei lais a'u hannerch: "Chwi Iddewon, a thrigolion Jerwsalem oll, bydded hyn yn hysbys i chwi; gwrandewch ar fy ngeiriau.

¹⁴But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke forth to them, Men of Judaea, and all ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give heed to my words:

¹⁵ Nid yw'r rhain wedi meddwi, fel yr ydych chwi'n tybio, oherwydd dim ond naw o'r gloch y bore yw hi.

¹⁵for these are not full of wine, as *ye* suppose, for it is the third hour of the day;

¹⁶ Eithr dyma'r hyn a ddywedwyd drwy'r proffwyd Joel:

¹⁶but this is that which was spoken through the prophet Joel,

¹⁷ 'A hyn a fydd yn y dyddiau olaf, medd Duw: tywalltaf o'm Hysbryd ar bawb; a bydd eich meibion a'ch merched yn proffwydo; bydd eich gwu375?r ifainc yn cael gweledigaethau, a'ch hynafgwyr yn gweld breuddwydion;

¹⁷And it shall be in the last days, saith God, [that] I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your elders shall dream with dreams;

¹⁸ hyd yn oed ar fy nghaethweision a'm caethforynion, yn y dyddiau hynny, fe dywalltaf o'm Hysbryd, ac fe broffwydant.

¹⁸yea, even upon my bondmen and upon my bondwomen in those days will I pour out of my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

¹⁹ A rhof ryfeddodau yn y nef uchod ac arwyddion ar y ddaear isod, gwaed a th�n a tharth mwg;

¹⁹And I will give wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

²⁰ troir yr haul yn dywyllwch, a'r lleuad yn waed, cyn i ddydd mawr a disglair yr Arglwydd ddod;

²⁰the sun shall be changed to darkness and the moon to blood, before the great and gloriously appearing day of [the] Lord come.

²¹ a bydd pob un sy'n galw ar enw'r Arglwydd yn cael ei achub.'

²¹And it shall be that whosoever shall call upon the name of [the] Lord shall be saved.

²² "Bobl Israel, clywch hyn: s�n yr wyf am Iesu o Nasareth, gu373?r y mae ei benodi gan Dduw wedi ei amlygu i chwi trwy wyrthiau a rhyfeddodau ac arwyddion a gyflawnodd Duw trwyddo ef yn eich mysg chwi, fel y gwyddoch chwi eich hunain.

²²Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Nazaraean, a man borne witness to by God to you by works of power and wonders and signs, which God wrought by him in your midst, as yourselves know

²³ Yr oedd hwn wedi ei draddodi trwy fwriad penodedig a rhagwybodaeth Duw, ac fe groeshoeliasoch chwi ef drwy law estroniaid, a'i ladd.

²³-- him, given up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye, by [the] hand of lawless [men], have crucified and slain.

²⁴ Ond cyfododd Duw ef, gan ei ryddhau o wewyr angau, oherwydd nid oedd dichon i angau ei ddal yn ei afael.

²⁴Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death, inasmuch as it was not possible that he should be held by its power;

²⁵ Oherwydd y mae Dafydd yn dweud amdano: 'Yr oeddwn yn gweld yr Arglwydd o'm blaen yn wastad, canys ar fy neheulaw y mae, fel na'm hysgydwer.

²⁵for David says as to him, I foresaw the Lord continually before me, because he is at my right hand that I may not be moved.

²⁶ Am hynny llawenychodd fy nghalon a gorfoleddodd fy nhafod, ie, a bydd fy nghnawd hefyd yn preswylio mewn gobaith;

²⁶Therefore has my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted; yea more, my flesh also shall dwell in hope,

²⁷ oherwydd ni fyddi'n gadael fy enaid yn Hades, nac yn gadael i'th Sanct weld llygredigaeth.

²⁷for thou wilt not leave my soul in hades, nor wilt thou give thy gracious one to see corruption.

²⁸ Hysbysaist imi ffyrdd bywyd; byddi'n fy llenwi � llawenydd yn dy bresenoldeb.'

²⁸Thou hast made known to me [the] paths of life, thou wilt fill me with joy with thy countenance.

²⁹ "Gyfeillion, gallaf siarad yn hy wrthych am y patriarch Dafydd, iddo farw a chael ei gladdu, ac y mae ei fedd gyda ni hyd y dydd hwn.

²⁹Brethren, let it be allowed to speak with freedom to you concerning the patriarch David, that he has both died and been buried, and his monument is amongst us unto this day.

³⁰ Felly, ac yntau'n broffwyd ac yn gwybod i Dduw dyngu iddo ar lw y gosodai un o'i linach ar ei orsedd,

³⁰Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, of the fruit of his loins to set upon his throne;

³¹ rhagweld atgyfodiad y Meseia yr oedd pan ddywedodd: 'Ni adawyd ef yn Hades, ac ni welodd ei gnawd lygredigaeth.'

³¹he, seeing [it] before, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither has he been left in hades nor his flesh seen corruption.

³² Yr Iesu hwn, fe gyfododd Duw ef, peth yr ydym ni oll yn dystion ohono.

³²This Jesus has God raised up, whereof all *we* are witnesses.

³³ Felly, wedi iddo gael ei ddyrchafu i ddeheulaw Duw, a derbyn gan y Tad ei addewid am yr Ysbryd Gl�n, fe dywalltodd y peth hwn yr ydych chwi yn ei weld a'i glywed.

³³Having therefore been exalted by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which *ye* behold and hear.

³⁴ Canys nid Dafydd a esgynnodd i'r nefoedd; y mae ef ei hun yn dweud: 'Dywedodd yr Arglwydd wrth fy Arglwydd i, "Eistedd ar fy neheulaw,

³⁴For David has not ascended into the heavens, but he says himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand

³⁵ nes imi osod dy elynion yn droedfainc i'th draed."'

³⁵until I have put thine enemies [to be] the footstool of thy feet.

³⁶ Felly gwybydded holl du375? Israel yn sicr fod Duw wedi ei wneud ef yn Arglwydd ac yn Feseia, yr Iesu hwn a groeshoeliasoch chwi."

³⁶Let the whole house of Israel therefore know assuredly that God has made him, this Jesus whom *ye* have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

³⁷ Pan glywsant hyn, fe'u dwysbigwyd yn eu calon, a dywedasant wrth Pedr a'r apostolion eraill, "Beth a wnawn ni, gyfeillion?"

³⁷And having heard [it] they were pricked in heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles, What shall we do, brethren?

³⁸ Meddai Pedr wrthynt, "Edifarhewch, a bedyddier pob un ohonoch yn enw Iesu Grist er maddeuant eich pechodau, ac fe dderbyniwch yr Ysbryd Gl�n yn rhodd.

³⁸And Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptised, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for remission of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

³⁹ Oherwydd i chwi y mae'r addewid, ac i'ch plant ac i bawb sydd ymhell, pob un y bydd i'r Arglwydd ein Duw ni ei alw ato."

³⁹For to you is the promise and to your children, and to all who [are] afar off, as many as [the] Lord our God may call.

⁴⁰ Ac � geiriau eraill lawer y tystiolaethodd ger eu bron, a'u hannog, "Dihangwch rhag y genhedlaeth wyrgam hon."

⁴⁰And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this perverse generation.

⁴¹ Felly bedyddiwyd y rhai a dderbyniodd ei air, ac ychwanegwyd atynt y diwrnod hwnnw tua thair mil o bersonau.

⁴¹Those then who had accepted his word were baptised; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.

⁴² Yr oeddent yn dyfalbarhau yn nysgeidiaeth yr apostolion ac yn y gymdeithas, yn y torri bara ac yn y gwedd�au.

⁴²And they persevered in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles, in breaking of bread and prayers.

⁴³ Yr oedd ofn ar bob enaid; yr oedd rhyfeddodau ac arwyddion lawer yn cael eu gwneud drwy'r apostolion.

⁴³And fear was upon every soul, and many wonders and signs took place through the apostles' means.

⁴⁴ Yr oedd yr holl gredinwyr ynghyd yn dal pob peth yn gyffredin.

⁴⁴And all that believed were together, and had all things common,

⁴⁵ Byddent yn gwerthu eu heiddo a'u meddiannau, a'u rhannu rhwng pawb yn �l fel y byddai angen pob un.

⁴⁵and sold their possessions and substance, and distributed them to all, according as any one might have need.

⁴⁶ A chan ddyfalbarhau beunydd yn unfryd yn y deml, a thorri bara yn eu tai, yr oeddent yn cydfwyta mewn llawenydd a symledd calon,

⁴⁶And every day, being constantly in the temple with one accord, and breaking bread in [the] house, they received their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

⁴⁷ dan foli Duw a chael ewyllys da'r holl bobl. Ac yr oedd yr Arglwydd yn ychwanegu beunydd at y gynulleidfa y rhai oedd yn cael eu hachub.

⁴⁷praising God, and having favour with all the people; and the Lord added [to the assembly] daily those that were to be saved.
