1 Ymgasglodd y Phariseaid ato, a rhai ysgrifenyddion oedd wedi dod o Jerwsalem.
1And the Pharisees and some of the scribes, coming from Jerusalem, are gathered together to him,
2 A gwelsant fod rhai o'i ddisgyblion ef yn bwyta'u bwyd dwylo halogedig, hynny yw, heb eu golchi.
2and seeing some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is, unwashed, hands,
3 (Oherwydd nid yw'r Phariseaid, na neb o'r Iddewon, yn bwyta heb olchi eu dwylo hyd yr arddwrn, gan lynu wrth draddodiad yr hynafiaid;
3(for the Pharisees and all the Jews, unless they wash their hands diligently, do not eat, holding what has been delivered by the ancients;
4 ac ni fyddant byth yn bwyta, ar l dod o'r farchnad, heb ymolchi; ac y mae llawer o bethau eraill a etifeddwyd ganddynt i'w cadw, megis golchi cwpanau ac ystenau a llestri pres.)
4and [on coming] from the market-place, unless they are washed, they do not eat; and there are many other things which they have received to hold, the washing of cups and vessels, and brazen utensils, and couches),
5 Gofynnodd y Phariseaid a'r ysgrifenyddion iddo, "Pam nad yw dy ddisgyblion di'n dilyn traddodiad yr hynafiaid, ond yn bwyta'u bwyd dwylo halogedig?"
5then the Pharisees and the scribes ask him, Why do thy disciples not walk according to what has been delivered by the ancients, but eat the bread with defiled hands?
6 Dywedodd yntau wrthynt, "Da y proffwydodd Eseia amdanoch chwi ragrithwyr, fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig: 'Y mae'r bobl hyn yn fy anrhydeddu 'u gwefusau, ond y mae eu calon ymhell oddi wrthyf;
6But he answering said to them, Well did Esaias prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honour me with their lips, but their heart is far away from me.
7 yn ofer y maent yn fy addoli, gan ddysgu gorchmynion dynol fel athrawiaethau.'
7But in vain do they worship me, teaching [as their] teachings commandments of men.
8 Yr ydych yn anwybyddu gorchymyn Duw ac yn glynu wrth draddodiad dynol."
8[For], leaving the commandment of God, ye hold what is delivered by men [to keep] -- washings of vessels and cups, and many other such like things ye do.
9 Meddai hefyd wrthynt, "Rhai da ydych chwi am wrthod gorchymyn Duw er mwyn cadarnhau eich traddodiad eich hunain.
9And he said to them, Well do ye set aside the commandment of God, that ye may observe what is delivered by yourselves [to keep].
10 Oherwydd dywedodd Moses, 'Anrhydedda dy dad a'th fam', a, 'Bydded farw'n gelain y sawl a felltithia ei dad neu ei fam.'
10For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, he who speaks ill of father or mother, let him surely die.
11 Ond yr ydych chwi'n dweud, 'Os dywed rhywun wrth ei dad neu ei fam, "Corban (hynny yw, Offrwm i Dduw) yw beth bynnag y gallasit ei dderbyn yn gymorth gennyf fi",'
11But *ye* say, If a man say to his father or his mother, [It is] corban (that is, gift), whatsoever thou mightest have profit from me by ...
12 ni adewch iddo mwyach wneud dim i'w dad neu i'w fam.
12And ye no longer suffer him to do anything for his father or his mother;
13 Yr ydych yn dirymu gair Duw trwy'r traddodiad a drosglwyddir gennych. Ac yr ydych yn gwneud llawer o bethau cyffelyb i hynny."
13making void the word of God by your traditional teaching which ye have delivered; and many such like things ye do.
14 Galwodd y dyrfa ato drachefn ac meddai wrthynt, "Gwrandewch arnaf bawb, a deallwch.
14And having called again the crowd, he said to them, Hear me, all [of you], and understand:
15 Nid oes dim sy'n mynd i mewn i rywun o'r tu allan iddo yn gallu ei halogi; ond y pethau sy'n dod allan o rywun, dyna sy'n ei halogi."
15There is nothing from outside a man entering into him which can defile him; but the things which go out from him, those it is which defile the man.
16 [{cf15i Os oes gan rywun glustiau i wrando, gwrandawed.}]
16If any one have ears to hear, let him hear.
17 Ac wedi iddo fynd i'r tu375? oddi wrth y dyrfa, dechreuodd ei ddisgyblion ei holi am y ddameg.
17And when he went indoors from the crowd, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 Meddai yntau wrthynt, "A ydych chwithau hefyd yr un mor ddi-ddeall? Oni welwch na all dim sy'n mynd i mewn i rywun o'r tu allan ei halogi,
18And he says to them, Are *ye* also thus unintelligent? Do ye not perceive that all that is outside entering into the man cannot defile him,
19 oherwydd nid yw'n mynd i'w galon ond i'w gylla, ac yna y mae'n mynd allan i'r geudy?" Felly y cyhoeddodd ef yr holl fwydydd yn ln.
19because it does not enter into his heart but into his belly, and goes out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 Ac meddai, "Yr hyn sy'n dod allan o rywun, dyna sy'n ei halogi.
20And he said, That which goes forth out of the man, that defiles the man.
21 Oherwydd o'r tu mewn, o galon dynion, y daw allan feddyliau drwg, puteinio, lladrata, llofruddio,
21For from within, out of the heart of men, go forth evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 godinebu, trachwantu, anfadwaith, twyll, anlladrwydd, cenfigen, cabledd, balchder, ynfydrwydd;
22thefts, covetousness, wickednesses, deceit, licentiousness, a wicked eye, injurious language, haughtiness, folly;
23 o'r tu mewn y mae'r holl ddrygau hyn yn dod ac yn halogi rhywun."
23all these wicked things go forth from within and defile the man.
24 Cychwynnodd oddi yno ac aeth ymaith i gyffiniau Tyrus. Aeth i du375?, ac ni fynnai i neb wybod; ond ni lwyddodd i ymguddio.
24And he rose up and went away thence into the borders of Tyre and Sidon; and having entered into a house he would not have any one know [it], and he could not be hid.
25 Ar unwaith clywodd gwraig amdano, gwraig yr oedd gan ei merch fach ysbryd aflan, a daeth a syrthiodd wrth ei draed ef.
25But immediately a woman, whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, came and fell at his feet
26 Groeges oedd y wraig, Syroffeniciad o genedl; ac yr oedd yn gofyn iddo fwrw'r cythraul allan o'i merch.
26(and the woman was a Greek, Syrophenician by race), and asked him that he would cast the demon out of her daughter.
27 Meddai yntau wrthi, "Gad i'r plant gael digon yn gyntaf; nid yw'n deg cymryd bara'r plant a'i daflu i'r cu373?n."
27But [Jesus] said to her, Suffer the children to be first filled; for it is not right to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs.
28 Atebodd hithau ef, "Syr, y mae hyd yn oed y cu373?n o dan y bwrdd yn bwyta o friwsion y plant."
28But she answered and says to him, Yea, Lord; for even the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
29 "Am iti ddweud hynny," ebe yntau, "dos adref; y mae'r cythraul wedi mynd allan o'th ferch."
29And he said to her, Because of this word, go thy way, the demon is gone out of thy daughter.
30 Aeth hithau adref a chafodd y plentyn yn gorwedd ar y gwely, a'r cythraul wedi mynd ymaith.
30And having gone away to her house she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed.
31 Dychwelodd drachefn o gyffiniau Tyrus, a daeth drwy Sidon at Fr Galilea trwy ganol bro'r Decapolis.
31And again having left the borders of Tyre and Sidon, he came to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
32 Dygasant ato ddyn byddar oedd prin yn gallu siarad, a cheisio ganddo roi ei law arno.
32And they bring to him a deaf [man] who could not speak right, and they beseech him that he might lay his hand on him.
33 Cymerodd yntau ef o'r neilltu oddi wrth y dyrfa ar ei ben ei hun; rhoes ei fysedd yn ei glustiau, poerodd, a chyffyrddodd 'i dafod;
33And having taken him away from the crowd apart, he put his fingers to his ears; and having spit, he touched his tongue;
34 a chan edrych i fyny i'r nef ochneidiodd a dweud wrtho, "Ephphatha", hynny yw, "Agorer di".
34and looking up to heaven he groaned, and says to him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
35 Agorwyd ei glustiau ar unwaith, a datodwyd rhwym ei dafod a dechreuodd lefaru'n eglur.
35And immediately his ears were opened, and the band of his tongue was loosed and he spoke right.
36 A gorchmynnodd iddynt beidio dweud wrth neb; ond po fwyaf yr oedd ef yn gorchymyn iddynt, mwyaf yn y byd yr oeddent hwy'n cyhoeddi'r peth.
36And he charged them that they should speak to no one [of it]. But so much the more *he* charged them, so much the more abundantly *they* proclaimed it;
37 Yr oeddent yn synnu'n fawr dros ben, gan ddweud, "Da y gwnaeth ef bob peth; y mae'n gwneud hyd yn oed i fyddariaid glywed ac i fudion lefaru."
37and they were astonished above measure, saying, He does all things well; he makes both the deaf to hear, and the speechless to speak.
