¹ Y mae'r drygionus yn ffoi heb i neb ei erlid, ond fe saif y cyfiawn yn gadarn fel llew.

¹The wicked flee when no man pursueth; but the righteous are bold as a lion.

² Pan fydd gwlad mewn gwrthryfel bydd nifer o arweinwyr, ond trwy bobl synhwyrol a deallus y sefydlir trefn.

²By the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof; but by a man of understanding [and] of knowledge, [its] stability is prolonged.

³ Y mae un tlawd yn gorthrymu tlodion, fel glaw yn curo cnwd heb adael cynnyrch.

³A poor man who oppresseth the helpless is a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.

⁴ Y mae'r rhai sy'n cefnu ar y gyfraith yn canmol y drygionus, ond y mae'r rhai sy'n cadw'r gyfraith yn ymladd yn eu herbyn.

⁴They that forsake the law praise the wicked; but such as keep the law contend with them.

⁵ Nid yw pobl ddrwg yn deall beth yw cyfiawnder, ond y mae'r rhai sy'n ceisio'r ARGLWYDD yn deall y cyfan.

⁵Evil men understand not judgment; but they that seek Jehovah understand everything.

⁶ Y mae'n well bod yn dlawd, a rhodio'n gywir, na bod yn gyfoethog ac yn droellog ei ffyrdd.

⁶Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse, double in ways, though he be rich.

⁷ Y mae plentyn deallus yn cadw'r gyfraith, ond y mae'r un sy'n cyfeillachu �'r glwth yn dwyn anfri ar ei rieni.

⁷Whoso observeth the law is a son that hath understanding; but he that is a companion of profligates bringeth shame to his father.

⁸ Y mae'r un sy'n cynyddu ei gyfoeth trwy log ac usuriaeth yn ei gasglu i'r un sy'n garedig wrth y tlawd.

⁸He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance gathereth it for him that is gracious to the poor.

⁹ Pwy bynnag sy'n gwrthod gwrando ar y gyfraith, bydd ei weddi ef yn ffieidd-dra.

⁹He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.

¹⁰ Bydd yr un sy'n camarwain yr uniawn i ffordd ddrwg yn syrthio ei hun i'r pwll a wnaeth; ond caiff y cywir etifeddiaeth dda.

¹⁰Whoso causeth the upright to go astray in an evil way, shall himself fall into his own pit; but the perfect shall inherit good.

¹¹ Y mae'r cyfoethog yn ddoeth yn ei olwg ei hun, ond y mae'r tlawd deallus yn gweld trwyddo.

¹¹A rich man is wise in his own eyes; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

¹² Pan yw'r cyfiawn yn llywodraethu, ceir urddas mawr; ond pan ddaw'r drygionus i awdurdod, bydd pobl yn ymguddio.

¹²When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men conceal themselves.

¹³ Ni lwydda'r un sy'n cuddio'i droseddau, ond y mae'r un sy'n eu cyffesu ac yn cefnu arnynt yn cael trugaredd.

¹³He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall obtain mercy.

¹⁴ Gwyn ei fyd y sawl sy'n ofni'r ARGLWYDD yn wastad; ond y mae'r un sy'n caledu ei galon yn disgyn i ddinistr.

¹⁴Happy is the man that feareth always; but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into evil.

¹⁵ Fel llew yn rhuo, neu arth yn rhuthro, felly y mae un drygionus yn llywodraethu pobl dlawd.

¹⁵A roaring lion, and a ranging bear, is a wicked ruler over a poor people.

¹⁶ Y mae llywodraethwr heb ddeall yn pentyrru trawster, ond y mae'r un sy'n cas�u llwgrwobr yn estyn ei ddyddiau.

¹⁶The prince void of intelligence is also a great oppressor: he that hateth covetousness shall prolong [his] days.

¹⁷ Y mae un sy'n euog o dywallt gwaed yn ffoi i gyfeiriad y pwll; peidied neb �'i atal.

¹⁷A man laden with the blood of [any] person, fleeth to the pit: let no man stay him.

¹⁸ Y mae'r un sy'n rhodio'n gywir yn ddiogel, ond y mae'r sawl sy'n droellog ei ffyrdd yn syrthio i'r pwll.

¹⁸Whoso walketh in integrity shall be saved; but he that is perverted in [his] double ways, shall fall in one [of them].

¹⁹ Y mae'r un sy'n trin ei dir yn cael digon o fwyd, ond y mae'r sawl sy'n dilyn oferedd yn llawn tlodi.

¹⁹He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread; but he that followeth the worthless shall have poverty enough.

²⁰ Caiff y ffyddlon lawer o fendithion, ond ni fydd yr un sydd ar frys i ymgyfoethogi heb ei gosb.

²⁰A faithful man aboundeth with blessings; but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

²¹ Nid yw'n iawn dangos ffafr, ac eto fe drosedda rhywun am damaid o fara.

²¹To have respect of persons is not good; but for a piece of bread will a man transgress.

²² Y mae un cybyddlyd yn rhuthro am gyfoeth; nid yw'n ystyried y daw arno angen.

²²He that hath an evil eye hasteth after wealth, and knoweth not that poverty shall come upon him.

²³ Caiff y sawl sy'n ceryddu fwy o barch yn y diwedd na'r un sy'n gwenieithio.

²³He that rebuketh a man shall afterwards find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

²⁴ Y mae'r un sy'n lladrata oddi ar ei dad neu ei fam, ac yn dweud nad yw'n drosedd, yn gymar i'r un sy'n dinistrio.

²⁴Whoso robbeth his father and his mother, and saith, It is no transgression, the same is the companion of a destroyer.

²⁵ Y mae'r trachwantus yn creu cynnen, ond y mae'r un sy'n ymddiried yn yr ARGLWYDD yn cael llawnder.

²⁵He that is puffed up in soul exciteth contention; but he that relieth upon Jehovah shall be made fat.

²⁶ Y mae'r un sy'n ymddiried ynddo'i hun yn ynfyd, ond fe waredir y sawl sy'n dilyn doethineb.

²⁶He that confideth in his own heart is a fool; but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

²⁷ Ni ddaw angen ar yr un sy'n rhoi i'r tlawd, ond daw llawer o felltithion ar yr un sy'n cau ei lygaid.

²⁷He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack; but he that withdraweth his eyes shall have many a curse.

²⁸ Pan ddaw'r drygionus i awdurdod, bydd pobl yn ymguddio, ond ar �l eu difa, bydd y cyfiawn yn amlhau.

²⁸When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous increase.
