1 Diolchwch i'r ARGLWYDD, oherwydd da yw, ac y mae ei gariad hyd byth.
1Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
2 Fel yna dyweded y rhai a waredwyd gan yr ARGLWYDD, y rhai a waredodd ef o law'r gelyn,
2Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the oppressor,
3 a'u cynnull ynghyd o'r gwledydd, o'r dwyrain a'r gorllewin, o'r gogledd a'r de.
3And gathered out of the countries, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
4 Aeth rhai ar goll mewn anialdir a diffeithwch, heb gael ffordd at ddinas i fyw ynddi;
4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way, they found no city of habitation;
5 yr oeddent yn newynog ac yn sychedig, ac yr oedd eu nerth yn pallu.
5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them:
6 Yna gwaeddasant ar yr ARGLWYDD yn eu cyfyngder, a gwaredodd hwy o'u hadfyd;
6Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses,
7 arweiniodd hwy ar hyd ffordd union i fynd i ddinas i fyw ynddi.
7And he led them forth by a right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Bydded iddynt ddiolch i'r ARGLWYDD am ei gariad, ac am ei ryfeddodau i ddynolryw.
8Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
9 Oherwydd rhoes eu digon i'r sychedig, a llenwi'r newynog phethau daionus.
9For he hath satisfied the longing soul and filled the hungry soul with good.
10 Yr oedd rhai yn eistedd mewn tywyllwch dudew, yn gaethion mewn gofid a haearn,
10Such as inhabit darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron,
11 am iddynt wrthryfela yn erbyn geiriau Duw, a dirmygu cyngor y Goruchaf.
11Because they had rebelled against the words of ùGod, and had despised the counsel of the Most High; ...
12 Llethwyd eu calon gan flinder; syrthiasant heb neb i'w hachub.
12And he bowed down their heart with labour; they stumbled, and there was none to help:
13 Yna gwaeddasant ar yr ARGLWYDD yn eu cyfyngder, a gwaredodd ef hwy o'u hadfyd;
13Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saved them out of their distresses;
14 daeth hwy allan o'r tywyllwch dudew, a drylliodd eu gefynnau.
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.
15 Bydded iddynt ddiolch i'r ARGLWYDD am ei gariad, ac am ei ryfeddodau i ddynolryw.
15Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
16 Oherwydd torrodd byrth pres, a drylliodd farrau heyrn.
16For he hath broken the gates of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron.
17 Yr oedd rhai yn ynfyd; oherwydd eu ffyrdd pechadurus a'u camwedd fe'u cystuddiwyd;
17Fools, because of their way of transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18 aethant i gasu pob math o fwyd, a daethant yn agos at byrth angau.
18Their soul abhorreth all manner of food, and they draw near unto the gates of death:
19 Yna gwaeddasant ar yr ARGLWYDD yn eu cyfyngder, a gwaredodd ef hwy o'u hadfyd;
19Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saveth them out of their distresses;
20 anfonodd ei air ac iachaodd hwy, a gwaredodd hwy o ddistryw.
20He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their destructions.
21 Bydded iddynt ddiolch i'r ARGLWYDD am ei gariad, ac am ei ryfeddodau i ddynolryw.
21Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men,
22 Bydded iddynt ddod ag offrymau diolch, a dweud am ei weithredoedd mewn gorfoledd.
22And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works in joyful song.
23 Aeth rhai i'r mr mewn llongau, a gwneud eu gorchwylion ar ddyfroedd mawr;
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters,
24 gwelsant hwy weithredoedd yr ARGLWYDD, a'i ryfeddodau yn y dyfnder.
24These see the works of Jehovah, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Pan lefarai ef, deuai gwynt stormus, a pheri i'r tonnau godi'n uchel.
25For he speaketh, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof:
26 Cawsant eu codi i'r nefoedd a'u bwrw i'r dyfnder, a phallodd eu dewrder yn y trybini;
26They mount up to the heavens, they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble;
27 yr oeddent yn troi yn simsan fel meddwyn, ac wedi colli eu holl fedr.
27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and they are at their wits' end:
28 Yna gwaeddasant ar yr ARGLWYDD yn eu cyfyngder, a gwaredodd ef hwy o'u hadfyd;
28Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses;
29 gwnaeth i'r storm dawelu, ac aeth y tonnau'n ddistaw;
29He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still:
30 yr oeddent yn llawen am iddi lonyddu, ac arweiniodd hwy i'r hafan a ddymunent.
30And they rejoice because they are quiet; and he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31 Bydded iddynt ddiolch i'r ARGLWYDD am ei gariad, ac am ei ryfeddodau i ddynolryw.
31Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
32 Bydded iddynt ei ddyrchafu yng nghynulleidfa'r bobl, a'i foliannu yng nghyngor yr henuriaid.
32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the session of the elders.
33 Y mae ef yn troi afonydd yn ddiffeithwch, a ffynhonnau dyfroedd yn sychdir;
33He maketh rivers into a wilderness, and water-springs into dry ground;
34 y mae ef yn troi tir ffrwythlon yn grastir, oherwydd drygioni'r rhai sy'n byw yno.
34A fruitful land into a plain of salt, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35 Y mae ef yn troi diffeithwch yn llynnau du373?r, a thir sych yn ffynhonnau.
35He maketh the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs;
36 Gwna i'r newynog fyw yno, a sefydlant ddinas i fyw ynddi;
36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;
37 heuant feysydd a phlannu gwinwydd, a chnt gnydau toreithiog.
37And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase;
38 Bydd ef yn eu bendithio ac yn eu hamlhau, ac ni fydd yn gadael i'w gwartheg leihau.
38And he blesseth them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39 Pan fyddant yn lleihau ac wedi eu darostwng trwy orthrwm, helbul a gofid,
39And they are diminished and brought low, through oppression, adversity, and sorrow:
40 bydd ef yn tywallt gwarth ar dywysogion, ac yn peri iddynt grwydro trwy'r anialwch diarffordd.
40He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
41 Ond bydd yn codi'r tlawd o'i ofid, ac yn gwneud ei deulu fel praidd.
41But he secureth the needy one on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like flocks.
42 Bydd yr uniawn yn gweld ac yn llawenhau, ond pob un drygionus yn atal ei dafod.
42The upright shall see it, and rejoice; and all unrighteousness shall stop its mouth.
43 Pwy bynnag sydd ddoeth, rhoed sylw i'r pethau hyn; bydded iddynt ystyried ffyddlondeb yr ARGLWYDD.
43Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them understand the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah.
