1 Molwch yr ARGLWYDD. Diolchwch i'r ARGLWYDD, oherwydd da yw, ac y mae ei gariad hyd byth.
1Hallelujah! Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
2 Pwy all draethu gweithredoedd nerthol yr ARGLWYDD, neu gyhoeddi ei holl foliant?
2Who can utter the mighty acts of Jehovah? [who] can shew forth all his praise?
3 Gwyn eu byd y rhai sy'n cadw barn, ac yn gwneud cyfiawnder bob amser.
3Blessed are they that keep justice, [and] he that doeth righteousness at all times.
4 Cofia fi, ARGLWYDD, pan wnei ffafr 'th bobl; ymwl mi, pan fyddi'n gwaredu,
4Remember me, O Jehovah, with [thy] favour toward thy people; visit me with thy salvation:
5 imi gael gweld llwyddiant y rhai a ddewisi, a llawenhau yn llawenydd dy genedl, a gorfoleddu gyda'th etifeddiaeth di.
5That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the joy of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
6 Yr ydym ni, fel ein hynafiaid, wedi pechu; yr ydym wedi troseddu a gwneud drygioni.
6We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
7 Pan oedd ein hynafiaid yn yr Aifft ni wnaethant sylw o'th ryfeddodau, na chofio maint dy ffyddlondeb, ond gwrthryfela yn erbyn y Goruchaf ger y Mr Coch.
7Our fathers in Egypt considered not thy wondrous works; they remembered not the multitude of thy loving-kindnesses; but they rebelled at the sea, at the Red Sea.
8 Ond gwaredodd ef hwy er mwyn ei enw, er mwyn dangos ei rym.
8Yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make known his might.
9 Ceryddodd y Mr Coch ac fe sychodd, ac arweiniodd hwy trwy'r dyfnder fel pe trwy'r anialwch.
9And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; and he led them through the deeps as through a wilderness.
10 Gwaredodd hwy o law'r rhai oedd yn eu casu, a'u harbed o law'r gelyn.
10And he saved them from the hand of him that hated [them], and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 Caeodd y dyfroedd am eu gwrthwynebwyr, ac nid arbedwyd yr un ohonynt.
11And the waters covered their oppressors: there was not one of them left.
12 Yna credasant ei eiriau, a chanu mawl iddo.
12Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.
13 Ond yn fuan yr oeddent wedi anghofio ei weithredoedd, ac nid oeddent yn aros am ei gyngor.
13They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:
14 Daeth eu blys drostynt yn yr anialwch, ac yr oeddent yn profi Duw yn y diffeithwch.
14And they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted ùGod in the desert.
15 Rhoes yntau iddynt yr hyn yr oeddent yn ei ofyn, ond anfonodd nychdod i'w mysg.
15Then he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
16 Yr oeddent yn cenfigennu yn y gwersyll wrth Moses, a hefyd wrth Aaron, un sanctaidd yr ARGLWYDD.
16And they envied Moses in the camp, [and] Aaron, the saint of Jehovah.
17 Yna agorodd y ddaear a llyncu Dathan, a gorchuddio cwmni Abiram.
17The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram;
18 Torrodd tn allan ymhlith y cwmni, a llosgwyd y drygionus yn y fflamau.
18And fire was kindled in their company; a flame burned up the wicked.
19 Gwnaethant lo yn Horeb, ac ymgrymu i'r ddelw,
19They made a calf in Horeb, and did homage to a molten image;
20 gan newid yr un oedd yn ogoniant iddynt am ddelw o ych yn pori gwellt.
20And they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.
21 Yr oeddent wedi anghofio Duw, eu Gwaredydd, a oedd wedi gwneud pethau mawrion yn yr Aifft,
21They forgot ùGod their Saviour, who had done great things in Egypt,
22 pethau rhyfeddol yng ngwlad Ham, a phethau ofnadwy ger y Mr Coch.
22Wondrous works in the land of Ham, terrible things by the Red Sea.
23 Felly dywedodd ef y byddai'n eu dinistrio, oni bai i Moses, yr un a ddewisodd, sefyll yn y bwlch o'i flaen, i droi'n l ei ddigofaint rhag eu dinistrio.
23And he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses, his chosen, stood before him in the breach, to turn away his fury, lest he should destroy [them].
24 Yna bu iddynt ddilorni'r wlad hyfryd, ac nid oeddent yn credu ei air;
24And they despised the pleasant land; they believed not his word,
25 yr oeddent yn grwgnach yn eu pebyll, a heb wrando ar lais yr ARGLWYDD.
25But murmured in their tents: they hearkened not unto the voice of Jehovah.
26 Cododd yntau ei law a thyngu y byddai'n peri iddynt syrthio yn yr anialwch,
26And he lifted up his hand to them, that he would make them fall in the wilderness;
27 ac yn gwasgaru eu disgynyddion i blith y cenhedloedd, a'u chwalu trwy'r gwledydd.
27And that he would make their seed fall among the nations, and disperse them through the countries.
28 Yna aethant i gyfathrach  Baal-peor, a bwyta ebyrth y meirw;
28And they joined themselves unto Baal-Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead;
29 yr oeddent wedi cythruddo'r ARGLWYDD 'u gweithredoedd, a thorrodd pla allan yn eu mysg.
29And they provoked [him] to anger with their doings; and a plague broke out among them.
30 Ond cododd Phinees a'u barnu, ac ataliwyd y pla.
30Then stood up Phinehas and executed judgment, and the plague was stayed;
31 A chyfrifwyd hyn yn gyfiawnder iddo dros y cenedlaethau am byth.
31And that was reckoned unto him for righteousness, from generation to generation, for evermore.
32 Bu iddynt gythruddo'r Arglwydd hefyd wrth ddyfroedd Meriba, a bu'n ddrwg ar Moses o'u plegid,
32And they moved him to wrath at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses on their account;
33 oherwydd gwnaethant ei ysbryd yn chwerw, ac fe lefarodd yntau yn fyrbwyll.
33For they provoked his spirit, so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.
34 Ni fu iddynt ddinistrio'r bobloedd y dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD amdanynt,
34They did not destroy the peoples, as Jehovah commanded them;
35 ond cymysgu gyda'r cenhedloedd, a dysgu gwneud fel hwythau.
35But they mingled with the nations, and learned their works;
36 Yr oeddent yn addoli eu delwau, a bu hynny'n fagl iddynt.
36And they served their idols; and they were a snare unto them:
37 Yr oeddent yn aberthu eu meibion a'u merched i'r demoniaid.
37And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons,
38 Yr oeddent yn tywallt gwaed dieuog, gwaed eu meibion a'u merched yr oeddent yn eu haberthu i ddelwau Canaan; a halogwyd y ddaear 'u gwaed.
38And shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Felly aethant yn aflan trwy'r hyn a wnaent, ac yn buteiniaid trwy eu gweithredoedd.
39And they were defiled with their works, and went a-whoring in their doings.
40 Yna cythruddodd dicter yr ARGLWYDD yn erbyn ei bobl, a ffieiddiodd ei etifeddiaeth;
40Then was the anger of Jehovah kindled against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance;
41 rhoddodd hwy yn llaw'r cenhedloedd, a llywodraethwyd hwy gan y rhai oedd yn eu casu;
41And he gave them into the hand of the nations; and they that hated them ruled over them:
42 fe'u gorthrymwyd gan eu gelynion, a'u darostwng dan eu hawdurdod.
42And their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
43 Lawer gwaith y gwaredodd hwy, ond yr oeddent hwy yn wrthryfelgar eu bwriad, ac yn cael eu darostwng oherwydd eu drygioni.
43Often did he deliver them; but as for them they provoked [him] by their counsel, and they were brought low by their iniquity.
44 Er hynny, cymerodd sylw o'u cyfyngder pan glywodd eu cri am gymorth;
44But he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry;
45 cofiodd ei gyfamod  hwy, ac edifarhau oherwydd ei gariad mawr;
45And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving-kindnesses;
46 parodd iddynt gael trugaredd gan bawb oedd yn eu caethiwo.
46And he caused them to find compassion of all those that had carried them captives.
47 Gwareda ni, O ARGLWYDD ein Duw, a chynnull ni o blith y cenhedloedd, inni gael rhoi diolch i'th enw sanctaidd, ac ymhyfrydu yn dy fawl.
47Save us, Jehovah our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks unto thy holy name, [and] to triumph in thy praise.
48 Bendigedig fyddo'r ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel, o dragwyddoldeb hyd dragwyddoldeb; dyweded yr holl bobl, "Amen." Molwch yr ARGLWYDD.
48Blessed be Jehovah the God of Israel, from eternity and to eternity! And let all the people say, Amen! Hallelujah!
