Darby's Translation

Psalms

105

1 Diolchwch i'r ARGLWYDD. Galwch ar ei enw, gwnewch yn hysbys ei weithredoedd ymysg y bobloedd.
1Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.
2 Canwch iddo, moliannwch ef, dywedwch am ei holl ryfeddodau.
2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.
3 Gorfoleddwch yn ei enw sanctaidd; llawenhaed calon y rhai sy'n ceisio'r ARGLWYDD.
3Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.
4 Ceisiwch yr ARGLWYDD a'i nerth, ceisiwch ei wyneb bob amser.
4Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;
5 Cofiwch y rhyfeddodau a wnaeth, ei wyrthiau a'r barnedigaethau a gyhoeddodd,
5Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:
6 chwi ddisgynyddion Abraham, ei was, disgynyddion Jacob, ei etholedig.
6Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7 Ef yw'r ARGLWYDD ein Duw, ac y mae ei farnedigaethau dros yr holl ddaear.
7He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
8 Y mae'n cofio ei gyfamod dros byth, gair ei orchymyn hyd fil o genedlaethau,
8He is ever mindful of his covenant, -- the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, --
9 sef y cyfamod a wnaeth ag Abraham, a'i lw i Isaac
9Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
10 yr hyn a osododd yn ddeddf i Jacob, ac yn gyfamod tragwyddol i Israel,
10And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,
11 a dweud, "I chwi y rhoddaf wlad Canaan yn gyfran eich etifeddiaeth."
11Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
12 Pan oeddent yn fychan o rif, yn ychydig, ac yn grwydriaid yn y wlad,
12When they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.
13 yn crwydro o genedl i genedl, ac o un deyrnas at bobl eraill,
13And they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
14 ni adawodd i neb eu darostwng, ond ceryddodd frenhinoedd o'u hachos,
14He suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,
15 a dweud, "Peidiwch chyffwrdd 'm heneiniog, na gwneud niwed i'm proffwydi."
15[Saying,] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
16 Pan alwodd am newyn dros y wlad, a thorri ymaith eu cynhaliaeth o fara,
16And he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.
17 yr oedd wedi anfon gu373?r o'u blaenau, Joseff, a werthwyd yn gaethwas.
17He sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.
18 Doluriwyd ei draed yn y cyffion, a rhoesant haearn am ei wddf,
18They afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;
19 nes i'r hyn a ddywedodd ef ddod yn wir, ac i air yr ARGLWYDD ei brofi'n gywir.
19Until the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.
20 Anfonodd y brenin i'w ryddhau  brenin y cenhedloedd yn ei wneud yn rhydd;
20The king sent and loosed him -- the ruler of peoples -- and let him go free.
21 gwnaeth ef yn feistr ar ei du375?, ac yn llywodraethwr ar ei holl eiddo,
21He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:
22 i hyfforddi ei dywysogion yn l ei ddymuniad, ac i ddysgu doethineb i'w henuriaid.
22To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
23 Yna daeth Israel hefyd i'r Aifft, a Jacob i grwydro yn nhir Ham.
23And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 A gwnaeth yr Arglwydd ei bobl yn ffrwythlon iawn, ac aethant yn gryfach na'u gelynion.
24And he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.
25 Trodd yntau eu calon i gasu ei bobl, ac i ymddwyn yn ddichellgar at ei weision.
25He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
26 Yna anfonodd ei was Moses, ac Aaron, yr un yr oedd wedi ei ddewis,
26He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen:
27 a thrwy eu geiriau hwy gwnaeth arwyddion a gwyrthiau yn nhir Ham.
27They set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.
28 Anfonodd dywyllwch, ac aeth yn dywyll, eto yr oeddent yn gwrthryfela yn erbyn ei eiriau.
28He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29 Trodd eu dyfroedd yn waed, a lladdodd eu pysgod.
29He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.
30 Llanwyd eu tir llyffaint, hyd yn oed ystafelloedd eu brenhinoedd.
30Their land swarmed with frogs, -- in the chambers of their kings.
31 Pan lefarodd ef, daeth haid o bryfed a llau trwy'r holl wlad.
31He spoke, and there came dog-flies, [and] gnats in all their borders.
32 Rhoes iddynt genllysg yn lle glaw, a mellt yn fflachio trwy eu gwlad.
32He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land;
33 Trawodd y gwinwydd a'r ffigyswydd, a malurio'r coed trwy'r wlad.
33And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.
34 Pan lefarodd ef, daeth locustiaid a lindys heb rifedi,
34He spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;
35 nes iddynt fwyta'r holl laswellt trwy'r wlad, a difa holl gynnyrch y ddaear.
35And they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36 A thrawodd bob cyntafanedig yn y wlad, blaenffrwyth eu holl nerth.
36And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.
37 Yna dygodd hwy allan gydag arian ac aur, ac nid oedd un yn baglu ymysg y llwythau.
37And he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.
38 Llawenhaodd yr Eifftiaid pan aethant allan, oherwydd bod arnynt eu hofn hwy.
38Egypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39 Lledaenodd gwmwl i'w gorchuddio, a thn i oleuo iddynt yn y nos.
39He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
40 Pan fu iddynt ofyn, anfonodd soflieir iddynt, a digonodd hwy bara'r nefoedd.
40They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 Holltodd graig nes bod du373?r yn pistyllio, ac yn llifo fel afon trwy'r diffeithwch.
41He opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.
42 Oherwydd yr oedd yn cofio ei addewid sanctaidd i Abraham ei was.
42For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant;
43 Dygodd ei bobl allan mewn llawenydd, ei rai etholedig mewn gorfoledd.
43And he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;
44 Rhoes iddynt diroedd y cenhedloedd, a chymerasant feddiant o ffrwyth llafur pobloedd,
44And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:
45 er mwyn iddynt gadw ei ddeddfau, ac ufuddhau i'w gyfreithiau. Molwch yr ARGLWYDD.
45That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!
