¹ 1 I'r Cyfarwyddwr: Salm. I Ddafydd.0 O ARGLWYDD, gwared fi rhag pobl ddrygionus; cadw fi rhag rhai sy'n gorthrymu,

¹{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Free me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; preserve me from the violent man:

² rhai sy'n cynllunio drygioni yn eu calon, a phob amser yn codi cythrwfl.

²Who devise mischiefs in [their] heart; every day are they banded together for war.

³ Y mae eu tafod yn finiog fel sarff, ac y mae gwenwyn gwiber dan eu gwefusau. Sela.

³They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

⁴ O ARGLWYDD, arbed fi rhag dwylo'r drygionus; cadw fi rhag rhai sy'n gorthrymu, rhai sy'n cynllunio i faglu fy nhraed.

⁴Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked [man], preserve me from the violent man, who devise to overthrow my steps.

⁵ Bu rhai trahaus yn cuddio magl i mi, a rhai dinistriol yn taenu rhwyd, ac yn gosod maglau ar ymyl y ffordd. Sela.

⁵The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the way-side; they have set traps for me. Selah.

⁶ Dywedais wrth yr ARGLWYDD, "Fy Nuw wyt ti"; gwrando, O ARGLWYDD, ar lef fy ngweddi.

⁶I have said unto Jehovah, Thou art my ùGod: give ear, O Jehovah, to the voice of my supplications.

⁷ O ARGLWYDD Dduw, fy iachawdwriaeth gadarn, cuddiaist fy mhen yn nydd brwydr.

⁷Jehovah, the Lord, is the strength of my salvation: thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

⁸ O ARGLWYDD, paid � rhoi eu dymuniad i'r drygionus, paid � llwyddo eu bwriad. Sela.

⁸Grant not, O Jehovah, the desire of the wicked; further not his device: they would exalt themselves. Selah.

⁹ Y mae rhai o'm hamgylch yn codi eu pen, ond bydded i ddrygioni eu gwefusau eu llethu.

⁹[As for] the head of those that encompass me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

¹⁰ Bydded i farwor tanllyd syrthio arnynt; bwrier hwy i ffosydd dyfnion heb allu codi.

¹⁰Let burning coals fall on them; let them be cast into the fire; into deep waters, that they rise not up again.

¹¹ Na fydded lle i'r enllibus yn y wlad; bydded i ddrygioni ymlid y gorthrymwr yn ddiarbed.

¹¹Let not the man of [evil] tongue be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the man of violence to [his] ruin.

¹² Gwn y gwna'r ARGLWYDD gyfiawnder �'r truan, ac y rhydd farn i'r anghenus.

¹²I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted one, the right of the needy.

¹³ Yn sicr bydd y cyfiawn yn clodfori dy enw; bydd yr uniawn yn byw yn dy bresenoldeb.

¹³Yea, the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name; the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
