1 1 Gweddi. I Ddafydd.0 Gwrando, ARGLWYDD, gri am gyfiawnder; rho sylw i'm llef a gwrandawiad i'm gweddi oddi ar wefusau didwyll.
1{A Prayer of David.} Hear the right, O Jehovah, attend unto my cry; give ear unto my prayer, which is not out of feigned lips.
2 Doed fy marn oddi wrthyt ti, edryched dy lygaid ar yr hyn sy'n iawn.
2Let my judgment come forth from thy presence, let thine eyes regard equity.
3 Profaist fy nghalon a'm gwylio yn y nos, chwiliaist fi ond heb gael drygioni ynof.
3Thou hast proved my heart, thou hast visited me by night; thou hast tried me, thou hast found nothing: my thought goeth not beyond my word.
4 Ni throseddodd fy ngenau fel y gwna eraill, ond fe gedwais eiriau dy wefusau.
4Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept from the paths of the violent [man].
5 Ar lwybrau'r anufudd byddai fy nghamau'n pallu, ond ar dy lwybrau di nid yw fy nhraed yn methu.
5When thou holdest my goings in thy paths, my footsteps slip not.
6 Gwaeddaf arnat ti am dy fod yn f'ateb, O Dduw; tro dy glust ataf, gwrando fy ngeiriau.
6I have called upon thee, for thou answerest me, O ùGod. Incline thine ear unto me, hear my speech.
7 Dangos dy ffyddlondeb rhyfeddol, ti, sy'n gwaredu 'th ddeheulaw y rhai sy'n llochesu ynot rhag eu gwrthwynebwyr.
7Shew wondrously thy loving-kindnesses, O thou that savest by thy right hand them that trust [in thee] from those that rise up [against them].
8 Cadw fi fel cannwyll dy lygad, cuddia fi dan gysgod dy adenydd
8Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
9 rhag y drygionus sy'n fy nistrywio, y gelynion sydd yn eu gwanc yn f'amgylchu.
9From the wicked that destroy me, my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
10 Maent wedi mygu tosturi, y mae eu genau'n llefaru balchder;
10They are enclosed in their own fat; with their mouth they speak proudly.
11 y maent ar fy sodlau ac ar gau amdanaf, wedi gosod eu bryd ar fy mwrw i'r llawr;
11They have now encompassed us in our steps; their eyes have they set, bowing down to the earth.
12 y maent fel llew yn barod i larpio, fel llew ifanc yn llechu yn ei guddfan.
12He is like a lion that is greedy of its prey, and as a young lion lurking in secret places.
13 Cyfod, ARGLWYDD, saf yn eu herbyn a'u bwrw i lawr! 'th gleddyf gwared fy mywyd rhag y drygionus;
13Arise, Jehovah, anticipate him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, thy sword;
14 'th law, ARGLWYDD, gwna ddiwedd arnynt, difa hwy o'u rhan yng nghanol bywyd. Llanwer eu bol 'r hyn sydd gennyt ar eu cyfer, bydded i'w plant gael digon, a chadw gweddill i'w babanod!
14From men [who are] thy hand, O Jehovah, from men of this age: their portion is in [this] life, and their belly thou fillest with thy hid [treasure]; they have their fill of sons, and leave the rest of their [substance] to their children.
15 Ond byddaf fi yn fy nghyfiawnder yn gweld dy wyneb; pan ddeffroaf, digonir fi o weld dy wedd.
15As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
