1 1 I Ddafydd, pan newidiodd ei wedd o flaen Abimelech, a chael ei yrru ymaith a mynd.0 Bendithiaf yr ARGLWYDD bob amser; bydd ei foliant yn wastad yn fy ngenau.
1{[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.} I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 Yn yr ARGLWYDD yr ymhyfrydaf; bydded i'r gostyngedig glywed a llawenychu.
2My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.
3 Mawrygwch yr ARGLWYDD gyda mi, a dyrchafwn ei enw gyda'n gilydd.
3Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 Ceisiais yr ARGLWYDD, ac atebodd fi a'm gwaredu o'm holl ofnau.
4I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Y mae'r rhai sy'n edrych arno'n gloywi, ac ni ddaw cywilydd i'w hwynebau.
5They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.
6 Dyma un isel a waeddodd, a'r ARGLWYDD yn ei glywed ac yn ei waredu o'i holl gyfyngderau.
6This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 Gwersylla angel yr ARGLWYDD o amgylch y rhai sy'n ei ofni, ac y mae'n eu gwaredu.
7The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 Profwch, a gwelwch mai da yw'r ARGLWYDD. Gwyn ei fyd y sawl sy'n llochesu ynddo.
8Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!
9 Ofnwch yr ARGLWYDD, ei saint ef, oherwydd nid oes eisiau ar y rhai a'i hofna.
9Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 Y mae'r anffyddwyr yn dioddef angen ac yn newynu, ond nid yw'r rhai sy'n ceisio'r ARGLWYDD yn brin o ddim da.
10The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.
11 Dewch, blant, gwrandewch arnaf, dysgaf ichwi ofn yr ARGLWYDD.
11Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
12 Pwy ohonoch sy'n dymuno bywyd ac a garai fyw'n hir i fwynhau daioni?
12What man is he that desireth life, [and] loveth days, that he may see good?
13 Cadw dy dafod rhag drygioni a'th wefusau rhag llefaru celwydd.
13Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;
14 Tro oddi wrth ddrygioni a gwna dda, ceisia heddwch a'i ddilyn.
14Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Y mae llygaid yr ARGLWYDD ar y cyfiawn, a'i glustiau'n agored i'w cri.
15The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;
16 Y mae wyneb yr ARGLWYDD yn erbyn y rhai sy'n gwneud drwg, i ddileu eu coffa o'r ddaear.
16The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth:
17 Pan waedda'r cyfiawn am gymorth, fe glyw'r ARGLWYDD a'u gwaredu o'u holl gyfyngderau.
17[The righteous] cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 Y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn agos at y drylliedig o galon ac yn gwaredu'r briwedig o ysbryd.
18Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
19 Llawer o adfyd a gaiff y cyfiawn, ond gwareda'r ARGLWYDD ef o'r cyfan.
19Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all:
20 Ceidw ei holl esgyrn, ac ni thorrir yr un ohonynt.
20He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.
21 Y mae adfyd yn lladd y drygionus, a chosbir y rhai sy'n casu'r cyfiawn.
21Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt.
22 Y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn gwaredu ei weision, ac ni chosbir y rhai sy'n llochesu ynddo.
22Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.
