1 1 I'r Cyfarwyddwr: Salm. I Ddafydd, pan ddaeth y proffwyd Nathan ato wedi iddo fynd at Bathseba.0 Bydd drugarog wrthyf, O Dduw, yn l dy ffyddlondeb; yn l dy fawr dosturi dilea fy nhroseddau;
1{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba.} Be gracious unto me, O God, according to thy loving-kindness; according to the abundance of thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
2 golch fi'n ln o'm drygioni, a glanha fi o'm pechod.
2Wash me fully from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 Oherwydd gwn am fy nhroseddau, ac y mae fy mhechod yn wastad gyda mi.
3For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is continually before me.
4 Yn dy erbyn di, ti yn unig, y pechais a gwneud yr hyn a ystyri'n ddrwg, fel dy fod yn gyfiawn yn dy ddedfryd, ac yn gywir yn dy farn.
4Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in thy sight; that thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, be clear when thou judgest.
5 Wele, mewn drygioni y'm ganwyd, ac mewn pechod y beichiogodd fy mam.
5Behold, in iniquity was I brought forth, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Wele, yr wyt yn dymuno gwirionedd oddi mewn; felly dysg imi ddoethineb yn y galon.
6Behold, thou wilt have truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden [part] thou wilt make me to know wisdom.
7 Pura fi ag isop fel y byddaf ln; golch fi fel y byddaf wynnach nag eira.
7Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Pr imi glywed gorfoledd a llawenydd, fel y bo i'r esgyrn a ddrylliaist lawenhau.
8Make me to hear gladness and joy; [that] the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Cuddia dy wyneb oddi wrth fy mhechodau, a dilea fy holl euogrwydd.
9Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Crea galon ln ynof, O Dduw, rho ysbryd newydd cadarn ynof.
10Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Paid 'm bwrw ymaith oddi wrthyt, na chymryd dy ysbryd sanctaidd oddi arnaf.
11Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not the spirit of thy holiness from me.
12 Dyro imi eto orfoledd dy iachawdwriaeth, a chynysgaedda fi ag ysbryd ufudd.
12Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and let a willing spirit sustain me.
13 Dysgaf dy ffyrdd i droseddwyr, fel y dychwelo'r pechaduriaid atat.
13I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall return unto thee.
14 Gwared fi rhag gwaed, O Dduw, Duw fy iachawdwriaeth, ac fe gn fy nhafod am dy gyfiawnder.
14Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 Arglwydd, agor fy ngwefusau, a bydd fy ngenau yn mynegi dy foliant.
15Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare thy praise.
16 Oherwydd nid wyt yn ymhyfrydu mewn aberth; pe dygwn boethoffrymau, ni fyddit fodlon.
16For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
17 Aberthau Duw yw ysbryd drylliedig; calon ddrylliedig a churiedig ni ddirmygi, O Dduw.
17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 Gwna ddaioni i Seion yn dy ras; adeilada furiau Jerwsalem.
18Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Yna fe ymhyfrydi mewn aberthau cywir poethoffrwm ac aberth llosg yna fe aberthir bustych ar dy allor.
19Then shalt thou have sacrifices of righteousness, burnt-offering, and whole burnt-offering; then shall they offer up bullocks upon thine altar.
