Psalms

59

1 1 I'r Cyfarwyddwr: ar Na Ddinistria. Michtam. I Ddafydd, pan anfonodd Saul rai i wylio ei gartref er mwyn ei ladd.0 Gwared fi oddi wrth fy ngelynion, O fy Nuw; amddiffyn fi rhag fy ngwrthwynebwyr.
1{To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' Of David. Michtam; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.} Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God; secure me on high from them that rise up against me.
2 Gwared fi oddi wrth wneuthurwyr drygioni, ac achub fi rhag rhai gwaedlyd.
2Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from men of blood.
3 Oherwydd wele, gosodant gynllwyn am fy einioes; y mae rhai cryfion yn ymosod arnaf. Heb fod trosedd na phechod ynof fi, ARGLWYDD,
3For behold, they lie in wait for my soul; strong ones are gathered against me: not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.
4 heb fod drygioni ynof fi, rhedant i baratoi i'm herbyn. Cyfod, tyrd ataf ac edrych.
4They run and prepare themselves without [my] fault: awake to meet me, and behold.
5 Ti, ARGLWYDD Dduw y lluoedd, yw Duw Israel; deffro a chosba'r holl genhedloedd; paid thrugarhau wrth y drygionus dichellgar. Sela.
5Yea, do thou, Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel, arise to visit all the nations: be not gracious to any plotters of iniquity. Selah.
6 Dychwelant gyda'r nos, yn cyfarth fel cu373?n ac yn prowla trwy'r ddinas.
6They return in the evening; they howl like a dog, and go round about the city:
7 Wele, y mae eu genau'n glafoerio, y mae cleddyf rhwng eu gweflau. "Pwy," meddant, "sy'n clywed?"
7Behold, they belch out with their mouth; swords are in their lips: for who [say they] doth hear?
8 Ond yr wyt ti, ARGLWYDD, yn chwerthin am eu pennau ac yn gwawdio'r holl genhedloedd.
8But thou, Jehovah, wilt laugh at them; thou wilt have all the nations in derision.
9 O fy Nerth, disgwyliaf wrthyt, oherwydd Duw yw f'amddiffynfa.
9Their strength! ... I will take heed to thee; for God is my high fortress.
10 Bydd fy Nuw trugarog yn sefyll o'm plaid; O Dduw, rho imi orfoleddu dros fy ngelynion.
10God, whose loving-kindness will come to meet me, -- God shall let me see [my desire] upon mine enemies.
11 Paid 'u lladd rhag i'm pobl anghofio; gwasgar hwy 'th nerth a darostwng hwy, O Arglwydd, ein tarian.
11Slay them not, lest my people forget; by thy power make them wander, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.
12 Am bechod eu genau a gair eu gwefusau, dalier hwy gan eu balchder eu hunain. Am y melltithion a'r celwyddau a lefarant,
12[Because of] the sin of their mouth, the word of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride; and because of cursing and lying which they speak.
13 difa hwy yn dy lid, difa hwy'n llwyr, fel y bydd yn wybyddus hyd derfynau'r ddaear mai Duw sy'n llywodraethu yn Jacob. Sela.
13Make an end in wrath, make an end, that they may be no more; that they may know that God ruleth in Jacob, unto the ends of the earth. Selah.
14 Dychwelant gyda'r nos, yn cyfarth fel cu373?n ac yn prowla trwy'r ddinas.
14And in the evening they shall return, they shall howl like a dog, and go round about the city.
15 Crwydrant gan chwilio am fwyd, a grwgnach onis digonir.
15They shall wander about for meat, and stay all night if they be not satisfied.
16 Ond canaf fi am dy nerth, a gorfoleddu yn y bore am dy ffyddlondeb; oherwydd buost yn amddiffynfa i mi ac yn noddfa yn nydd fy nghyfyngder.
16But as for me, I will sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of thy loving-kindness in the morning; for thou hast been to me a high fortress, and a refuge in the day of my trouble.
17 O fy Nerth, canaf fawl i ti, oherwydd Duw yw f'amddiffynfa, fy Nuw trugarog.
17Unto thee, my strength, will I sing psalms; for God is my high fortress, the God of my mercy.
