Darby's Translation

Romans

10

1 Fy nghyfeillion, ewyllys fy nghalon, a'm gweddi ar Dduw dros fy mhobl, yw iddynt gael eu dwyn i iachawdwriaeth.
1Brethren, the delight of my own heart and my supplication which [I address] to God for them is for salvation.
2 Gallaf dystio o'u plaid fod ganddynt sl dros Dduw. Ond sl heb ddeall ydyw.
2For I bear them witness that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3 Oherwydd, yn eu hanwybodaeth am gyfiawnder Duw, a'u hymgais i sefydlu eu cyfiawnder eu hunain, nid ydynt wedi ymostwng i gyfiawnder Duw.
3For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own [righteousness], have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
4 Oherwydd Crist yw diwedd y Gyfraith, ac felly, i bob un sy'n credu y daw cyfiawnder Duw.
4For Christ is [the] end of law for righteousness to every one that believes.
5 Ysgrifennodd Moses am y cyfiawnder trwy y Gyfraith: "Y sawl sy'n cadw ei gofynion a gaiff fyw trwyddynt."
5For Moses lays down in writing the righteousness which is of the law, The man who has practised those things shall live by them.
6 Ond fel hyn y dywed y cyfiawnder trwy ffydd: "Paid dweud yn dy galon, 'Pwy a esgyn i'r nef?'" hynny yw, i ddwyn Crist i lawr
6But the righteousness of faith speaks thus: Do not say in thine heart, Who shall ascend to the heavens? that is, to bring Christ down;
7 "neu, 'Pwy a ddisgyn i'r dyfnder?'" hynny yw, i ddwyn Crist i fyny oddi wrth y meirw.
7or, Who shall descend into the abyss? that is, to bring up Christ from among [the] dead.
8 Ond beth mae'n ei ddweud? "Y mae'r gair yn agos atat, yn dy enau ac yn dy galon." A dyma'r gair yr ydym ni yn ei bregethu, gair ffydd, sef:
8But what says it? The word is near thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:
9 "Os cyffesi Iesu yn Arglwydd 'th enau, a chredu yn dy galon fod Duw wedi ei gyfodi ef oddi wrth y meirw, cei dy achub."
9that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among [the] dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 Oherwydd credu 'r galon sy'n esgor ar gyfiawnder, a chyffesu 'r genau sy'n esgor ar iachawdwriaeth.
10For with [the] heart is believed to righteousness; and with [the] mouth confession made to salvation.
11 Y mae'r Ysgrythur yn dweud: "Pob un sy'n credu ynddo, ni chywilyddir mohono."
11For the scripture says, No one believing on him shall be ashamed.
12 Nid oes dim gwahaniaeth rhwng Iddewon a Groegiaid. Yr un Arglwydd sydd i bawb, sy'n rhoi o'i gyfoeth i bawb sy'n galw arno.
12For there is no difference of Jew and Greek; for the same Lord of all [is] rich towards all that call upon him.
13 Oherwydd, yng ngeiriau'r Ysgrythur, "bydd pob un sy'n galw ar enw yr Arglwydd yn cael ei achub, pwy bynnag yw."
13For every one whosoever, who shall call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
14 Ond sut y mae pobl i alw ar rywun nad ydynt wedi credu ynddo? Sut y maent i gredu yn rhywun nad ydynt wedi ei glywed? Sut y maent i glywed, heb fod rhywun yn pregethu?
14How then shall they call upon him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe on him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without one who preaches?
15 Sut y maent i bregethu, heb gael eu hanfon? Fel y mae'r Ysgrythur yn dweud: "Mor weddaidd yw traed y rhai sy'n cyhoeddi newyddion da."
15and how shall they preach unless they have been sent? according as it is written, How beautiful the feet of them that announce glad tidings of peace, of them that announce glad tidings of good things!
16 Eto nid pawb a ufuddhaodd i'r newydd da. Oherwydd y mae Eseia'n dweud, "Arglwydd, pwy a gredodd yr hyn a glywsant gennym?"
16But they have not all obeyed the glad tidings. For Esaias says, Lord, who has believed our report?
17 Felly, o'r hyn a glywir y daw ffydd, a daw'r clywed trwy air Crist.
17So faith then [is] by a report, but the report by God's word.
18 Ond y mae'n rhaid gofyn, "A oedd dichon iddynt fethu clywed?" Nac oedd, yn wir, oherwydd: "Aeth eu lleferydd allan i'r holl ddaear, a'u geiriau hyd eithafoedd byd."
18But I say, Have they not heard? Yea, surely, Their voice has gone out into all the earth, and their words to the extremities of the habitable world.
19 Ond i ofyn peth arall, "A oedd dichon i Israel fethu deall?" Ceir yr ateb yn gyntaf gan Moses: "Fe'ch gwnaf chwi'n eiddigeddus wrth genedl nad yw'n genedl, a'ch gwneud yn ddig wrth genedl ddiddeall."
19But I say, Has not Israel known? First, Moses says, *I* will provoke you to jealousy through [them that are] not a nation: through a nation without understanding I will anger you.
20 Ac yna, y mae Eseia'n beiddio dweud: "Cafwyd fi gan rai nad oeddent yn fy ngheisio; gwelwyd fi gan rai nad oeddent yn holi amdanaf."
20But Esaias is very bold, and says, I have been found by those not seeking me; I have become manifest to those not inquiring after me.
21 Ond am Israel y mae'n dweud: "Ar hyd y dydd bm yn estyn fy nwylo at bobl anufudd a gwrthnysig."
21But unto Israel he says, All the day long I have stretched out my hands unto a people disobeying and opposing.
