1 Chronicles

12

1 Dyma'r rhai a ddaeth i Siclag at Ddafydd tra oedd yn ymguddio rhag Saul fab Cis. Yr oeddent yn wu375?r cedyrn, ac yn ddefnyddiol mewn brwydr
1Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
2 am eu bod yn cario bwu ac yn gallu taflu cerrig a saethu 'r bwa 'u llaw dde a'u llaw chwith. Benjaminiaid oeddent, o dylwyth Saul.
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow: they were of Saul’s brothers of Benjamin.
3 Ahieser a Joas meibion Semaa o Gibea oedd yr arweinwyr; Jesiwl a Phelet meibion Asmafeth; Beracha, a Jehu o Anathoth;
3The chief was Ahiezer; then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth, and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite,
4 Ismaia o Gibeon, y grymusaf o'r Deg ar Hugain ac yn bennaeth arnynt; Jeremeia, Jehasiel, Johanan a Josabad o Gedera,
4and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty, and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite,
5 Elusai, Jerimoth, Bealeia, Semareia, Seffatia yr Haruffiad,
5Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
6 Elcana, Jeseia, Asareel, Joeser a Jasobeam y Corahiaid,
6Elkanah, and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites,
7 Joela a Sebadeia, meibion Jehoram o Gedor.
7and Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 Aeth rhai o'r Gadiaid at Ddafydd i'r gaer yn yr anialwch. Gwu375?r nerthol oeddent, milwyr profiadol mewn brwydr, yn fedrus tharian a gwaywffon, yn edrych fel llewod ac mor gyflym gafrewigod ar y mynyddoedd.
8Of the Gadites there separated themselves to David to the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, that could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the roes on the mountains;
9 Y cyntaf oedd Eser, yr ail Obadeia, y trydydd Eliab,
9Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10 y pedwerydd Mismanna, y pumed Jeremeia,
10Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11 y chweched Attai, y seithfed Eliel,
11Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 yr wythfed Johanan, y nawfed Elsabad,
12Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13 y degfed Jeremeia a'r unfed ar ddeg Machbanai.
13Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
14 Gadiaid oedd y rhain, a phenaethiaid y fyddin; yr oedd cant o ddynion dan y lleiaf ohonynt a mil dan y pwysicaf.
14These of the sons of Gad were captains of the army: he who was least was equal to one hundred, and the greatest to one thousand.
15 Dyma'r rhai a groesodd yr Iorddonen yn y mis cyntaf, pan oedd yr afon wedi gorlifo'i glannau, gan yrru ar ffo bawb oedd yn byw yn y dyffrynnoedd i'r dwyrain a'r gorllewin.
15These are those who went over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
16 Daeth rhai o wu375?r Benjamin a Jwda i'r gaer at Ddafydd,
16There came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the stronghold to David.
17 ac aeth yntau allan atynt a dweud, "Os daethoch ataf mewn heddwch i'm cynorthwyo, yr wyf yn barod i ymuno chwi. Ond os daethoch i'm bradychu i'm gelynion, a minnau'n ddieuog, bydded i Dduw ein tadau sylwi a chosbi."
17David went out to meet them, and answered them, “If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart shall be knit to you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.”
18 Yna meddiannwyd Amasai, pennaeth y Deg ar Hugain, gan yr ysbryd, ac meddai: "Yr ydym ni gyda thi, Ddafydd! Yr ydym o'th blaid, fab Jesse! Llwydd, llwydd fo i ti, a llwydd i'th gynorthwywr! Oherwydd dy Dduw yw dy gymorth." Felly croesawodd Dafydd hwy a'u gwneud yn benaethiaid ar finteioedd.
18Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, “We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse: peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you.” Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
19 Ciliodd rhai o wu375?r Manasse at Ddafydd pan ddaeth ef gyda'r Philistiaid i ymladd yn erbyn Saul. Ond ni chynorthwyodd ef y Philistiaid am i'w tywysogion, wedi ymgynghori 'i gilydd, ei yrru i ffwrdd gan ddweud, "Pe bai'n dychwelyd at ei feistr Saul fe gaem ein lladd."
19Of Manasseh also there fell away some to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle; but they didn’t help them; for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after consultation, saying, “He will fall away to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.”
20 Y rhain oedd y gwu375?r o Manasse a ddaeth ato pan oedd ar y ffordd i Siclag: Adna, Josabad, Jediael, Michael, Josabad, Elihu a Silthai, penaethiaid miloedd ym Manasse.
20As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.
21 Buont hwy o gymorth i Ddafydd yn erbyn yr ysbeilwyr am eu bod i gyd yn wu375?r nerthol ac yn gapteiniaid yn y fyddin.
21They helped David against the band of rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the army.
22 Beunydd yr oedd rhai yn dod i gynorthwyo Dafydd, nes bod y gwersyll wedi tyfu'n un mawr iawn.
22For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like the army of God.
23 Dyma nifer penaethiaid y lluoedd arfog a ddaeth at Ddafydd yn Hebron i roi brenhiniaeth Saul iddo, yn l gair yr ARGLWYDD:
23These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of Yahweh.
24 o feibion Jwda a gludai darian a gwaywffon, chwe mil wyth gant yn y lluoedd arfog;
24The children of Judah who bore shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
25 o feibion Simeon, dynion nerthol i ryfel, saith mil un cant;
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
26 o feibion Lefi, pedair mil chwe chant,
26Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
27 yn ogystal Jehoiada arweinydd yr Aaroniaid gyda thair mil saith gant,
27Jehoiada was the leader of the household of Aaron; and with him were three thousand and seven hundred,
28 a Sadoc, llanc dewr, gyda dau ar hugain o gapteiniaid o du375? ei dad;
28and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father’s house twenty-two captains.
29 o feibion Benjamin, brodyr Saul, tair mil a oedd hyd yr amser hwnnw yng ngwasanaeth tu375? Saul;
29Of the children of Benjamin, the brothers of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Saul.
30 o feibion Effraim, ugain mil wyth gant o wu375?r nerthol, dynion oedd yn enwog yn eu teuluoedd;
30Of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers’ houses.
31 o hanner llwyth Manasse, deunaw mil o wu375?r a etholwyd i ddod a gwneud Dafydd yn frenin;
31Of the half-tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.
32 o feibion Issachar, y rhai oedd yn deall arwyddion yr amseroedd i wybod beth ddylai Israel ei wneud, dau gant o benaethiaid a oedd yn rheoli eu holl frodyr;
32Of the children of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their heads were two hundred; and all their brothers were at their commandment.
33 o Sabulon, hanner can mil o ddynion arfog, profiadol mewn rhyfel a pharod eu cymorth;
33Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array, with all kinds of instruments of war, fifty thousand, and who could command and were not of double heart.
34 o Nafftali, mil o dywysogion, a chyda hwy, yn cario tarian a gwaywffon, dwy fil ar bymtheg ar hugain;
34Of Naphtali one thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty-seven thousand.
35 o'r Daniaid, wyth mil ar hugain chwe chant yn barod i ryfel;
35Of the Danites who could set the battle in array, twenty-eight thousand six hundred.
36 o Aser, deugain mil o filwyr yn barod i fynd allan i ryfela;
36Of Asher, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array, forty thousand.
37 o'r tu hwnt i'r Iorddonen, o'r Reubeniaid a'r Gadiaid a hanner llwyth Manasse, daeth chwech ugain mil gyda phob math o arfau cymwys i ryfel.
37On the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all kinds of instruments of war for the battle, one hundred twenty thousand.
38 Yr oedd y rhain i gyd yn filwyr parod eu cymorth, a daethant i Hebron yn unfryd i wneud Dafydd yn frenin ar holl Israel. Yr oedd pawb arall yn Israel hefyd yn unfryd o blaid gwneud Dafydd yn frenin.
38All these being men of war, who could order the battle array, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
39 Buont yno gyda Dafydd am dridiau yn bwyta ac yn yfed, oherwydd yr oedd eu brodyr wedi paratoi ar eu cyfer.
39They were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brothers had made preparation for them.
40 Yr oedd eu cymdogion hefyd, o gyn belled ag Issachar, Sabulon a Nafftali, wedi dod bwyd ar asynnod, camelod, mulod ac ychen. Daethant blawd, teisennau ffigys, grawnwin, gwin, olew, a llawer o wartheg a defaid, oherwydd yr oedd llawenydd yn Israel.
40Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, food of meal, cakes of figs, and clusters of raisins, and wine, and oil, and cattle, and sheep in abundance: for there was joy in Israel.
