¹ Wedi hyn gorchfygodd Dafydd y Philistiaid a'u darostwng, a chipiodd Gath a'i phentrefi oddi arnynt.

¹After this it happened, that David struck the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.

² Yna gorchfygodd y Moabiaid, a daethant hwy yn ddeiliaid iddo gan dalu treth.

²He struck Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.

³ Gorchfygodd Dafydd hefyd Hadadeser brenin Soba hyd Hamath, pan oedd hwnnw ar ei ffordd i sefydlu ei awdurdod ar lan afon Ewffrates.

³David struck Hadadezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

⁴ Cipiodd Dafydd oddi arno fil o gerbydau, saith mil o farchogion ac ugain mil o wu375?r traed. Cadwodd Dafydd gant o feirch cerbyd, ond torrodd linynnau gar y lleill i gyd.

⁴David took from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.

⁵ Pan ddaeth Syriaid Damascus i helpu Hadadeser brenin Soba, trawodd Dafydd ddwy fil ar hugain ohonynt.

⁵When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Syrians twenty-two thousand men.

⁶ Yna fe osododd Dafydd garsiynau ymhlith Syriaid Damascus, a daeth y Syriaid yn weision i Ddafydd a thalu treth iddo. Yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD yn rhoi buddugoliaeth i Ddafydd ple bynnag yr �i.

⁶Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.

⁷ Cymerodd Dafydd y tarianau aur oedd gan weision Hadadeser, a dygodd hwy i Jerwsalem.

⁷David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

⁸ Hefyd, o Tibhath a Chun, trefi Hadadeser, fe gymerodd Dafydd lawer iawn o bres a ddefnyddiwyd gan Solomon i wneud y m�r pres a'r colofnau a'r llestri pres.

⁸From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much brass, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

⁹ Pan glywodd Toi brenin Hamath fod Dafydd wedi gorchfygu holl fyddin Hadadeser brenin Soba,

⁹When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,

¹⁰ fe anfonodd ei fab Hadoram i ddymuno'n dda i'r Brenin Dafydd a'i longyfarch am iddo ymladd yn erbyn Hadadeser a'i orchfygu; oherwydd bu Hadadeser yn rhyfela'n gyson yn erbyn Toi. Anfonodd hefyd lestri o arian ac o aur ac o bres,

¹⁰he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him; (for Hadadezer had wars with Tou;) and he had with him all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and brass.

¹¹ a chysegrodd y Brenin Dafydd hwy i'r ARGLWYDD, yn ogystal �'r arian a'r aur a gymerodd oddi ar yr holl genhedloedd, sef Edom, Moab, yr Ammoniaid, y Philistiaid a'r Amaleciaid.

¹¹King David also dedicated these to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

¹² Lladdodd Abisai fab Serfia ddeunaw mil o Edomiaid yn Nyffryn yr Halen;

¹²Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.

¹³ yna gosododd garsiynau yn Edom, a daeth yr Edomiaid i gyd yn ddeiliaid i Ddafydd. Yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD yn rhoi buddugoliaeth i Ddafydd ple bynnag yr �i.

¹³He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.

¹⁴ Yr oedd Dafydd yn teyrnasu dros Israel gyfan, ac yn gweinyddu barn a chyfiawnder i'w holl bobl.

¹⁴David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness to all his people.

¹⁵ Joab fab Serfia oedd dros y fyddin; Jehosaffat fab Ahilud yn gofiadur;

¹⁵Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;

¹⁶ Sadoc fab Ahitub, ac Abimelech fab Abiathar yn offeiriaid; Safsa yn ysgrifennydd;

¹⁶and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shavsha was scribe;

¹⁷ Benaia fab Jehoiada dros y Cerethiaid a'r Pelethiaid; a meibion Dafydd yn brif swyddogion yng ngwasanaeth y brenin.

¹⁷and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
