¹ Dyma eiriau'r cyfamod y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses ei wneud �'r Israeliaid yng ngwlad Moab, yn ychwanegol at y cyfamod a wnaeth � hwy yn Horeb.

¹These are the words of the covenant which Yahweh commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

² Galwodd Moses ar Israel gyfan, a dweud wrthynt: Gwelsoch �'ch llygaid eich hunain y cwbl a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD yn yr Aifft i Pharo a'i weision i gyd a'i holl wlad;

²Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, You have seen all that Yahweh did before your eyes in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land;

³ gwelsoch y profion mawr, yr arwyddion a'r argoelion mawr hynny.

³the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders:

⁴ Ond hyd y dydd hwn ni roddodd yr ARGLWYDD ichwi feddwl i ddeall, na llygaid i ganfod, na chlustiau i glywed.

⁴but Yahweh has not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, to this day.

⁵ Yn ystod y deugain mlynedd yr arweiniais chwi drwy'r anialwch, ni threuliodd eich dillad na'r sandalau am eich traed.

⁵I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes have not grown old on you, and your shoes have not grown old on your feet.

⁶ Nid oeddech yn bwyta bara nac yn yfed gwin na diod gadarn, a hynny er mwyn ichwi sylweddoli mai myfi, yr ARGLWYDD, yw eich Duw.

⁶You have not eaten bread, neither have you drunk wine or strong drink; that you may know that I am Yahweh your God.

⁷ Pan ddaethoch i'r lle hwn, daeth Sihon brenin Hesbon ac Og brenin Basan yn ein herbyn i ryfel, ond fe'u gorchfygwyd gennym.

⁷When you came to this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us to battle, and we struck them:

⁸ Wedi inni gymryd eu tir, rhoesom ef yn etifeddiaeth i lwythau Reuben a Gad a hanner llwyth Manasse.

⁸and we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half-tribe of the Manassites.

⁹ Gofalwch gadw gofynion y cyfamod hwn, er mwyn ichwi lwyddo ym mhopeth a wnewch.

⁹Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.

¹⁰ Yr ydych yn sefyll yma heddiw gerbron yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw, pob un ohonoch: penaethiaid eich llwythau, eich henuriaid a'ch swyddogion, pawb o wu375?r Israel,

¹⁰You stand this day all of you before Yahweh your God; your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

¹¹ a hefyd eich plant, eich gwragedd, a'r dieithryn sy'n byw yn eich mysg, yn torri tanwydd ac yn codi du373?r ichwi.

¹¹your little ones, your wives, and your foreigner who is in the midst of your camps, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water;

¹² Yr ydych yn sefyll i dderbyn cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw, a'r cytundeb trwy lw y mae'n ei wneud � chwi heddiw,

¹²that you may enter into the covenant of Yahweh your God, and into his oath, which Yahweh your God makes with you this day;

¹³ i'ch sefydlu'n bobl iddo'i hun, ac yntau'n Dduw i chwi, fel y dywedodd wrthych, ac fel yr addawodd i'ch tadau, Abraham, Isaac a Jacob.

¹³that he may establish you this day to himself for a people, and that he may be to you a God, as he spoke to you, and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

¹⁴ Yr wyf yn gwneud y cyfamod a'r cytundeb hwn trwy lw, nid yn unig � chwi

¹⁴Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath,

¹⁵ sy'n sefyll yma gyda ni heddiw gerbron yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw, ond hefyd �'r rhai nad ydynt yma gyda ni heddiw.

¹⁵but with him who stands here with us this day before Yahweh our God, and also with him who is not here with us this day

¹⁶ Oherwydd fe wyddoch sut yr oedd, pan oeddem yn byw yng ngwlad yr Aifft a phan ddaethom drwy ganol y cenhedloedd ar y ffordd yma;

¹⁶(for you know how we lived in the land of Egypt, and how we came through the midst of the nations through which you passed;

¹⁷ gwelsoch eu delwau ffiaidd a'u heilunod o bren a charreg, o arian ac aur.

¹⁷and you have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them);

¹⁸ Gwyliwch rhag bod yn eich mysg heddiw na gu373?r, gwraig, tylwyth, na llwyth a'i galon yn troi oddi wrth yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw i fynd ac addoli duwiau'r cenhedloedd hynny, a rhag bod yn eich mysg wreiddyn yn cynhyrchu ffrwyth gwenwynig a chwerw.

¹⁸lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from Yahweh our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood;

¹⁹ Os bydd un felly yn clywed geiriau'r cytundeb hwn trwy lw, yn ei ganmol ei hun yn ei galon ac yn dweud, "Byddaf fi'n ddiogel, er imi rodio yn fy nghyndynrwydd", gwylied; oherwydd ysgubir ymaith y tir a ddyfrhawyd yn ogystal �'r sychdir.

¹⁹and it happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, “I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to destroy the moist with the dry.”

²⁰ Bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn anfodlon maddau iddo; yn wir bydd ei ddicter a'i eiddigedd yn cynnau yn erbyn hwnnw, a bydd yr holl felltithion a groniclir yn y llyfr hwn yn disgyn arno. Bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn dileu ei enw oddi tan y nefoedd,

²⁰Yahweh will not pardon him, but then the anger of Yahweh and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and all the curse that is written in this book shall lie on him, and Yahweh will blot out his name from under the sky.

²¹ ac yn ei osod ar wah�n i lwythau Israel i dderbyn drwg yn �l holl felltithion y cyfamod a gynhwysir yn y llyfr hwn o'r gyfraith.

²¹Yahweh will set him apart to evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that is written in this book of the law.

²² Bydd y genhedlaeth nesaf, sef eich plant a ddaw ar eich �l, a'r estron a ddaw o wlad bell, yn gweld y pl�u a'r clefydau a anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD ar y wlad.

²²The generation to come, your children who shall rise up after you, and the foreigner who shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses with which Yahweh has made it sick;

²³ Bydd brwmstan a halen wedi llosgi'r holl dir, heb ddim yn cael ei hau, na dim yn egino, na'r un blewyn glas yn tyfu ynddo. Bydd fel galanastra Sodom a Gomorra, neu Adma a Seboim, y bu i'r ARGLWYDD eu dymchwel yn ei ddicter a'i lid.

²³and that the whole land of it is sulfur, salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Yahweh overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

²⁴ A bydd yr holl genhedloedd yn gofyn, "Pam y gwnaeth yr ARGLWYDD hyn i'r wlad hon? Pam y dicter mawr, deifiol hwn?"

²⁴even all the nations shall say, “Why has Yahweh done thus to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?”

²⁵ A'r ateb fydd: "Am iddynt dorri cyfamod ARGLWYDD Dduw eu hynafiaid, y cyfamod a wnaeth � hwy pan ddaeth � hwy allan o'r Aifft.

²⁵Then men shall say, “Because they forsook the covenant of Yahweh, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt,

²⁶ Aethant a gwasanaethu duwiau estron, ac addoli duwiau nad oeddent wedi eu hadnabod ac nad oedd ef wedi eu pennu ar eu cyfer.

²⁶and went and served other gods, and worshiped them, gods that they didn’t know, and that he had not given to them:

²⁷ Enynnodd dicter yr ARGLWYDD yn erbyn y wlad honno, fel y dygodd arni'r holl felltithion a gynhwysir yn y llyfr hwn.

²⁷therefore the anger of Yahweh was kindled against this land, to bring on it all the curse that is written in this book;

²⁸ Dinistriodd yr ARGLWYDD hwy o'u tir mewn digofaint a llid a dicter mawr, a'u bwrw i wlad arall, lle y maent o hyd."

²⁸and Yahweh rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as at this day.”

²⁹ Y mae'r pethau dirgel yn eiddo i'r ARGLWYDD ein Duw; ond y mae'r pethau a ddatguddiwyd yn perthyn am byth i ni a'n plant, er mwyn i ni gadw holl ofynion y gyfraith hon.

²⁹The secret things belong to Yahweh our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
