Deuteronomy

31

1 Yna aeth Moses ymlaen a llefaru'r geiriau hyn wrth Israel gyfan:
1Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel.
2 Yr wyf fi bellach yn gant ac ugain oed. Ni fedraf fynd a dod fel yr arferwn wneud, ac y mae'r ARGLWYDD wedi dweud wrthyf na chaf groesi'r Iorddonen hon.
2He said to them, “I am one hundred twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: and Yahweh has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’
3 Yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw ei hun fydd yn mynd drosodd ac yn distrywio'r cenhedloedd hyn o'th flaen, a byddi dithau'n meddiannu eu tir dan arweiniad Josua, fel y dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD.
3Yahweh your God, he will go over before you; he will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua shall go over before you, as Yahweh has spoken.
4 Fe wna'r ARGLWYDD iddynt fel y gwnaeth i Sihon ac Og, brenhinoedd yr Amoriaid, ac i'w gwlad pan ddistrywiodd hwy.
4Yahweh will do to them as he did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land; whom he destroyed.
5 Rhydd yr ARGLWYDD hwy yn dy ddwylo, a gwna dithau iddynt yn l y cwbl a orchmynnais iti.
5Yahweh will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandment which I have commanded you.
6 Bydd yn gryf a dewr; paid 'u hofni na dychryn rhagddynt, oherwydd bydd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn mynd gyda thi, ac ni fydd yn dy adael nac yn cefnu arnat.
6Be strong and courageous, don’t be afraid, nor be scared of them: for Yahweh your God, he it is who does go with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.”
7 Wedi i Moses alw Josua, dywedodd wrtho gerbron Israel gyfan, "Bydd yn gryf a dewr, oherwydd ti sydd i fynd 'r bobl hyn i'r wlad yr addawodd yr ARGLWYDD i'w hynafiaid y byddai'n ei rhoi iddynt; a thi sydd i roi iddynt feddiant ohoni.
7Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous: for you shall go with this people into the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.
8 Bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn mynd o'th flaen, a bydd ef gyda thi; ni fydd yn dy adael nac yn cefnu arnat. Paid ag ofni na dychryn."
8Yahweh, he it is who does go before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed.”
9 Ysgrifennodd Moses y gyfraith hon a'i rhoi i'r offeiriaid, meibion Lefi, a oedd yn cludo arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD, ac i holl henuriaid Israel hefyd.
9Moses wrote this law, and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and to all the elders of Israel.
10 Gorchmynnodd Moses iddynt, "Ar ddiwedd pob saith mlynedd, yr adeg a bennir yn flwyddyn gollyngdod, ar u373?yl y Pebyll,
10Moses commanded them, saying, “At the end of every seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the feast of tents,
11 pan fydd Israel gyfan yn dod i ymddangos gerbron yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn y man y bydd yn ei ddewis, yr wyt ti i gyhoeddi'r gyfraith hon yng ngu373?ydd ac yng nghlyw Israel gyfan.
11when all Israel has come to appear before Yahweh your God in the place which he shall choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
12 Cynnull y bobl, yn wu375?r, gwragedd a phlant, a'r dieithriaid sy'n byw yn dy drefi, er mwyn iddynt glywed, a dysgu ofni'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw a gofalu gwneud popeth yn y gyfraith hon.
12Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and your foreigner who is within your gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear Yahweh your God, and observe to do all the words of this law;
13 Y mae eu plant hefyd, nad ydynt yn ei gwybod, i wrando arni a dysgu ofni'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw tra byddant yn byw yn y tir yr wyt yn croesi'r Iorddonen i'w feddiannu."
13and that their children, who have not known, may hear, and learn to fear Yahweh your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”
14 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses, "Y mae dydd dy farw yn nesu; galw Josua, a chymerwch eich lle ym mhabell y cyfarfod, er mwyn imi roi gorchymyn iddo." Wedi i Moses a Josua fynd a chymryd eu lle ym mhabell y cyfarfod,
14Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, your days approach that you must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the Tent of Meeting, that I may commission him.” Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the Tent of Meeting.
15 ymddangosodd yr ARGLWYDD yn y babell mewn colofn gwmwl, a safodd y golofn gwmwl wrth ddrws y babell.
15Yahweh appeared in the Tent in a pillar of cloud: and the pillar of cloud stood over the door of the Tent.
16 A dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses, "Gyda hyn byddi'n mynd i orwedd gyda'th hynafiaid, a bydd y bobl hyn yn dechrau puteinio ar l duwiau dieithr y wlad y maent yn mynd i mewn iddi; byddant yn fy ngwrthod i, ac yn torri fy nghyfamod a wneuthum hwy.
16Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers; and this people will rise up, and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land, where they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
17 Yna fe enynnir fy nig yn eu herbyn, a byddaf finnau yn eu gwrthod ac yn cuddio fy wyneb rhagddynt; byddant yn barod i'w difa, a daw llawer o drychinebau ac argyfyngau ar eu llwybr. Y diwrnod hwnnw fe ddywedant, 'Onid am nad yw ein Duw yn ein plith y daeth y drygau hyn i'n rhan?'
17Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’
18 A byddaf fi'n cuddio fy wyneb yn llwyr rhagddynt y diwrnod hwnnw, oherwydd yr holl ddrygioni a wnaethant wrth droi at dduwiau estron.
18I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they shall have worked, in that they are turned to other gods.
19 "Yn awr, ysgrifennwch y gerdd hon a'i dysgu i'r Israeliaid, a pheri iddynt ei hadrodd, fel y bydd yn dyst gennyf yn eu herbyn.
19“Now therefore write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
20 Wedi imi ddod hwy i'r tir a addewais i'w hynafiaid, tir yn llifeirio o laeth a ml, lle y cnt fwyta'u gwala a phesgi, byddant yn troi at dduwiau estron ac yn eu gwasanaethu, ond byddant yn fy nirmygu i ac yn torri fy nghyfamod.
20For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat; then will they turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.
21 Yna, pan ddaw llawer o drychinebau ac argyfyngau ar eu llwybr, bydd y gerdd hon yn dyst yn eu herbyn; oherwydd nid 'n angof gan eu disgynyddion. Ond gwn beth y maent eisoes yn bwriadu ei wneud, cyn imi eu dwyn i mewn i'r wlad a addewais iddynt."
21It shall happen, when many evils and troubles have come on them, that this song shall testify before them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they frame this day, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.”
22 Ysgrifennodd Moses y gerdd hon y diwrnod hwnnw, a dysgodd hi i'r Israeliaid.
22So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.
23 A rhoddodd yr ARGLWYDD orchymyn i Josua fab Nun a dweud wrtho, "Bydd yn gryf a dewr, oherwydd ti sydd i ddod 'r Israeliaid i'r wlad a addewais iddynt; a byddaf fi gyda thi."
23He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them: and I will be with you.”
24 Pan orffennodd Moses ysgrifennu geiriau'r gyfraith hon mewn llyfr, o'r dechrau i'r diwedd,
24It happened, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
25 rhoddodd i'r Lefiaid, a oedd yn cludo arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD, y gorchymyn hwn:
25that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, saying,
26 "Cymerwch y llyfr cyfraith hwn, a rhowch ef wrth ochr arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw, i aros yno'n dyst yn eich erbyn;
26“Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.
27 oherwydd gwn mor wrthnysig a gwargaled ydych. Yn wir, os ydych yn wrthryfelgar yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD heddiw, a minnau'n dal yn fyw yn eich mysg, pa faint mwy felly y byddwch wedi imi farw!
27For I know your rebellion, and your stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, you have been rebellious against Yahweh; and how much more after my death?
28 Casglwch ataf holl henuriaid a swyddogion eich llwythau, er mwyn imi lefaru'r geiriau hyn yn eu clyw, a galw nef a daear yn dystion yn eu herbyn.
28Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
29 Gwn y byddwch, wedi imi farw, yn ymddwyn yn gwbl lygredig, gan gilio o'r ffordd a orchmynnais ichwi; felly, fe ddaw dinistr ar eich gwarthaf yn y dyddiau sy'n dod, am ichwi wneud yr hyn sy'n ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD, a'i ddigio gwaith eich dwylo."
29For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days; because you will do that which is evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.”
30 Llefarodd Moses eiriau'r gerdd hon, o'i dechrau i'w diwedd, yng nghlyw holl gynulliad Israel.
30Moses spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were finished.
