¹ Yn awr, O Israel, gwrando ar y deddfau a'r cyfreithiau yr wyf yn eu dysgu ichwi heddiw; cadwch hwy er mwyn ichwi gael byw a mynd i feddiannu'r wlad y mae'r ARGLWYDD, Duw eich hynafiaid, yn ei rhoi ichwi.

¹Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances, which I teach you, to do them; that you may live, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, gives you.

² Peidiwch ag ychwanegu dim at yr hyn yr wyf yn ei orchymyn ichwi, nac ychwaith dynnu oddi wrtho, ond cadw at orchmynion yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yr wyf fi yn eu gorchymyn ichwi.

²You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you.

³ Gwelsoch �'ch llygaid eich hunain yr hyn a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD yn Baal-peor; oherwydd dinistriodd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw o'ch plith bob un oedd yn dilyn Baal Peor;

³Your eyes have seen what Yahweh did because of Baal Peor; for all the men who followed Baal Peor, Yahweh your God has destroyed them from the midst of you.

⁴ ond yr ydych chwi i gyd sydd wedi glynu wrth yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn fyw hyd heddiw.

⁴But you who were faithful to Yahweh your God are all alive this day.

⁵ Gwelwch fy mod wedi dysgu ichwi'r deddfau a'r cyfreithiau, fel y gorch-mynnodd yr ARGLWYDD fy Nuw imi, er mwyn ichwi eu cadw yn y wlad yr ydych yn mynd i mewn i'w meddiannu.

⁵Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as Yahweh my God commanded me, that you should do so in the midst of the land where you go in to possess it.

⁶ Gofalwch eu cadw, oherwydd dyma fydd eich doethineb a'ch deall yng ngolwg y bobloedd; a phan glywant hwy y deddfau hyn, byddant yn dweud, "Yn wir pobl ddoeth a deallus yw'r genedl fawr hon."

⁶Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who shall hear all these statutes, and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

⁷ Yn wir pa genedl fawr sydd a chanddi dduw mor agos ati ag yw'r ARGLWYDD ein Duw ni bob tro y byddwn yn galw arno?

⁷For what great nation is there, that has a god so near to them, as Yahweh our God is whenever we call on him?

⁸ A pha genedl fawr sydd a chanddi ddeddfau a chyfreithiau mor gyfiawn �'r holl gyfraith hon yr wyf yn ei gosod o'ch blaen heddiw?

⁸What great nation is there, that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

⁹ Bydd ofalus, a gwylia'n ddyfal rhag iti anghofio'r pethau a welodd dy lygaid, a rhag iddynt gilio o'th feddwl holl ddyddiau dy fywyd; dysga hwy i'th blant ac i blant dy blant.

⁹Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your children and your children’s children;

¹⁰ Y dydd pan oeddit ti yn sefyll o flaen yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn Horeb, fe ddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthyf, "Cynnull y bobl ataf, a chyhoeddaf iddynt fy ngeiriau, er mwyn iddynt ddysgu fy ofni holl ddyddiau eu bywyd ar y ddaear, a bydded iddynt ddysgu eu plant i wneud hyn."

¹⁰the day that you stood before Yahweh your God in Horeb, when Yahweh said to me, “Assemble me the people, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”

¹¹ Daethoch chwi yn agos, a sefyll wrth droed y mynydd, ac yr oedd y mynydd yn llosgi gan d�n hyd entrych y nefoedd; ac yr oedd yno dywyllwch, cwmwl a chaddug.

¹¹You came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire to the heart of the sky, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.

¹² Llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthych o ganol y t�n; ond nid oeddech chwi'n gweld unrhyw ffurf, dim ond clywed llais.

¹²Yahweh spoke to you out of the midst of the fire: you heard the voice of words, but you saw no form; you only heard a voice.

¹³ Mynegodd i chwi ei gyfamod, sef y deg gorchymyn yr oedd yn eu gorchymyn i chwi eu cadw, ac ysgrifennodd hwy ar ddwy lechen.

¹³He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments; and he wrote them on two tables of stone.

¹⁴ Yr adeg honno gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i mi ddysgu ichwi'r deddfau a'r gorchmynion, er mwyn ichwi eu cadw yn y wlad yr oeddech yn mynd iddi i'w meddiannu.

¹⁴Yahweh commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and ordinances, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it.

¹⁵ Gan na welsoch unrhyw ffurf, y dydd y llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthych o ganol y t�n yn Horeb,

¹⁵Take therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no kind of form on the day that Yahweh spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire.

¹⁶ gofalwch beidio � gweithredu'n llygredig trwy wneud i chwi eich hunain ddelw ar ffurf unrhyw fath ar gerflun, na ffurf dyn na gwraig,

¹⁶Lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself an engraved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

¹⁷ nac unrhyw anifail ar y ddaear, nac unrhyw aderyn sy'n hedfan yn yr awyr,

¹⁷the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky,

¹⁸ nac unrhyw beth sy'n ymlusgo ar y ddaear, nac unrhyw bysgodyn sydd yn y du373?r dan y ddaear.

¹⁸the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth;

¹⁹ Gwylia hefyd na fyddi'n codi dy olwg i'r nefoedd ac edrych ar yr haul, y lleuad neu'r s�r, holl lu'r nefoedd, a chael dy ddenu i ymgrymu iddynt a'u haddoli; neilltuodd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw y rhain ar gyfer yr holl bobloedd dan y nefoedd.

¹⁹and lest you lift up your eyes to the sky, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the army of the sky, you are drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which Yahweh your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole sky.

²⁰ Ond cymerodd yr ARGLWYDD chwi, a daeth � chwi allan o'r ffwrnais haearn, o'r Aifft, i fod yn bobl sy'n etifeddiaeth iddo'i hun, fel yr ydych heddiw.

²⁰But Yahweh has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as at this day.

²¹ Yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD yn ddig wrthyf o'ch achos chwi, a thyngodd na chawn groesi'r Iorddonen, na mynd i mewn i'r wlad dda y mae'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn ei rhoi yn feddiant iti.

²¹Furthermore Yahweh was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not go in to that good land, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance:

²² Byddaf fi yn marw yn y wlad hon, ac ni chaf groesi'r Iorddonen, ond byddwch chwi yn croesi ac yn meddiannu'r wlad dda hon.

²²but I must die in this land, I must not go over the Jordan; but you shall go over, and possess that good land.

²³ Byddwch ofalus rhag anghofio'r cyfamod a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw � chwi, a gwneud i chwi eich hunain ddelw gerfiedig ar ffurf unrhyw beth a waharddodd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw.

²³Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he made with you, and make you an engraved image in the form of anything which Yahweh your God has forbidden you.

²⁴ Oherwydd t�n yn ysu yw'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw; y mae ef yn Dduw eiddigus.

²⁴For Yahweh your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.

²⁵ Pan fydd gennych blant ac wyrion, a chwithau wedi mynd yn hen yn y wlad, os byddwch yn gweithredu'n llygredig trwy wneud delw gerfiedig ar unrhyw ffurf, ac yn gwneud drwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw ac ennyn ei ddig,

²⁵When you shall father children, and children’s children, and you shall have been long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make an engraved image in the form of anything, and shall do that which is evil in the sight of Yahweh your God, to provoke him to anger;

²⁶ yna yr adeg honno byddaf yn galw ar y nefoedd a'r ddaear i dystio yn eich erbyn, a byddwch yn sicr o ddiflannu'n gyflym o'r wlad yr ydych wedi croesi'r Iorddonen i'w meddiannu; ni chewch aros yno'n hir, ond fe'ch difethir yn llwyr.

²⁶I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you go over the Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days on it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

²⁷ Bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn eich gwasgaru ymhlith y bobloedd, ac ni adewir ond ychydig ohonoch ymhlith y cenhedloedd y bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn eich arwain atynt.

²⁷Yahweh will scatter you among the peoples, and you shall be left few in number among the nations, where Yahweh shall lead you away.

²⁸ Yna byddwch yn addoli duwiau o waith dwylo dynol, duwiau o bren a cherrig, nad ydynt yn gweld nac yn clywed nac yn bwyta nac yn arogli.

²⁸There you shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

²⁹ Os byddwch yn ceisio'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw yno, ac yn chwilio amdano �'ch holl galon ac �'ch holl enaid, byddwch yn ei gael.

²⁹But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you shall find him, when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

³⁰ Pan fydd yn gyfyng arnat, a'r holl bethau hyn yn digwydd iti yn y dyddiau sy'n dod, yna tro at yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw a gwrando ar ei lais.

³⁰When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to Yahweh your God, and listen to his voice:

³¹ Oherwydd Duw trugarog yw'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw; ni fydd yn dy siomi nac yn dy ddifa, ac ni fydd yn anghofio'r cyfamod a wnaeth trwy lw �'th hynafiaid.

³¹for Yahweh your God is a merciful God; he will not fail you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

³² Ystyria'r dyddiau gynt, cyn dy amser di, o'r dydd y creodd Duw ddyn ar y ddaear, a chwilia'r nefoedd o un cwr i'r llall. A fu peth mor fawr � hyn, neu a glywyd am beth tebyg?

³²For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been anything as this great thing is, or has been heard like it?

³³ A glywodd pobl lais Duw yn llefaru o ganol t�n, fel y clywaist ti, a byw?

³³Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

³⁴ A geisiodd unrhyw dduw ddod i gymryd iddo'i hun genedl o ganol cenedl trwy dreialon, arwyddion, rhyfeddodau, a brwydr, ac � llaw gadarn a braich estynedig a llawer o bethau arswydus, fel y gwnaeth yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn eich gu373?ydd yn yr Aifft?

³⁴Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yahweh your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

³⁵ Cefaist ti brofi hyn er mwyn iti wybod mai'r ARGLWYDD sydd Dduw, ac nad oes un arall.

³⁵It was shown to you so that you might know that Yahweh is God. There is no one else besides him.

³⁶ Parodd iti glywed ei lais o'r nefoedd i'th ddisgyblu, a dangosodd iti ei d�n mawr ar y ddaear, a chlywaist ei eiriau o ganol y t�n.

³⁶Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: and on earth he made you to see his great fire; and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

³⁷ Am iddo garu dy hynafiaid a dewis eu plant ar eu h�l, y daeth � thi allan o'r Aifft trwy ei bresenoldeb � nerth mawr,

³⁷Because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought you out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;

³⁸ a gyrru allan o'th flaen genhedloedd oedd yn fwy ac yn gryfach na thi, a'th arwain a rhoi iti eu gwlad yn etifeddiaeth, fel y mae heddiw.

³⁸to drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as at this day.

³⁹ Heddiw yr wyt ti i gydnabod ac i ystyried mai'r ARGLWYDD sydd Dduw yn y nefoedd uchod ac ar y ddaear isod, ac nad oes un arall.

³⁹Know therefore this day, and lay it to your heart, that Yahweh he is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is none else.

⁴⁰ Cadw ei ddeddfau, a'r gorchmynion yr wyf yn eu gorchymyn iti heddiw, fel y bydd yn dda arnat ac ar dy blant ar dy �l, ac iti gael oes faith ar y ddaear y mae'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn ei rhoi iti am byth.

⁴⁰You shall keep his statutes, and his commandments, which I command you this day, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land, which Yahweh your God gives you, forever.

⁴¹ Yna neilltuodd Moses dair dinas yn y dwyrain, yn y tir y tu hwnt i'r Iorddonen,

⁴¹Then Moses set apart three cities beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise;

⁴² er mwyn i'r sawl a fyddai'n lladd ei gymydog yn anfwriadol, heb elyniaeth rhyngddynt yn flaenorol, gael ffoi iddynt. Trwy ffoi i un o'r dinasoedd hyn byddai'n arbed ei fywyd.

⁴²that the manslayer might flee there, who kills his neighbor unawares, and didn’t hate him in time past; and that fleeing to one of these cities he might live:

⁴³ Y dinasoedd oedd: Beser yng ngwastatir yr anialwch ar gyfer y Reubeniaid; Ramoth yn Gilead ar gyfer y Gadiaid; Golan yn Basan ar gyfer y Manasseaid.

⁴³Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, for the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, for the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, for the Manassites.

⁴⁴ Dyma'r gyfraith a osododd Moses gerbron yr Israeliaid.

⁴⁴This is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:

⁴⁵ A dyma'r rheolau, y deddfau a'r cyfreithiau a lefarodd Moses wrth yr Israeliaid, wedi iddynt ddod allan o'r Aifft,

⁴⁵these are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which Moses spoke to the children of Israel, when they came forth out of Egypt,

⁴⁶ pan oeddent y tu hwnt i'r Iorddonen yn y dyffryn gyferbyn � Beth-peor yng ngwlad Sihon brenin yr Amoriaid, a oedd yn byw yn Hesbon ac a orchfygwyd gan Moses a'r Israeliaid ar eu taith allan o'r Aifft.

⁴⁶beyond the Jordan, in the valley over against Beth Peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck, when they came forth out of Egypt.

⁴⁷ Cymerasant ei wlad ef a gwlad Og brenin Basan, dau frenin yr Amoriaid oedd yn y dwyrain, yn y diriogaeth y tu hwnt i'r Iorddonen.

⁴⁷They took his land in possession, and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise;

⁴⁸ Yr oedd y diriogaeth yn ymestyn o Aroer, ar lan nant Arnon, at Fynydd Sirion, sef Hermon,

⁴⁸from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, even to Mount Sion (the same is Hermon),

⁴⁹ ac yn cynnwys y cyfan o'r Araba i'r dwyrain o'r Iorddonen, hyd at f�r yr Araba islaw llethrau Pisga.

⁴⁹and all the Arabah beyond the Jordan eastward, even to the sea of the Arabah, under the slopes of Pisgah.
