1 Yna fe ddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses, "Tyrd i fyny at yr ARGLWYDD, ti ac Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, a deg a thrigain o henuriaid Israel, ac addolwch o bell.
1He said to Moses, “Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship from a distance.
2 Moses yn unig sydd i nesu at yr ARGLWYDD; nid yw'r lleill i ddod yn agos, ac nid yw'r bobl i fynd i fyny gydag ef."
2Moses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near, neither shall the people go up with him.”
3 Pan ddaeth Moses, a mynegi i'r bobl holl eiriau'r ARGLWYDD a'r holl ddeddfau, atebodd y bobl i gyd yn unfryd, "Fe wnawn y cyfan a ddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD."
3Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”
4 Yna ysgrifennodd Moses holl eiriau'r ARGLWYDD. Cododd yn gynnar yn y bore, ac wrth droed y mynydd adeiladodd allor a deuddeg colofn yn cyfateb i ddeuddeg llwyth Israel.
4Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.
5 Anfonodd lanciau o blith yr Israeliaid i offrymu poethoffrymau ac aberthu bustych yn heddoffrymau i'r ARGLWYDD.
5He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to Yahweh.
6 Yna cymerodd Moses hanner y gwaed a'i roi mewn cawgiau, a thywallt yr hanner arall dros yr allor.
6Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7 Cymerodd lyfr y cyfamod, ac ar l iddo'i ddarllen yng nghlyw'r bobl, dywedasant,
7He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “All that Yahweh has spoken will we do, and be obedient.”
8 "Fe wnawn y cyfan a ddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD, a byddwn yn ufudd iddo." Yna cymerodd Moses y gwaed a'i daenellu dros y bobl, a dweud, "Dyma waed y cyfamod a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD chwi yn unol 'r holl eiriau hyn."
8Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”
9 Yna aeth Moses i fyny gydag Aaron, Nadab, Abihu a'r deg a thrigain o henuriaid Israel,
9Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.
10 a gwelsant Dduw Israel; o dan ei draed yr oedd rhywbeth tebyg i balmant o faen saffir, yn ddisglair fel y nefoedd ei hun.
10They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire or, lapis lazuli stone, like the skies for clearness.
11 Ni osododd ei law ar benaethiaid pobl Israel; ond cawsant weld Duw a bwyta ac yfed.
11He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw God, and ate and drank.
12 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses, "Tyrd i fyny ataf i'r mynydd, ac aros yno; yna fe roddaf iti lechau o garreg, gyda'r gyfraith a'r gorchymyn a ysgrifennais ar eu cyfer i'w hyfforddi."
12Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the tables of stone with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”
13 Felly cododd Moses a'i was, Josua, ac aeth Moses i fyny i fynydd Duw.
13Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.
14 Dywedodd wrth yr henuriaid, "Arhoswch yma amdanom nes inni ddod yn l atoch; bydd Aaron a Hur gyda chwi, ac os bydd gan rywun gu373?yn, aed atynt hwy."
14He said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.”
15 Aeth Moses i fyny i'r mynydd, a gorchuddiwyd y mynydd gan gwmwl.
15Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
16 Arhosodd gogoniant yr ARGLWYDD ar Fynydd Sinai, a gorchuddiodd y cwmwl y mynydd am chwe diwrnod; yna ar y seithfed dydd, galwodd Duw ar Moses o ganol y cwmwl.
16The glory of Yahweh settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
17 Yr oedd gogoniant yr ARGLWYDD yn ymddangos yng ngolwg pobl Israel fel tn yn difa ar ben y mynydd.
17The appearance of the glory of Yahweh was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18 Aeth Moses i ganol y cwmwl, a dringodd i fyny'r mynydd, a bu yno am ddeugain diwrnod a deugain nos.
18Moses entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
